“Did a quick run into H Mart to grab a couple of things- I was short on time so I wasn’t able to buy all the things I wanted but the next time I come with my husband I will make sure to take pics of all the perishable and refrigerated foods. I like H Mart because it’s easy to navigate and there is a vast variety of frozen foods as well as good produce. Prices are a broad range. Most food stuffs are reasonably priced and the variety of products is pretty good. The rice bowls and some ceramic wear to me was quite pricey ($7.99 for a rice bowl ?) but most of their offerings were priced fair and I enjoyed finding things I cant find in my neighborhood grocery store. Especially frozen goods plus drink and snacks. I grabbed some melon cream crackers, ramune and Pretz for snacks. ? Clean interior and cashier transaction was quick and smooth. All in all an enjoyable shopping experience. Looking for to spending more time leisurely in my next trip ?“
“4 stars for their black bean noodles ! My favorite menu item here. I mever order black bean sauce anything but my son ordered it & when I tasted it, it was love at first taste ! The flavor is so unique, like tomatoey spaghetti sauce except it's black bean. I'm hooked on it now. And the morsels of pork & potato perfectly top it off. Even their daikon is good ! I will definitely return for more. Prices here are decent as well.“
“This gem is located in Pearl City H Mart in the food court. After some shopping with my hubby, we decided that we wanted to try the new food places in H Mart. And let me tell you this place was worth it in my books. When we approached the cashier, he was so helpful in recommending several dishes if we didn't know what to order. He also was so patient in us deciding and always willing to answers our questions about dishes. Once we decided, he took our order and gave us our number to lookout when our food was ready. As for the area, there were many tables available to sit at. I felt it did not take too long for our food to be prepared. Here's our order (my hubby and I shared): Spicy pork- not too spicy (awesome, I can't do too much spice), I loved the addition of the salad and vegetables in the spicy pork mixture. The pork was soft and tender. Cheese Tteokbokki- by far my favorite. The rice cake was soft and bouncy. The spice and cheese paired so nicely it was an addicting bite. I would order this again Although the price might seem a lot, I believe it's still worth it. If you're ever at H Mart Pearl city, check them out!“
“Decided to try this place after reading the reviews. Two of us went on a Saturday around 1pm. We were the only party there, then another table of three arrived.Location: Waipahu. Don't know the name of the mall. This is the location of the former Thai Kitchen between what used to be the Chinese restaurant and the laundromat. Nearby there is Pacific Market.Parking: There is parking in that area. Hey now this is too funny! If you look at other yelp photos of the parking, even from a year ago - you'll see the same gray SUV parked in front of the restaurant license plate number NVD.....I just thought that was hilarious. What to expect: Friendly staff. They accept cash and cards. No liquor so BYOBottle. Any takeout container (for leftovers) costs $1 each. Eat all your food, or bring your own container.Atmosphere: It is a small place, with about 10-12 tables. Friendly staff. I didn't ask about a bathroom so unsure about that.Service: Friendly! Food: Nice menu. There are three banchans. I don't know if the variety changes daily. There was bean sprouts, radish, and kim chee. Would have been nice to have a green one too. We ordered the meat jun and BBQ chicken combo, stone pot bibimbap, seafood pancakes.Verdict: BBQ Chicken was excellent. Meat Jun was tasty but could've had more meat. Way too thin. We have a favorite Meat Jun spot in Aiea which sets the bar. This place did not meet that standard. If you're reading this you know the spot in Aiea.Seafood pancake was very good, though I like when they're served how I normally see it at other places, and not in little round pieces. Stone Pot Bibimbap. Now I was looking forward to this. The rice did not crisp because maybe I turned it too soon?? IDK. Also, there was something missing. Not enough sesame flavor?? Not excellente, missing the umami. We have our favorite Stone Pot bibimbap place in Ewa Beach. This place missed it by a couple marks. Price: We thought the price was comparable to other places. With the tip, our bill was around $60. Will I be returning?? Definitely, to try a few other items on the menu. Though the meat Jun and bibimbap did not meet expectations, this place is not off our list. There aren't many choices for Korean restaurants on the West Side unless you want the take out counter type where you stand in line, choose four veggies, etc.....and those aren't very good.“
