“Waianae may have a limited number of really good food options—like BBQ Kai, Saito & Pho, and the Thai food truck in Mākaha—but Waianae Korean BBQ is one of those hidden gems ?. “My husband first had their chicken sandwich (aka “Mom’s Chicken Sandwich”) a while ago and kept raving about it. He always orders it when he passes thru Pearlridge. I finally took a bite tonight and all I can say is “WOW!” I ended up eating his other half! It truly is the BEST chicken sandwich we’ve ever had. And yes, we’ve tasted chicken sandwiches in other states. The chicken is crispy (not oily), the veggies & bread is fresh, and the sauce is chef’s kiss! “You can also eat in the store, but they give you food in disposable containers. After ordering, it was so large that I had no choice but to go, so it was convenient for customers. I ordered one serving of the special set and kimchi pancake, and 2 adults and a 3-year-old child ate it together. I packed the leftover rice and side dishes well and was able to eat until breakfast. When you order a dish, you can choose four side dishes, including kimchi, seasoned seaweed, stewed potatoes, japchae, seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned cabbage, etc. All four we chose were delicious and both the ribs and kimchi pancakes were excellent restaurants. It's a bit small in terms of space when you're trying to seat people and let alone, walk around... or even get up from the seat with the limited space you have to move around. Now, the reviews may be right about the meatjun. It’s not the best, meat was kinda tough but flavor wise was ok, I’m all about having a good sauce to cover that so i ordered extra meat Jun sauce.Kalbi was freakin good. Way better than pearls because the marinate and smoky taste from the grill comes thru. It’s also not overly sauced up like some places, it just tastes like homemade kalbi cooked on a grill. You don’t need to get the meat Jun, but you gotta get the kalbi.4 sides: 2x mayo potato (always good lil sweet) noodles, and seaweed. “I lived in Korea for six years. It’s hard to find that perfect beef and leaf joint you remember from your Sam gyup sal days in Korea, but this place can do it.#1. The staff is great. I enjoy seeing them every time I go.#2. They have the soju, the Korean beer, the makgeolli.#3 The BBQ is on point, the sides are delicious and the kimchi is always great.If someone doesn’t like this place, then they don’t like real Korean food. Service was great at the register and quick in the food prep. The food was 'ono too! Perfect portion sizes, enough to share! Would recommend a combination plate of BBQ chicken and meat jun if you're here.

Seating was readily available as well as parking out front.

“Great quality when it comes to the meat. A lot of variety to pick from and it is reasonably priced. They offer a bunch of different sides with the meal as well. Although there are better restaurants as far as aesthetics goes, I really like this one. This is the only Korean BBQ place I eat at. Fast service and the servers come to your table as soon as they notice you have started cooking all the meat they brought. Highly recommended!

“A beautiful restaurant in Ewa Beach. I had the the Korean fried chicken plate. It comes with Rice and Mac salad. Good portions of all three. Tasty sauce and great presentation. A hidden jewel in Ewa Beach. Beautiful views of the ocean and golf course. Fast and friendly service. A good variety of food offerings. Go check it out.
