FINALLY stopped in this charming Cafe after seeing it on Instagram for the past year :))) Happy, happy, joy, joy!! I was able to get half a loaf of Japan white bread (so soft, so delicious), and one of each on the second shelf: the cheesecakes, the 10? layer chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake, and an Americano - and then stopped... I always go crazy in Japan bakeries! I love how the Japan cheesecakes and cakes are sweetened just right - not over-sweetened like the American desserts....read full review
Cafe DeLight is one of Kaimuki's hidden gems on the lower level of the Kaimuki Shopping Center. It's a good thing their hours are so limited (tues-fri 7AM-when they're sold out, usually around noon), otherwise I wouldn't fit into my clothes, working only a block away. They have a variety of mini cake rolls , and a regular sized one for the strawberry one. OK, so I finally got to try the Lomo Saltado. First off, this seems like a hobby business because it closes at noon. They seem to cater to Japanese nationals who have relocated to Hawaii. All the pastry items are reefered, and appeal to those types that like how stuff looks, rather than only how it tastes. Maybe it tastes good but I didn't try any pastry.
