“This place was so much fun! Happy to find a line dancing bar on base! It was my first time there and heard they closed for a while and made a lot of improvements. I could tell cause everything was so clean, up to date and the floor was huge! Music was great and cant wait to go back again!“
“It may not seem like much at first glance, with a limited selection of drinks to choose from at this bar, but a few good pointers to note is the drinks range from about 4.50-5, and have a decent cost on pitchers too. There is a restaurant next door that serves wings, jerk chicken, and a few other things that you can buy that they can serve to you at the bar. The bar also has a decent amount of high table seating inside, and plenty of tables outside, with some being under the cover of the extension of the roof. The biggest takeaway is the fact that they have 4 pool tables, and you can rent a set of balls for free, on the condition that you have to turn in a form of ID, likely your CAC. When it's not busy and people aren't waiting to rent balls, you can play until close. Otherwise, you'll only be able to rent for 1 hour and wait for your turn. The atmosphere is generally nice, and the music ranges from Techno for one playlist, to multiple forms of Rock, to some popish music. Maybe you can request, but otherwise a DJ does come around once a weekend.“
“Awesome restaurant on JBPHH if you're looking for quick and easy food & service with any crowd! The outside patio area is huge, and we often see tons of kiddos playing around, which is nice to see. We have only come here for DJ Bingo on Saturday evenings so far, so we've not had much of the food yet, but not a bad beer selection on tap!The staff are really friendly and efficient as well, lovely ladies at the counter!“
“We went here for my spouse's birthday dinner. Upon walking in, one hostess was exceptional with a birthday greeting, and we were excited. The live music was amazing, and we had a great table right by it. Cocktails were spectacular and I loved the drink menu... bar staff was was excellent. My spouse got the Chinese-style mahi mahi, and it had incredible flavor! I ordered the rib eye; while cooked well, it was mostly fat unfortunately and I enjoyed the mahi mahi much more. Service was pretty good although I would've appreciated the server just acknowledging my spouse's birthday.“
“Order = 1 iced Lavender Latte 12 oz + 1 hot Lavender latte 16 oz.So tasty we lacked the time for a photo.Feeling satisfied and energized. Music selection was on point for the vibes.Staff were kind and pleasant to interact with.Loved that are open at 630am.“
“I don’t give out 5 stars often but the Hideout gets full points. Great atmospheres, fantastic service and obviously tasty food. Prices are about average for the area. We ate here in the morning for brunch and in the evening for dinner. Both times did not disappoint. The live music is always a great touch. Typically busy and reserving a table ahead of time is recommended. Will be back when we return.“
“It’s nearly impossible that the drinks and the service are both 5 stars. However, if I could give this place and the owner 6 stars I would. My crew and I highly recommend the mango or strawberry flows. Beach front, free sunscreen and aloe, superb drinks, and the friendliest face on the island, what more could you want. This is a MUST!!!!!“
“Really great experience the first time we came so we had to had to come back again for drinks and food. Somehow the second time was even better largely due to the gracious and hospitable bartender Eddie who made us feel very welcomed. Definitely will be coming back next time we’re in Hawaii! Highly highly recommended!“
“Was here last year and found it disappointing.BUT. TRIED AGAIN TODAY AND WOW!!;food was amazing from ribs to parmesan bread to shrimp ravioli yummmmIf I had to pick anything souflee took to long even though I ordered at the startm but it is worth the wait ..l“
“Amazing time and the Fried Chicken and Champs was everything. Service was excellent. Best honeymoon celebration yet. The piano player was outstanding and kept a good vibe all evening. Hats off to the bartender for amazing craft cocktails. Great evening.“
“It's a cool place for a drink, typical dive bar see some music. It's not too loud so you can talk to people which is nice. The place is decorated with nostalgia from the '80s '90s and some very eclectic decorations.. I got a Mai Tai, it was decent $9 had some conversation with a local at the bar. I would definitely go back here. They did have a food truck out front not sure what it was but it looked pretty good.“
“We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. You pay at the counter, take a number, then they bring your food to your table. We tried the fish tacos, French dip and clam chowder (soup of the day). Everything was tasty, just a bit on the salty side even for me (I love salt). I would definitely get the French dip again (it had a delicious garlic flavor). The clam chowder was also very fresh, and lighter (less creamy) than most chowders.“
“Amazing Poke! We got the tako poke bowl and the spicy ahi poke bowl and it was hands down the best poke I’ve ever had! The garlic rice/dirty rice is phenomenal!!!!! The bagoong fried rice is also incredible! Topped it all off with an Ube cheesecake. Everything was delicious. I’m only in Hawaii for a few weeks but I will be back! The staff was super nice and friendly too! Great service! They even offer a military discount.“
