“We just flew in and our first stop was Pearl's Korean BBQ. The best and one of the reason we fly to Honolluu a couple times a year from Virginia. “You can also eat in the store, but they give you food in disposable containers. After ordering, it was so large that I had no choice but to go, so it was convenient for customers. I ordered one serving of the special set and kimchi pancake, and 2 adults and a 3-year-old child ate it together. I packed the leftover rice and side dishes well and was able to eat until breakfast. When you order a dish, you can choose four side dishes, including kimchi, seasoned seaweed, stewed potatoes, japchae, seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned cabbage, etc. All four we chose were delicious and both the ribs and kimchi pancakes were excellent restaurants. It was the most cost-effective and satisfying meal during my trip to Hawaii?“

“Waianae may have a limited number of really good food options—like BBQ Kai, Saito & Pho, and the Thai food truck in Mākaha—but Waianae Korean BBQ is one of those hidden gems ?. Shhh, don’t tell anyone; I don’t want the line to get longer! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere has a laid-back vibe. I usually order the meat jun without rice, which lets me choose 6 sides instead of just 4. Highly recommend!“

“I had the garlic shrimp and kalbi plate. It was super delicious and warming. The ladies in the truck were lovely as well, answering my questions, and giving me extra kambi without me asking!

“Tried this korean bbq place for the first time and well. It's a bit small in terms of space when you're trying to seat people and let alone, walk around... or even get up from the seat with the limited space you have to move around. But I'll say that this place is pretty good for a small business, the food tasted good itself. For now, we got the mochiko chicken to start off with because it was a bit more familiar. But we'll be back here to try other foods when we can.“

The food was delicious it came with rice, glass noodles, kimchi, and macaroni salad.

“We came here on a Monday when they happened to be open. First time customers. We ordered Kimchi fried rice, meat jun and chicken katsu combo, and meat jun fried mandoo combo. Everything was very good, good flavors, perfectly cooked. We recommend!“

“Located in the H Mart food court. This is a nice little eatery whether you want some dumplings, kimchi fried rice or a Korean style ramen. I suggest stopping in at lunch time it seems to rarely be crowded. The service was pleasant and helpful. The food was made with care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere, well you're in a grocery store food court, the word ambiance doesn't really apply.

“Elims has been apart of the Ewa beach shopping center for as long as I can remember. mom and pop shop, cardboard everywhere but still nicely intact, food counter is clean cold drinks are laid out nice and the banchan area is always filled. I thought to come here instead of pearls chain restaurant just to support local cuz id be sad to see them fold.I ordered the classic kalbi & meatjun combo. Now, the reviews may be right about the meatjun. It’s not the best, meat was kinda tough but flavor wise was ok, I’m all about having a good sauce to cover that so i ordered extra meat Jun sauce.Kalbi was freakin good. Way better than pearls because the marinate and smoky taste from the grill comes thru. It’s also not overly sauced up like some places, it just tastes like homemade kalbi cooked on a grill. You don’t need to get the meat Jun, but you gotta get the kalbi.4 sides: 2x mayo potato (always good lil sweet) noodles, and seaweed. Service was great at the register and quick in the food prep. The food was 'ono too! Perfect portion sizes, enough to share! Would recommend a combination plate of BBQ chicken and meat jun if you're here.

Seating was readily available as well as parking out front.

“Fantastic #4 BBQ chicken. Lots of food for a good price in Hawaii. This isn't a great sit down place but I was planning to take food to go. I loved they didn't take 30 seconds to get my food. They cooked the chicken fresh on the spot. I waited about 15 minutes which is how long chicken should take to cook. Great spot.“

“Great quality when it comes to the meat. A lot of variety to pick from and it is reasonably priced. They offer a bunch of different sides with the meal as well. Although there are better restaurants as far as aesthetics goes, I really like this one. This is the only Korean BBQ place I eat at. Fast service and the servers come to your table as soon as they notice you have started cooking all the meat they brought. Highly recommended!

“I have not gone to Mr. Cow for a couple of years. I was happy to see that the taste of the corn dog had not changed and was delicious. However I wish that there was an option for a whole hot dog covered with a stick of cheese instead of the 1/2 hotdog and 1/2 cheese option.“