“Very unique food and dining experience. I'd best describe O'Kims as elevated Korean-Fusion. Great care and precision goes into the menu, taste, and presentation. Parking is rough. Street parking only. On weekends its pretty easy to find street parking nearby. Weekdays, probably it is difficult. Upon entry, you will given a choice (if available) of indoor or on the outdoor patio. The outdoor patio is nice, but if mosquitos like you, it is not a good idea. There are also chickens and birds that will be looking for food. The menu is unique. They take traditional Korean dishes and add a bit of flair to them. It's really innovative. Presentation is equally impressive. We got the TRUFFLE MANDOO ($10.95 for 5 pieces) which was smaller but the taste was really unique. Never had anything like that before. Next was the Kimbab Jun ($13.95) which was Korean Style Sushi, that was egg battered and pan fried. Never had anything like that before either. Presentation was really beautiful. For an entree we got the Chicken Cutlet April Special. It was basically stuffed breaded chicken served with a creamy polenta. The sauces were really delicious, the polenta the perfect compliment to the chicken. We were really satisfied with our food choices. One of the reasons why we'll be back is the BOTTOMLESS Kim Chee and Daikon Kim Chee which were among the best I've ever had. We ended up getting dessert, the Elota Ice Cream. It was a bit pricey at $14, but was definitely unique, and again presentation was beautiful. It was basically corn flavored ice cream molded in the form of corn, with toppings. We'll definitely be back. Next time we'll bring mosquito repellent.“
“Hands down the best chicken place I've ever been to! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness that made me feel right at home. The customer service here is exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure every customer leaves with a smile. And let's talk about the chicken - it's absolutely phenomenal! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, each bite is a culinary delight. Whether you're a fan of classic fried chicken or crave something a bit more adventurous, this place has it all. Combine that with the welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service, and you've got yourself a true gem of a restaurant. I'll definitely be coming back for more! This place is so underrated!“
“overall, 4.5 stars. needed a quick dinner and this hit the spot! it's self serve so you can pick whatever flavors you want, and then when you pay they offer to torch the cooked ones, like the bulgogi and unagi. super fast service, and they have good combos for rolls and drinks to add on too. the pricing is pretty fair for the size of these, but the discount for ordering a bigger box size isn't significant. either way, 4-5 pieces is only $15 per person! there's a lot of choices so I'd come back to try new ones! ps it's right next to yifang perfect spot to get dinner and a drink“
“In search of a Great Korean BBQ, My wife and I stumbled upon @goodchicken_waikiki.The food was AMAZING!Atmosphere was super Friendly. The service was out of this world, please, please go visit when in Hawaii on Waikiki.Kid-friendliness: Family dinning.Wheelchair accessibility: Escalators for ease of access to the downstairs restaurants.“
“I’ve been around the world eating great Korean food but there is nothing like Gina’s. From the moment you walk in you can tell everyone from the young gentleman working the cash register to the cook in the back or the owner the circles around you can tell each person is happy you stopped and ate at Gina’s, you can also taste it in their cooking. They make each meal like it’s in its own league, no mass cooking and heating older food I always have hot fresh cooked food when I come here and it’s amazing. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone that loves Korean or island food. You won’t be disappointed. Stop by here at least once a week and will continue to do so due to the great quality and customer service!Kid-friendliness: Amazing with kids!!!“
“A little gem. We were craving meat Jun but didn't want to go to million restaurant and noticed the Yelp reviews for Ireh. The service was friendly and the place was clean. We tried Kalbi, cheese ttebokki, and meat Jun. The prices were reasonable and the portions were plentiful. They all tasted good. So much cheese pull on the ttebokki. The meat Jun was tasty as well as the Kalbi. We would definitely come again. The only issue is the parking. We were able to find street parking.“