“A fun, hipster bar - especially perfect for audiophiles. Ambiance: This bar is definitely a "chill" spot. The lighting, interior, and song choices were all a 10/10. Drinks: My friends commented that the drinks were creative, delicious, and worth the wait. I would expect to spend around $30-50 per person if you were to order a few drinks and snacks. Parking: Since this spot is located in Chinatown/Downtown, parking is a little tricky. If street parking is not an option, the municipal lot is nearby with parking being a a few dollars. There is also a lot next to the restaurant, but parking prices I believe, are just under $10.“
“It's a restaurant and bar located in Ala Moana Center. It's a little difficult to find as it takes a special elevator from the second floor, but there is a parking lot and easy access. It's open in the evening, so it's not crowded in the early hours, but it's so popular that it's nearly full for dinner after 6pm. All of the meals are delicious, but I especially recommend the dessert sundae and hot chocolate cake. The service is attentive, and no matter how many times I return, I am always satisfied. This restaurant is located in Ala Moana, but reservations are required, and you must be careful as Japanese is not spoken at all.“
“Went to try their Easter special lamb chops and was not disappointed! Absolutely knocked it out of park! Perhaps best lamb chops I have ever had. Sauce was rich and amazing, chops tender and cooked to perfection. Hopefully they will have more often than Easter! Service was wonderful as well. We sat outside but could still enjoy the live music.Parking: Parking was free with validationHyatt Centric garage“
“Wait time was 5-10minutes, we were there during happy hour and got 1/2 price appetizers which were all delicious; sliders, chicken lettuce wraps, nachos, and BBQ wings. Food came out fast. The BLT didn't disappoint. Our waitress Josie was great.“
“A little hard to get a drink but when you do, boy do they deliver! Just be aware a "big one" is certainly that. Staff was friendly and fast once you get up to the bar. Locals were very welcoming as well, seating was limited and they didn't hesitate to invite me to their table when they saw me wandering around. Happy I was pointed in their direction by the bartender at Wakiki brewing when they closed up for the night.“
“This restaurant was one of the highlights of my trip to Honolulu! The ramen (both tonkotsu and tan-tan) has a rich, flavorful broth with excellent noodles and toppings. The service and atmosphere are also very nice and the price is totally fair. 100% recommend!“
“Having family come in from the mainland, we living 5 minutes away. . decided to take them for breakfast!Loco Moco was the bomb! Service was excellent.. didn't wait long and food was great ?Main breakfast ..2 eggs..2 bacon..3 Portuguese sausages..2 scoops rice & coffee for $15“
“Pretty decent food the evening we went! Great friendly service with live music. The restaurant had no windows so it could be a little dim. I feel like it could use a bit more decor to make add more warmth to it. My favorite items there were the mud pie and surf and turf. The filet mignon was very tender and juicy and the lobster was delectable. We also tried their escargot, foie gras, duck breast. The escargot could use a bit more herbs, the foie gras was mostly fat and not much liver, not very good quality, and the duck breast was cooked almost like in Cantonese style? Too much hoisin sauce for me. Overall nice evening to celebrate my birthday in a small, local restaurant.“
“We visited around 4pm and it was very quiet, the servers were very attentive and helpful, I never ran out of water. The fried chicken was incredible, and it seemed to be the size of a whole chicken. We also enjoyed the garlic Parmesan fries and salad. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the prices were reasonable (large dishes!)“
“Lovely restaurant. Located right in the fisherman's warf. Sat on the patio during the evening. What a lovely experience.Staff were excellent from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. The swordfish was cooked perfectly. I loved the taste open flame char. Great portion, too.The fish and chips were so good that we didn't need any condiments. Also, great portion. If you are in Honolulu, this is a must-eat spot.Parking: We parallel parked along the side street beside the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Great with kids.High chairs and booster seats available.Compostable cups w/ straw to drink out of.“
“We got a reservation here. It's inside the outrigger. They have a nice courtyard area which gets pretty busy. I had a Mai Tai and the Hulu Chicken. It wasn't the best huli chicken that I have had for sure. Not a bad place though.“
“This small local bar offers fantastic drink options and boasts a stellar staff. Whether you're in the mood for a classic or something unique, they've got you covered. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly service make it a top-notch spot for a night out.“
“Want some live music and a chill place to eat and drink? The atmosphere was so Aloha, very relaxing. Our bartender Matt was so polite and really helped to bring the whole experience together. Glad I stopped by ? Will definitely be coming back!“
