This place has the best quality poke I’ve had! Spicy King Salmon, Spicy ahi with Uni! 🥢🥢🥢
We go here for all our poke and sashimi platters, we get spicy ahi, Hawaiian salt tako, and tobikko King Salmon. In love.
They have two locations, one with indoor dining! Perfect for families as well.

Morning Catch is a popular restaurant located within a market, known for its fresh and delicious poke, with options such as spicy king salmon and ahi. The fish is flown from Japan and has a remarkably fresh and soft taste that melts in the mouth. Customers praise the well-seasoned sushi rice, especially the short grain rice, and the friendly, family-like atmosphere created by the staff and owner. The portions are generous, and the fish is very flavorful and fresh, making it a favorite for poke lovers. Many visitors mention how the fish comes out so fresh and the different styles are made fresh too. The restaurant offers other dishes like char siu and roast pork from nearby vendors, with toppings such as crab salad and seaweed salad at an extra cost. The staff, including the chef, work quickly and efficiently, even during busy times, and the service is great, with some customers able to pre-order by text. Customers also appreciate the quick turnaround and the ability to add extras to poke bowls, which are described as very yummy. While seating is limited—only two small tables—the restaurant is highly recommended for takeout or quick meals. Parking nearby is affordable but can be challenging to find. Many say this place is a hidden gem, offering excellent value and quality that surpasses what can be found in Waikiki. It’s especially praised by those exploring Chinatown, who find the fish so fresh it simply melts in the mouth.