“Awesome experience! A hidden gem! Must go again and enjoy!Very friendly service, food was amazing, price was decent, lots of varieties on the menu that I wish I had more room for..Family owned business..They don't have chicken, tho they have wagu steak!Their recommendation was for the marinated kalbi and they were right! The kalbi needs to be fully cooked so that you can really appreciate the marinated flavor!“
“Reposted from @hawaiifoodreviews ????? ?????? (?/?? ?)?????: (? ?) Overall we thought the food at Seoul Kimbap was very good. ???? ?????? $?.?? (?:1) is my favorite Kimbap there. I do wish there was some American Cheese though. That would make it perfect! My wife prefers the Spicy Pork Kimbap. She says the Kimbap is the closest to homemade she's had in Hawaii. The wifey was born and raised in Korea so I'll take her word for it. You also get some fish cake soup with each order of Kimbap. I forgot to take a pic because I was excite to have the ?????? ???? $?.?? (? :2) is one of the wifey's faves. It's rich and hearty but balanced out by lots of kimchee. It is a Kimchi Soup of course!.???????? & ??????????: (? ?) We don't usually rate service for takeout but the service is always so friendly and welcoming we had to. It's like one of those friendly mom & pop shops you see on K-drama..????????: Highly recommended. This is one of those places that just make you feel happy and satisfied. They have no IG but are located in Pioneer Plaza at Fort Street Mall.“
“Excellent food and service!! I went there with my two boys march 5th at night. They were so helpful and amazing. Our server (wish I remembered his name) helped us cook our meat since we were a bit confused and kept checking on us the whole time. The food was seriously delicious. Ive been to Korea and I can say this was just as good as kbbq there. I had kimchi stew and it was soooo good! I also loved that it didnt have shrimp paste since I have allergies. They accommodated my son who is gluten free only also. This place is such a gem. It was our last night in Honolulu and Im soo glad our uber driver recommended it. A bit pricey but all kbbq places are. The atmosphere is also nice and I like that everyone has their own booths with separations. The area is close to a main mall and felt like a safe area.“
“My first time visiting this business. There are many refrigerators of Banchan and other foods. I had look through all of them to decide on what to get. Ambiance is grab and take prepared foods. My purchase was fishcake, small container of Taegu, and freshly made chop chae. Employee was friendly and provided good service. There was no table to sit and eat so I ate at home. Taegu was a little spicy so i ate it with noodles and fish cake.“
“Love the food and service here! I can definitely say with confidence that I come here at least once a week. Food is always on point and the service never disappoints. Also, love that the food is usually within 15 minutes. If you're hungry, go for one of their two choice combos. My favorite is the kalbi and zucchini Jun. My top picks are either Mandoo guk sop or the yukgaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup). They use real fernbrake in the soup.“
“I I dined at this restaurant, the kimchi, seven, and Thursday, March 21. The food was awesome. I mean talk about lots and lots of food. I got so much food with one entrée that I took at home was able to eat the rest of it for dinner, and then even some more for breakfast the following day. I had their Mucho chicken and their vegetable tempura. I found them both to be awesome. My son had the chicken Katsu and his wife had meat June.“
“Great customer service and set up for cooking your own Korean food.Unfortunately, I didn’t think that the quality of the meats were the best. I’ve had much better here in Hawaii.I really love the woman that are working here. They’re very fast and efficient and fun.I would recommend having some friends coming over here and having drinks and eating, I just don’t recommend the food“
“First time here. Small little hole in the wall. Love the fire chicken! It's spicy just how I like it! Bulgogi was nice and soft. They just opened so it wasn't too busy. Also loved the music they were playing! A lot of BTS, some black pink and Jay Park Definitely family style to share Definitely want to come here for dinner to see their menu“
