“Kimo is such a great guy. My Hawaii trip had taken a turn for the worst and I admittedly went to his beach bar to drink some sadness away. Ended up meeting tons of great people there including Kimo. On my last day in Hawaii he gave me a goody bag with some original Hawaiian treats and a nice calendar. I promised him a bottle of Canadian maple syrup next time I'm in Hawaii and I'm looking forward to sharing a drink with him again.

“I met 3 friends for dinner here last night. We each ordered a sandwich or a burger. I ordered the BLT b/c they offered to substitute the bacon with avocado. But then they were out of avocados. No big deal, the LT on sourdough was good. More vegetarian options on the menu would be nice. It was a bit loud by the bar, so I'd recommend asking for a table away from it. Overall, the value was decent. It seems like a Honolulu dinner out with a mocktail these days costs about $40/person, and that tracked here.“

“All about the location. Great vibes, comfy and quiet considering it’s mostly military. Prices are standard and tough if you aren’t military. Hotel is like a campus, fun to explore. Great spot to spend a few hours going between the beach and the bar.“

“Had their loco moco, the gravy was good, it had a lumpy gelatinous look of what I would imagine home made gravy to be like. Hamburger was good not too much filler or binder. I think the only thing I had issue with was the quantity for $22. When I eat a loco moco I think plate lunch so I feel like quantity is important. But it's a bar and there are a lot of pupus to eat.

Chicken kastu was chicken chunks like a mochiko chicken style not a cutlet. Which at first surprised me but it worked and made it more shareable with better batter coverage.

Chili mandoo was underwhelming. Steamed mandoo with fried chili oil. I am not getting it again

I would recommend the fried rice. They put a sauce on it that does make it kinda sweet which works well with the bacon or smoked meats. It made me think of candied bacon. I'd probably order this again.

Sliders were good, the hamburger patty was the same as the loco moco I think.

Server was friendly and helpful.

Nothing on tap though and no pale ales or blondes at least when I asked.

Place could use a sign with entrance just to make things a little easier. I had to walk around looking for the door that looked most like an entrance.“

“Stopped in for a quick drink around 5ish on a Wednesday before our dinner reservation nearby. It was happy hour at that time (Wed-Sat, 5 to 7). They have some cocktails for $12, wines for $14, beer for $5-$6, and discounted bar snacks. There was something called “cocktail of the day” as a part of the happy hour menu, which I don’t think they really set because when we asked the bartended about it, she said she could just make us whatever we liked. So she asked what our liquor of choice was (whiskey) and if we liked more sweet/sour/strong. My husband and I each told her our preferences and she expertly made us each two very different drinks that we both enjoyed. You could tell she was a bartended who was actually good at her job, and not one just pouring alcohol. If we didn’t have the dinner reservation, we probably would have stayed for another drink and some bar snacks. Definitely worth checking out – especially during happy hour!“

The chicken and soju here were to die for — crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. But what really made the night was the karaoke! Great setup, fun vibes, and just an all-around awesome time with friends. Solid service and a chill, lively atmosphere. Definitely coming back for more food, drinks, and great times!“

“Stopped by LBLE bar twice on our NYE trip to Waikiki.

The 1st time, we stopped by for a drink, waiting for our room. We were able to catch the Saturday afternoon football game on the huge TV, grab HH drinks and some lau lau nachos.

The 2nd visit, we went to watch the week 18 49ers vs Seahawks game, we ordered HH drinks and was able to order from Blake's secret menu! Blake went out of his way to make us a rootbeer float.

The great service from Blake the bartender is what drove us to come back for a 2nd visit. We enjoyed our time spent in LBLE Lounge and will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Shout out to Blake for making our visit enjoyable.

“Amazing! Had a blast at the bar the HH has $2 oysters which is a steal in Hawaii. Also had some Paloma’s and Mai Tais and the sliders. the pool vibe was awesome dj during the day and Ramon is the best bartender even recommended some places to go for clubbing and took good care of the hubby and I service is top notch and we will be back next vacation for that reason!“

“My friend and I decided to aimlessly wander from Chinatown and came across this wonderful gem. The moment we came in the bartender greeted us with a smile and gave us some popcorn with our beers. Movies were played on the tv and some other patrons played music on the TouchTunes. Lovely place.“

“A hidden gem. Great prices, food and service. Had a special of the day fried chicken sandwich with fries instead of salad. On special it was 8$ instead of 15$. That’s a double stacked filet with a double order of fries. 8$ will get you just a sandwich at a fast food chicken place. 16 oz guava juice was 2$. I’m going to have lunch there weekly from now on.“

“It's been a while since I visited Bar 35. Sat at the bar with friends and had a wonderful time. It has a live entertainer (a singer) tonight and he was awesome! Had the pork belly and Brussels sprouts--both were delish! Will definitely go back more often!

“It's my neighborhood so I use it often.This is a Whole Foods store in Kahala Mall, right next to Whole Foods, and although it looks like a pub at first glance, the food is delicious. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy just the food without having to order alcohol.The daily menu is a great deal!I often go on ?Taco Tuesday on Tuesdays. The store opens at 1pm in the afternoon.“
