“All the juices are so fresh and delicious! You can customize your drink with no sugar, which I love. And their bobba is very good and not too sweet. They have all the fruit juices, like chico, sour sop, dragonfruit, so many to choose from, I can’t wait to go back, yum!“

Love the diversity of food ranging from gluten free food, local food to asian, middle eastern, greek... and it tastes Yummy! You would think WCC has a culinary program. Uala Leaf Cafe beats KCC's cafe hands down! Occasionally some of their dishes could use some work. ;-)“

We had a matcha soft serve on a cone this visit.
Ube and peach were the seasonal flavors available, though almost everyone ordered matcha.

Original, 2023:
Amazingly creamy, lightly bitter matcha soft serve!
We ordered a matcha shave ice with matcha soft serve to share between 2 adults.
Plenty of dessert to go around.

Ice was a tad chunky and crunchy, not super fine.
3 mochi balls and 1 chestnut
A scoop of sweetened red beans
The soft serve was swirled and more matcha powder was sprinkled on top

This matcha shave ice is winning against my previous favorite at Uncle Clay's HOPA.

First week of March 2023: special flavors are Ube and
Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), which can be swirled together.
I would like to try the Ube next time. Sakura sounds pretty good, but Matcha will likely be the favored choice each time.

Staff were extremely polite and pleasant.
Shop doesn't accept cash, you must use a credit card or your phone (payment via Square).

“My husband and I went in on a whim. I didn't expect this little cafe to be the highlight of our week, but here we are! My favorite part, besides getting to pet several kittens at once of course, was the staff. We booked a 30 minute slot to start, and it quickly went by! The room volunteer was so helpful and kind. Every kitty we pet she told us all about their personality, habits, and history if available. You can truly tell they love the cats deeply and wish them the best. it's also so nice that they are so helpful when choosing a kitty that's right for you. personality is so important! Also, the drinks were fantastic! I got a mango matcha tea and was so happy with it. Perfectly sweet! Thank you again for giving us such a fun experience! You'll see us again for sure :)“

“A cafe I visited after visiting Diamond Head on the weekend
I tried to go to KCC Market, but there were so many people that I couldn't find anything to eat, so I came as an alternative and it was a really good choice.
Ordered the breakfast plate and pineapple juice, which are sold until 10 o'clock.
The plate tasted okay, but the pineapple juice was delicious.
It was so nice to sit and eat in a cool place after trekking.
The Japanese owner is also friendly.
It was near Waikiki, so I probably went there often to drink juice.“

“excellent service, I love the homemade salmon milk, makes the outstanding coffee even more delicious. the blueberry muffins have the a cake like texture that is really satisfying. the lilikoi bars were super delicious, very tart, true to real lilikoi flavor and a very dense and buttery bottom crust. “Food was amazing I was looking for a bite more fresh and trying to stay somewhat true to a healthy menu while on my trip, it was delivered with full flavor and reasonably priced for the servings they provide. “Good conversations nice ambience“

“Conveniently located right by our Prince Waikiki hotel. We stopped for dessert after walking the Waikiki strip. My girls wanted the Dole Whip even though we were going to the Dole Plantation the next day. It will never be as good as the Dole Plantation but they enjoyed it. I got my Hawaiian shaved ice. Again nothing will compare to my favorite Ululani shaved ice but this was delicious as well. It came with a fresh fruit topping as well as popping bubble topping which I loved.“

“We were lucky enough to get one of their limited edition rainbow scones and promised the shop that we would post an insta because it was BEAUTIFUL. But..my son ate it before we got home!!!! 😭

We ordered half a dozen and got a good variety, and EVERY scone was perfect. The flavors came through on every single one and the consistency of the scone was on point. Highly recommend. Having a scone in hand definitely made my Costco trip more enjoyable :).“

“Their onion soup is the only one I'll eat! Their appetizers, sides and main dishes are great! I had one the rigatoni bolognese and my friend had their portabello mushroom sandwich which she really enjoyed too! Don't forget the desserts! “Great Food with a European influence of France and Spain. Cozy atmosphere and the Chef ZZ is very talented with many years of experience. It’s a little hidden gem and has elevator parking for your car in the back of the building or you can park in the Walmart lot. I very much recommend this place.“

“Of you like a casual setting, this is ideal. Nice and quiet by today's restaurant standards. It's a BYOB place, which I love. The staff is super friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about the food. The food is superb. My favorite is the hen. We brought a vegetarian friend one night and because they make everything to order they are extremely accommodating. They'll serve any dish as you like it. Try to save room for dessert - their pastries are crazy good. Really wonderful experience!“

“I love Insomnia! The Aunty and Uncle who run this place are very caring and attentive and make you feel at home. The prices are so cheap compared to everywhere else which doesn’t make sense cause the food is sooo good and they are in SALT! Please Hawaii government and god please protect this business and these people!

Recommendations: My wife always gets the lemongrass chicken with cold noodles which is super good and I love the Vietnamese french sandwich pork or chicken. They have a super strong Vietnamese coffee that’ll get you going too.“

“Reliably good, reasonably priced (cold and hot) sandwiches, soups, and salads including leafy greens and pasta salads. Friendly and efficient service, too. The combos are a nice deal - I like getting a soup + salad or soup + sandwich. They also cater my office's meetings quite often; they can cater both breakfast (pastries and breakfast sandwiches, plus coffee) and lunch (mostly sandwiches for us). Some of my coworkers have said some of their catered sandwiches a bit boring after a while, so you may consider specifically requesting the types of sandwiches you prefer.“

“I am visiting from los angeles and order Thai Tea at every boba shop I go to around LA and so far in my time on O'ahu ( which has been daily at different cafes) This was the BEST Thai tea I have had in a while and the mango pineapple smoothie was also delicious. The woman working was very kind, and speedy for being the only one behind counter taking a few orders at once. I recommended Tea Cafe 100% MAHALO 💝“

“Dropped by NOLA on Saturday morning for a beignet flight. The service was quick and friendly, though they were out of vanilla and offered pumpkin instead. The beignets are made fresh to order, so there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. The space is big and clean, but the music was a bit loud for 7 AM—maybe not the best spot to relax with a coffee. That said, the beignets were delicious with a great texture, and the filling was generous without being overly sweet. Highly recommend!“