“You can also eat in the store, but they give you food in disposable containers. After ordering, it was so large that I had no choice but to go, so it was convenient for customers. I ordered one serving of the special set and kimchi pancake, and 2 adults and a 3-year-old child ate it together. I packed the leftover rice and side dishes well and was able to eat until breakfast. When you order a dish, you can choose four side dishes, including kimchi, seasoned seaweed, stewed potatoes, japchae, seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned cabbage, etc. All four we chose were delicious and both the ribs and kimchi pancakes were excellent restaurants. It was the most cost-effective and satisfying meal during my trip to Hawaii?“
“I was the very last order of the night. They were getting ready to shut down when I walked up. I never knew this food truck was here. Korean food sounded great. They accommodated me. I order bulgogi. It was hot, a hefty portion with salad rice and kimchee. It also tasted great. Highly recommended and if I'm ever in this area again I know what to eat. Thanks so much.“
“We are so lucky to have an outstanding Korean BBQ restaurant in our neighborhood. Their food quality and flavors are so consistent, and it's a great value! Everything on their menu is delicious and we recommend trying their Kapolei BBQ special for only $21. It comes with BBQ chicken, kalbi, bulgogi and meat jun accompanied with white rice and 4 choices of side dishes. It's a great way to sample several items in one plate. I love their mandoo so I always add an order of mandoo, which comes with the choice of 6 or 12 pieces. Check them out!“
“The Von's I usually order from was closed, so I got delivery from this location for the first time. The snow wings were soul-satisfying, as they always have been. It's good to find consistency of quality in different franchise locations. I continue to yearn for just a bit more cheese, though. But then they lost me with the mandoo. There was no option for "no sauce," just "regular," "mild," and " spicy." I didn't want any sauce but selected mild. They took great care to vent the container so the mandoo wouldn't get limp and soggy. Then they completely undermined that effort. Foolish me for assuming the sauce would be on the side. Instead, the mandoo were drenched in this sickly sticky and slightly sweet sauce. My taste buds were not amused. I don't care for them but I won't waste food, either.Should I order mandoo from here again, I will write in a special request for NO SAUCE.“
“4.0 is too low a rating.I went a few days ago and ate kimchi stew, japchae, and ribs, and it was all so delicious. Today, I ate soft tofu stew and stir-fried pork again, and it was so delicious that I am writing a review for the third time in my life. The owner and employees are also very nice~“
“We've had Korean Fried Chicken all over the island and mainland, and my uncle has had it best in Seoul. We came here as a last ditch effort for both of us to find what we thought would be the closest to the best from our travels and we found it here. You have to wait about 20 minutes for your food but it's worth it. The crunch of the chicken is amazing, it's moist, and the sauces they use taste great. I get the spiciest one and my uncle got soy garlic. The batter holds up so well to the chicken, that even when we got home the sauce didn't make it soggy. It's nice and clean inside and very modern looking with Kdramas and videos playing to entertain you while you wait. Overall, the best KFC on island and their kimchee tastes fantastic too!“
“I ordered a BBQ Chicken and BBQ Beef combination plate from here and enjoyed it so much. The beef had a delicious char flavor and the chicken was amazing, what was more amazing was the great service I was provided here by the staff.I recommend this place as there is so much to choose from on the menu.“
“I happened to be in this neighborhood because I had to be at the General hospital. I needed to eat and this was the only restaurant that I could find in the vicinity. Two sweet older ladies, who I assume are the eponymous 2 moms, run this hole in the wall. But don't be deceived, this little gem serves very good food in generous portions at a very reasonable price. I had the barbecue chicken and it was very good. And did I mention that these ladies are really sweet? One of them proudly showed me her beautiful potted plant. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again I will not hesitate to come back. And when I do I will try the spicy pork.“
“This is hands down the best Korean food restaurant whenever I think of Korean food. There is wait either on the phone or in line but it is so well worth it. The owner has a photographic memory and makes it an effort to remember all of her customers. She still asks me about my children who are grown and out of the house. I am happy they survived the pandemic and we are still able to enjoy them. If you want delicious meat or fish jun, this is the place to go.Parking: Hard to find parking.“
