“Kalapawai is a go-to restaurant for my friends and I. In this particular visit my friend had an adverse reaction to a medication and we needed to leave abruptly. Allison our server was totally on top of her game, got our main courses boxed and handed to us in less than a minute. The food was excellent, the service was superb.“

“I met the family that ran this business in a festival and I absolutely love their food and what they’re striving. They use organic ingredients and are striving health conscious choices. “Ordered Teh C...and Kopi and Kaya toast. the teh c taste like some regulat tea bag with just some.hot water poured into it. does not even taste like any teh from the singapore kopitiam. the kopi too.. the girl with the nose ring also forgot about out Kaya toast until I went to ask about it after 15 mins later. One of the girls did gave us a free croissant for that. I don't know why the girl keep saying teh Tarik when I ordered Teh C, had to confirm again and again.kaya toast tasted correct though.“

“My husband and I went in on a whim. I didn't expect this little cafe to be the highlight of our week, but here we are! My favorite part, besides getting to pet several kittens at once of course, was the staff. We booked a 30 minute slot to start, and it quickly went by! The room volunteer was so helpful and kind. Every kitty we pet she told us all about their personality, habits, and history if available. You can truly tell they love the cats deeply and wish them the best. it's also so nice that they are so helpful when choosing a kitty that's right for you. personality is so important! Also, the drinks were fantastic! I got a mango matcha tea and was so happy with it. Perfectly sweet! Thank you again for giving us such a fun experience! You'll see us again for sure :)“

“A cafe I visited after visiting Diamond Head on the weekend
I tried to go to KCC Market, but there were so many people that I couldn't find anything to eat, so I came as an alternative and it was a really good choice.
Ordered the breakfast plate and pineapple juice, which are sold until 10 o'clock.
The plate tasted okay, but the pineapple juice was delicious.
It was so nice to sit and eat in a cool place after trekking.
The Japanese owner is also friendly.
It was near Waikiki, so I probably went there often to drink juice.“

“Wonderful and friendly. The waffles are some of the best I’ve ever had. The Kailua Pork Quesadilla was amazing as well. Manu was so friendly and after a nice conversation he gave a little speech and blew the conch as a blessing for our recent marriage.“

“Although it's a bit away from central Waikiki, its good location at the foot of Diamond Head means it's a popular destination for Japanese tourists. Although named a café, besides drinks, there are also popular Hawaiian dishes such as fried rice, acai bowls, and Locomoco. The serve is the Hawaiian standard (i.e. a lot for Japanese) and doesn't feel expensive. I think it's a small, clean, easy-to-use shop with no gaps. Depending on the day and time of the week, some staff are fluent in Japanese and are also recommended for families. There are only a few terrace seats, so you may want to take off peak hours if you are after them.“

“Food was amazing I was looking for a bite more fresh and trying to stay somewhat true to a healthy menu while on my trip, it was delivered with full flavor and reasonably priced for the servings they provide. “Conveniently located right by our Prince Waikiki hotel. We stopped for dessert after walking the Waikiki strip. My girls wanted the Dole Whip even though we were going to the Dole Plantation the next day. It will never be as good as the Dole Plantation but they enjoyed it. I got my Hawaiian shaved ice. Again nothing will compare to my favorite Ululani shaved ice but this was delicious as well. It came with a fresh fruit topping as well as popping bubble topping which I loved.“

“Great Food with a European influence of France and Spain. Cozy atmosphere and the Chef ZZ is very talented with many years of experience. It’s a little hidden gem and has elevator parking for your car in the back of the building or you can park in the Walmart lot. I very much recommend this place.“

“I love Insomnia! The Aunty and Uncle who run this place are very caring and attentive and make you feel at home. The prices are so cheap compared to everywhere else which doesn’t make sense cause the food is sooo good and they are in SALT! Please Hawaii government and god please protect this business and these people!

Recommendations: My wife always gets the lemongrass chicken with cold noodles which is super good and I love the Vietnamese french sandwich pork or chicken. They have a super strong Vietnamese coffee that’ll get you going too.“

“Of you like a casual setting, this is ideal. Nice and quiet by today's restaurant standards. It's a BYOB place, which I love. The staff is super friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about the food. The food is superb. My favorite is the hen. We brought a vegetarian friend one night and because they make everything to order they are extremely accommodating. They'll serve any dish as you like it. Try to save room for dessert - their pastries are crazy good. Really wonderful experience!“

Ceiling fans keep you cool. The servers are truly wonderful people and made our experience unforgettable. We enjoyed local beer, vegetarian sandwiches, and soup. “Reliably good, reasonably priced (cold and hot) sandwiches, soups, and salads including leafy greens and pasta salads. Friendly and efficient service, too. The combos are a nice deal - I like getting a soup + salad or soup + sandwich. They also cater my office's meetings quite often; they can cater both breakfast (pastries and breakfast sandwiches, plus coffee) and lunch (mostly sandwiches for us). Some of my coworkers have said some of their catered sandwiches a bit boring after a while, so you may consider specifically requesting the types of sandwiches you prefer.“

“I have visited the Haleiwa location multiple times and it just hits the spot for unique gelato flavors! I also highly recommend any of the crepes ... and of course, the Ube Mochi waffle!!!