“The employees were very friendly. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. I want to come back and try something else next time. Please note that the menu contents may change, so we recommend that you come in person or inquire by phone first to see if there is a review dish you would like to try.“
“The best fish and chips I've ever had! My women's softball team stayed in the cabins and ate here for dinner. They accommodated our huge party in such a short notice. We had a few young waiters that hustled to take our order and bring our food out in a timely manner. Unfortunately, one of our teammates did not receive her food. The Manager was called over to our table, and he was very quick to make things right. We loved the customer service, and apologize for some people in our party was not happy. Majority of us, loved it and was entertained with LIVE music by a great local band. Great job, we'll be back!“
“Went here for lunch the other day with the work buddy. It's been a while since I ate here, so wanted to check if it still had the ono grinds. I didn't eat breakfast, so I decided to the BEAST BOWL. Wish we could've got some midday libations but we were still working. It wasn't that crowded when we were seated but by the time we left it was getting full. Got my BEAST BOWL, oh my words it had the meats, the umami, the meats, the noodles, the meats, the gooey egg, did I mention the MEATS. According to work buddy, I could've just said some of the meat and had it later with rice as snack or something, but why would I do that, you needs to eat all of the MEATS. I mean buggah was very filling and I am bulking for the summer. Hah. Anyways, the brisket and short ribs were soooo tender. The oxtail won ton, wrapped meaty goodness. I shouldn't have eaten it all, but I had to. Broth was nice and rich. KANAK ATTACK. It's a good thing we walked from the office, so the opu had chance for digest all the MEAT. I forgot the name of what work buddy got, but she liked and had some self control and saved some of her dish for snack time later. All in all, they still have the good eats. Staff was friendly and attentive. Place was chill and good vibes.“
“One of my favorite bars in downtown Honolulu/Chinatown. Great selection of beers and spirits, delicious pizzas, cool bartenders, and just a great vibe. Locals and business folks love this place. Pizzas served from Wednesdays. Come down and grab a pint with a friend. ??????“
“This place feels like being at a party. Great food and hospitality! They made me and my wife feel so special. Try the shrimp bruschetta and the Hawaiian bacon with corn salsa. And have a Sous Vide Old Fasioned. If you're staying at the Ala Moana Hotel, it is a must visit.“
“The Hale Koa Barefoot Beach Bar boasts an excellent array of drinks at reasonable prices, complemented by outstandingly awesome service. It's my go-to spot for unwinding, engaging in conversation with the friendly bartenders and fellow patrons, and soaking in the delightful ambiance. Situated conveniently close to the beach, it offers the perfect opportunity to take a leisurely stroll along the calm waters after enjoying a few drinks.“
“You know when you're looking a place that has delicious food (including breakfast now), amazing service, karaoke, dart boards, endless drinks, up to date sports games and a beautiful display, this is where you go. Period. Can't wait to visit again. Ask for Brit, Kailani or Tasha!“
“Really enjoyed our meal here. Very nice dinner, with tasty options. Enjoyed the BBQ chicken and the carbonara pasta. We were ready to call it a night until we saw a Hula Pie exiting the kitchen and knew we had to order one. It was worth it.Also, come during daylight so you can catch the great views of the ocean!“
“Love the atmosphere and the staff are so great. Its our local watering hole. Go for the Hibiscus margarita, kitchen sink fried rice and salt and vinegar chicken skins. My only critique is I wish they had more options on items like the salad (can only get salmon, no other protein option) and the burger appears to be a premade patty instead of the amazing burgers that are in the meat case. But great idea to have it in a grocery store where purchasing power and usage or ingredients can be maximized. Plus the Foodland Farms in Pearl City is impeccable.Parking: Lots of parking available“
“The wife and I love Little Joes. The food is amazing. Last night, we had bruccehta as an appetizer, lamb chops, tenderloin, bacon Mac and cheese, and spinach. Everything was so delicious. Our server was great he kept checking in on us and made the night enjoyable with his conversation. The parking situation is a problem for me because there is limited parking. Then this location blocks off parking for valet parking. That seemed a little missed up to me. I think we will try the Pearl Ridge location next time because they have more parking minus the needless valet parking.“
“I'm so glad that we found We Are the Bartenders for our wedding. From the start Krystle has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with. Her communication was on point and their prices are amazing. The service they gave during our wedding was the best! They were also an absolute joy to party with while they were bartending. Her team was amazing at our wedding keeping the drinks flowing and always made sure that my wife and I were never empty handed! Being the bride and groom we were all over the place and they always were able to find us and make sure if we needed another drink. My guests enjoyed their presences and the signature drink they made for us was absolutely amazing. They did a great job keeping everything clean for us and packing up the extra drinks at the end of our event. We were so glad that we chose them for our wedding. And so glad that our guest wiped us out! 10 out of 5 would recommend them at your next event! Can't wait to work with you guys again in the future.“