“A really positive poke bowl experience. I particularly like the focus on the actual fish itself in these poke bowls, particularly coming from Australia where ours are usually 1/8 fish, 1/4 edamame and all the rest is salad.Really nice and easy serving to eat, very surprised to see products even down to the soy sauce are produced in Hawaii itself. The shop itself is a little rundown, but the food makes up for it big time.“
“The bad first to get it out of the way. The parking lot is small and it's not easy to find street/metered parking. The restaurant was definitely small and where I was sitting there was a drip of water falling from the ceiling. I'm not sure that would pass certain inspections. The good news is the food is pretty decent if you're looking for a more authentic Korean experience. The banchan included kimchi, cucumber kimchi, spinach, bean sprouts, and two types of radish kimchi (white and spicy). I ended up ordering the pork spare ribs. They were grilled, juicy, and lightly salted on a bed of onions. I thoroughly enjoyed the rib and onion combo and the slightly charred flavor from the grill. It was too much to eat all at once so I had to take the rest to go. The location is very casual and the ajumma was nice and was quick to get anything we needed, I'd have to say the food was the most authentic out of the Korean places we tried on the island. And yes, they use STICKY rice, which many other places don't. I'd definitely come back and try some of the other dishes next time I'm back on the island.“
“Great little hole in the wall ! Service is awesome and you have got to try it if you enjoy authentic Korean food! Seafood pancake - awesome - crispy and the sauce is awesome Seafood hot pot plenty of seafood and cooked perfectly- 3 of us had our fill and still took some home Steam eggs OMG do good! Lots of side dishes - we loved the potatoes - Kim Chee - fish cake - We'll be back good very good“
“I ordered the food and took around 10-15min. Very helpful. However because it is a Korean couple running it, they make everything fresh! I got the bulgolgi sandwich which was very tasty! I would definitely go back! It was around 14 dollars.“
“The mondoo being sold is very good. It's the first time I've had chicken mondoo. It is tasty and probably a little healthier for you. The ladies making the mondoo are very friendly and courteous. The pricing is reasonable. Due to COVID protocols, you order your mondoo at the entrance way. All transactions are done at the door which is fine as they are very efficient in processing your order. You're in and out in about 5 ninutes“
“Had the lunch special, chicken and Terry beef. Okay little dry. Very clean, just the extra charges for container, and sauce I don't understand, I can see if they had somkind of sauce for the chicken but nothing for the price it's an average 3!“
“I asked the staff what was the most popular item and she said it was the Bibimbop. I ordered the Spicy Pork one. It wasn't spicy for me; since I'm Asian but it might be spicy for other people. Anyways it was okay. But for the price, it was very good.“
“I had the pleasure of dining at Ireh Kitchen, a charming little Korean eatery nestled in the vibrant streets of Honolulu. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a pleasant dining experience.Ambience:The restaurant boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for casual lunches and intimate dinners. The decor is simple yet elegant, with touches of Korean culture subtly woven throughout.Service:The staff at Ireh Kitchen were attentive and friendly. They were quick to offer recommendations, ensuring that we had a delightful dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and the ingredients used in each dish was impressive.Food:The menu offered a diverse range of Korean dishes, each prepared with a blend of traditional flavors and a hint of modern flair. I tried the Bibimbap and the Kimchi Jjigae, both of which were delightful. The Bibimbap was a colorful array of fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked rice, and savory beef, all topped with a beautifully fried egg. The Kimchi Jjigae had just the right balance of spiciness and tanginess, making it a comforting dish.Price:The pricing was reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. It's a good value for money, especially in a city like Honolulu. Conclusion:Ireh Kitchen is a delightful spot for anyone seeking authentic Korean cuisine. The combination of great food, a cozy atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. While there's a little room for improvement in terms of variety in side dishes, it still stands out as a gem in Honolulu's culinary scene.“
