“It's been awhile since I've gone to an L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, so needless to say, I was pretty stoked to get a meal. The restaurant is hard to miss, as it's painted in bright, tropical colors; but that definitely fits the vibe I assume they're going for. There's lots of outdoor seating on the deck and it was easy to find a good spot in the corner that overlooks the main drag. As for the most important part, the food, it didn't disappoint. For a little over $12 (I ordered brown rice instead of white, so I was charged 50 cents more), I got a pretty serious heap of BBQ chicken, salad, and the aforementioned rice. All of it was fresh and delicious, and because of the quantity, I had to take some of it home (I don't usually do that). The only issue was that the lady that originally took our order had a difficult time understanding what we wanted, but that's not a deal breaker because, whom I assume was the manager, stepped in and got our order punched in correctly. Overall, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is an incredible bang for your buck, so don't hesitate to pay them a visit if you are ever in town.“
“We just happened to be driving by and found this spot. Super friendly lady helped us and we got two orders of the butter garlic shrimp. I've had garlic shrimp in North shore, Maui, other places in big island and this is possibly the best garlic shrimp I've had. It was I think $14 and came with a lot of shrimp. One warning, it was probably the most garlicky dish I've ever had. That's a big plus for us so we loved it. The spicy aioli like sauce that came with it was great to eat with the shrimp and the Mac salad. Overall amazing taste and value. Don't miss this place.“
“Great place to stop for food. I am here at least once a week to get Fried Chicken and Potato Wedges for dinner. I will say that they have some excellent employees you will feel very well taken care of if you have the pleasure of being helped by Alyn, Amy, Celeste or Julia as they treat you like family. Yes, it is a gas station but Gas stations in Hawaii are usually a good place to get good food at a good price.“