“We accidentally found this place on our 4th day on Oahu. What luck!!! This has been HANDS DOWN the BEST food, service, and atmosphere we have encountered. We tried Dukes on the strip in Waikiki and were not impressed. Then we came here the next night. The attentiveness of the staff, making sure we had what we needed, that we enjoyed the food, and even going as far as to check to see if we wanted to order any additional drinks before happy hour ended, was extraordinary. Mahalo! We will def be coming here anytime we visit Oahu.“
“came here at 8pm after hitting the gym, thank goodness they take apple pay lol. we were seated immediately but it took a long time to get our order in, we had to flag someone down. the food came out very fast though. 5 stars for the dark dragon roll, 5 stars for the furikake chicken, and 3 stars for the spicy tuna with crunch roll. the dark dragon was perfectly spicy with a good portion of salmon on top. the furikake chicken was hot and crispy, super tender and moist but I do wish it came with a lemon wedge on the side. the spicy tuna roll with crunch DOES NOT COME WITH ANYTHING CRUNCHY. it's a VERY misleading name and really disappointing when they bring it out and it just looks like a plain spicy tuna roll, which is all it is. overall it's a good spot to go to, we enjoyed what we ate and I'm glad it's open late.“
“Very nice view of the hotel and sea. History atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: Is possible. However, the choice of tables is limited because there are small steps to navigate. Otherwise highly recommended. We had burgers with excellent fries.“
“HANK'S RULES! You gotta be cool though, or else it might be too much for you. 2 people got kicked out, I got 2 rounds of free drinks, and there's a fabulous man named Jeremy who is a national treasure and should be protected at all costs. Wess(?) The bartender is awesome.I've never wanted to move to Honolulu more.“
“One of the absolute best tonkatsu spots I've ever been. We went for lunch at noon on a Sunday and only had to wait around 30min for a table. I ordered the ebi and pork filet combo and it came out really quickly. The ebi was super flavorful, and the pork was supremely tender. Both were fried perfectly golden brown. The katsu sauce is a little on the sweet side, but definitely good. I loved the garlic miso dressing so much I bought a bottle to take home. I will absolutely be coming here again!“
“Agave & Vine is a must visit local sports bar with amazing staff. Location at Macy's side food court, The food court has a wide range of food and the best cocktails or beer provided by Agave & Vine in the inside food court or at the bar.“
“We had a really nice, relaxing dinner here. It was a Wednesday and not crowded at all. The selection of really fun, unique cocktails was good and the small plates were very good (we had the chips/popcorn), asparagus and the salmon. It was a fun, quirky place. Our server was exceptional as well.“
“This hidden gem is great! I've been here a few times late at night and it's always packed. The one time I did come early, literally right when they opened, it was nice to grab a room with friends. The food is bar food but very affordable yet tasty. The workers are very attentive and make sure to monitor when you need something. As more of my friends trickled in, we moved to the main room to sing karaoke. The ambiance was nice and comforting. Everyone took turns singing and the shared atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend.“
“I went for the first time tonight and I will say this is one of my new favorite spots! My group ordered 2 flavors of soju cocktail lilikoi (passion fruit) and yogurt, both flavors were very tasty and are large enough to share. Also ordered some honey garlic wings, kimchi fried rice, and spicy mochi, tasty as well. I will suggest ubering here because you will have such a good time! I enjoyed the music inside with modern kpop and hip pop and even more so the private karaoke room. Me and my friends sang so many songs we ran out of our cash. To add to the good times, this place stays open late. Enjoy if you visit this place!“
“I love this place. I typically drink alot of craft cocktails and mixed drinks. They are expensive. However, I order some of my favorite basics and it rocks. I love the vibe and always looking forward to visiting with my husband on his work trips. This is a solid place, high maintenance people should go to their hotel bar and pay 15 dollars for their martinis.“
“This is the place to go to for Chinese food. Probably the best fried rice I’ve ever tasted. Super fresh and very tasteful. Also ordered the plum button meat and the roasted duck. Super good food. 10/10 would recommend. Best Chinese food I’ve ever had.“
“The Puka is your "Cheers" bar. It's an establishment where you feel as though you're family. The service is great and be prepared to introduce yourself, they genuinely care. Once introduced, you become a "Puka Bum" and the stories will pour in! Highly recommended!“