“We eat here every time we are in Honolulu. Hidden gem and not far from Waikiki. The staff is so helpful to put the meat on the bbq if you slack. Don't be in a hurry with this place....just enjoy every moment. Lots of different cuts of meat and sauces and dishes to put into lettuce wraps. They refill your lettuce if you run out, too!! Very excellent food and staff super attentive! Go here to experience what a Korean BBQ should be...this is the gold standard.“
“Husband and I are visiting from Phoenix AZ for our wedding anniversary and we are in love with Korean BBQ and have tried plenty different restaurants. Let me tell you, the atmosphere here is beautiful and welcoming. The food is amazing the sam goes perfectly and it’s all fresh and tastes homemade. I have nothing bad to say, come here if you want your belly happy and full.“
“My go to when im craving seafood black noodle and sweet sour pork in Honolulu. Sign on the outside says Northern Chinese Cuisine but they serve kim chee, takuan and onions with black bean paste as starters. There are other similar restaurants in Oahu but this is the best?Portions and taste makes you come back for more, everything is served hot and right out of the kitchen. Parking can be tough during the day but evening free street parking is available. Service is adequate, when its busy you just have to flag them down. 5 stars???Parking: Meter parking in front and side streets and paid parking in back“
“I used to live in Honolulu and still visit several times per year. One of the first places I visit is Itchy Butt. The Korean fried chicken, bulgogi and spicy pork bowl were delicious. I can't find this type of cuisine even in Vegas! A new item to the menu is chicken wings which I ordered the 20 count but the portion was very generous. I definitely look forward to my next visit at Itchy Butt!“
“Ordered kanpyo maki and shinko (takuan) maki. Made to order here. Small bento, sushi and plate lunch available. Reasonable prices. The place exudes mom and pop local vibes. There are a few booths and seats available to eat in or you may order take out. Nice lady took my order and a nice man helped with the take out plate lunches. Both helped with the seated customers. The sushi was tasty and the rice was fluffy. Enjoyed both the shinko and kanpyo makis. I was initially looking for musubis. This was a perfect substitute. Food: 4 out of 5 Ambiance: 3 out of 5 stars Service: 4 out of 5 stars“
“My friend took me here! I wanted something spicy! It was good! at first I wasn't really impressed with how the beans looked lol but as we ate it was delicious! We also had rice wine. My friend had said that this place is usually busy but it wasn't too crazy on a Friday at 6:30 ish. Great spot if your craving Korean street Food. Next time I want to try the spicy rice cake.“
“I got take out half order crispy and half order mild bbq, tteokbokki and radish. Both types of wings were good. Tteokbokki was good as well. There was no radish dish that I paid for. Service was very kind! Parking isn't bad if you pick up at lunchtime. Cost was over the top as expected. It's good! Don't know whether I absolutely need to return. More power to them though. If you're ever in Tahoe, you MUST stop at Wing's Korean Chicken in Incline Village. Their chicken is delicious and large. Best Korean chicken in US so far. You get the gloves too.“
“We've eaten here twice, the first time was excellent, the second time was pretty good, but the atmosphere was a little bit off.Normally I don't care too much about ambiance at a restaurant, but we were almost the only people in there and there was an older woman there watching something on a tablet, I think she was probably family. I don't mind that at all, but she had the tablet like REALLY REALLY loud. I mean REALLY loud. It seemed like some sort of game show or something, but it really made it hard for us to have a nice dinner. We're polite, and we figured maybe it was an older family member hard of hearing so we didn't really say anything, but I figured the owner should have realized how loud it was. It was just uncomfortable. The bbq chicken we got was pretty good, and the zucchini jun was good as well. My wife said the meat and fish just was just okay. We would probably order from here again, but more likely takeout.“
“Een eating her since small kid time. I will be 60 in September and will continue to support and eat her till I no longer can. Huge plate lunches worth my money spent. You tip them well, they bonus you with hot pies, chicken or fries.Parking: The early bird get the worm“
