“Best shaved ice on the island, by far. So glad we discovered this place. We've tried plenty of others across multiple trips to Oahu and nothing else compares. The owners are lovely people and it was nice talking with them, but the food is where it's at.“

“We stopped here to grab a quick lunch and were amazed at how good the food was. The owner was such a sweetheart and you can tell she loves her job. Everything is made to order so it was piping hot when you get it. I got the coconut shrimp and it was AMAZING. Will 100% make a return trip when visiting.“

“Veggie Dogs, right outside the Running Room in Kapahulu, is a gem that's got the spirit of a New York hotdog stand with a twist that'll turn any skeptic into a believer. We're talking all-vegan hot dogs that don't skimp on flavor. The sesame seed buns? Soft, fresh, and the perfect vessel for those impeccably seasoned, plant-based dogs. The toppings bring it all home, making each bite a vibrant New York experience, minus the meat. Whether you're cooling down after a run or just in the area, skipping Veggie Dogs is like missing out on Central Park in the fall. For a New Yorker looking for a plant-based homage to the classic street dog, this spot is a slam dunk.Vegetarian options: All vegan!“
“Looking forward to coming back ! Their handmade rolls are very unique and pack a flavorful punch. It was a first time experience biting into an eggroll that had a range from avocado to shrimp to burger meat. When I went there, the different types of flavors presented were: the traditional vietnamese roll, a crab rangoon roll, in & out roll, taco roll, shrimp roll, bacon & egg roll, and avocado roll. It was super hard to choose just a couple to try out, so instead I just got the sampler which is where you get each roll.My personal favorite would have to be either the avocado or taco roll. When eating the avocado roll, it tasted very fresh and vibrant. In the avocado roll there’s onion, tomato, and cilantro. All combined makes an amazing roll to enjoy with all friends and family. What I’m most shocked about is that the rolls are never soggy and are not burnt. The workers at the local farmers market were a pleasure to meet. When waiting you could jam out to their music which is what I did. Definitely should ask how they choose the name for the taco roll, it’s a silly and cute story. 10/10 would go again to grab some of their amazing rolls and vibe with music“

“Took one bite and KNEW I’ll be back the next time I’m in the area. The sweet potato mochi is delightful, crispy and chewy at the same time. I regret only buying 3 (one for each of us). Bought two andagi (Japanese donuts), they’re pretty much like an old-fashioned. Also bought a shrimp tempura roll bento, which comes with sweet potato tempura and fried chicken. Sweet little spot, can’t go wrong with anything you pick!Vegetarian options: Veggie bento option!“

“This is the best ice cream that I have tried in Hawaii and in general over the last few years, the guy who makes it turned out to be the owner of this food truck, his hands truly work wonders - it’s very exciting to watch how he makes ice cream, thank you very much.I highly recommend strawberries and Oreos to everyone ??????“

“A part of me wants to put 1 star so people don't take all the good stuff early in the day!! (JK I wouldn't do that). The food here is amazing. I could literally eat here every single day for lunch if possible. I have tried numerous dishes and they are all amazing. The question is what do you like to eat? Absolutely phenomenal! Vic is amazing and she always fixes the best plates <3 Amazing chef.“

“The main reason why I even visit the farmer's market is because of Izu's Mochi. The best time to visit is first thing in the morning to ensure best parking and best selection. Also be sure to not park in other businesses' parking lots to avoid an unplanned tow to the yard. Izu's Mochi is always such a perfect gift to give and receive. When you support this business, you know you won't be disappointed from the service and aesthetic presentation.“

“I wonder why they serve human food but have the name “fish food”? hm, the world may never know. anywho, i had the spicy ahi bowl (?) that came with rice, some fish, and 2 pieces of gyoza with sauce. the fish was good and had the spiciness of a 3.5 on the caucasian scale of spicy; has a little kick but won’t make you cry out for jésus or anything. the convenience of having poke on base was amazing but the portion size was not! $15 or so for a small bento sized meal is a little pricey as poke bowls at foodland are about $5 cheaper and they give you more fish and rice as well. For the size of fish food hawaiis spicy ahi, i have attached a pic to show the size with an ice breakers ice cube gum for a scale (didn’t have banana for scale)“
“Nice zoo! Just the right size, not too big and not too small. It is filled with a lot of interesting animals. The enclosures are big enough for the animals to move around and resemble their habitat in the wild. It took us 3 hours to explore this zoo and we enjoyed every minute of it! I recommend this zoo for couples, families and friends traveling to Hawaii.“
