While visiting Hawaiʻi, I found myself coming back here every day for lunch—and for good reason. The steak plate with rice and kimchee was absolutely incredible. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. The rice was fresh and paired perfectly with the savory steak, while the kimchee added just the right amount of kick and balance to the meal. Great prices too.
I have been a fan of this steak place since it was still $9.99 in Waikiki next to Food Pantry. It’s been, what, 15 years now, and I still eat here. The Ala Moana location is nice, inside Foodland. I can get my poke at Foodland and then come here to eat my steak plate. Just as good as I remember from 15 years ago. The teriyaki sauce here is phenomenal—it’s my favorite teriyaki sauce of all time. The horseradish sauce is also really good. I didn’t really care for the barbecue...read full review
Pretty slow service, unclear instructions, and a warm beer. Steak was decent, but everything else was average at best.