“You can't go wrong no matter what you order❗The best?⤴⤴The dark soup, fried rice, jajangmyeon, and gyoza are also the best?New menu recommendedasparagus, mushrooms, and chickenStir-fried food is awesome. It goes well with fried rice! The shop owner had his leg cast in a cast.He was out at the store.Take care ❤️“
“One thing about this place is that their portions are pretty big. Their mini portions are huge too! LOCATION: This review is for their location in the Makiki Shopping Village. Right off of Wilder Avenue. PARKING: The shopping village has a small parking lot that's shared with other small businesses in the area. Depending on the time of day, it gets pretty busy. They have a few metered spots out front and street parking. Just be mindful of the tow zone times in the area. If you make a phone order, some park right in front of their store. However, don't park there too long.... The spot in front of their store is a no parking zone. SERVICE: They are always so nice and prompt whenever I visit here. I've always received friendly service here. ATMOSPHERE: Their store is always clean. I always see them cleaning and wiping tables. There's a few tables to eat at inside and it feels very cozy. I believe this is a small family business?? Not too sure, but it feels like it. FOOD: Their portions are pretty big. Their plates come with banchan and they are very generous with the portions. I hope you come in with an appetite! My favorite dish to get here is their mean jun... or bbq chicken.. or seaweed soup. Although their menu is limited, they serve the typical takeout Korean dishes. This place is simple, convenient and always delicious!“
“Skip the overpriced AYCE places that represent 1/16 of what Koreans eat and come here. The menu is broad and covers (darn near) everything: jjigaes, mandu kuk, dok mandu kuk, soon toobu, kalbi, etc, etc. This is Korean food that a Korean mom would make, assuming she is a great cook. There is plenty of parking and the prices are great. The service was great, she went out of her way to painstakingly give us directions. Hands down the best meal we had while in Oahu.Parking: You can either park in front of the restaurant or in the Ala Moana Shopping Center“
“Tried Seoul Food on Thursday after watching food vlogger Misty of Food Fiend...OMG the meat jun plate so massive! At 1st thought price was high for over the counter fast food BUT 3 people could share w/ medium appetites? HECK family of 4 ...2adults and 2 kids...only down side ban chan No Choice kind of boring... Kim chee, seasoned cucumbers & seasoned bean sprouts...no chapchae or shoyu potatoes I'll be back again from Ewa???Parking: Lots of parking.“
“Elims has been apart of the Ewa beach shopping center for as long as I can remember. mom and pop shop, cardboard everywhere but still nicely intact, food counter is clean cold drinks are laid out nice and the banchan area is always filled. I thought to come here instead of pearls chain restaurant just to support local cuz id be sad to see them fold.I ordered the classic kalbi & meatjun combo. Now, the reviews may be right about the meatjun. It’s not the best, meat was kinda tough but flavor wise was ok, I’m all about having a good sauce to cover that so i ordered extra meat Jun sauce.Kalbi was freakin good. Way better than pearls because the marinate and smoky taste from the grill comes thru. It’s also not overly sauced up like some places, it just tastes like homemade kalbi cooked on a grill. You don’t need to get the meat Jun, but you gotta get the kalbi.4 sides: 2x mayo potato (always good lil sweet) noodles, and seaweed. Didn’t taste old, very good flavor!Price: $23 and some change cuz I ordered 2 xtra big cups of meat jun sauce lol. Free parking. **NOW TAKES CARD**“
“This is a humble diner with class in their presentation and taste and srrvice. You are greeted when you arrive shown to a table and attended to fir your order and refreshments - water is important to me and an indicator of service especially when I am thirsty -The multiple- sides appetizer like platter that comes out before our entrees is beautiful diverse and tasty - i love spice and Korean spice is yummy garlicky and chili peppery ?My daughter has less enthusiasm for spicy food - but she has more than a few dishes she enjoys here tooWe were so hungry I forgot to take pics before we started - forgive the almost empty appetizer plate w/ various kimchee, prepared veggies and fishcake - the image is my hot kimchee seafood soup -Located between Daiso and Long's CVS in Pearl City, HI“
