“Found this place on Reddit for good local recommendations. This is a tiny place where you never go in. You order take out ahead of time or right at the opened door. It seems to be super popular and well known and the award stickers in the window can probably attest to that.
The staff is very kind and the service was quite quick.
We had the kal bee and meat jun combination plate. We had no clue that meat jun was a beef fritter so we were going in blind. Both meats were sweet and were very tasty, but I think I would lean towards the meat jun if I had to only choose one. The sauce dripped into the rice below the meats and even made that taste better. The salads that come with the meal also were given some love instead of just plain cabbage being served.
Overall, my only negative is the place was quite pricy. Yes it’s Hawai’i so the cost is higher than the mainland, yes it short-ribs, but the inflation seems to have hit here pretty hard. Everything else about this place deserves high praise.“

“The owner and staff here are so friendly.
The chicken sandwich made here is the best chicken sandwich I know.
If you are reading my review, eat the chicken sandwich right now.
It will be one of the best things you've ever done in your life.“

“Absolutely outstanding! This Korean restaurant exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was simply phenomenal - every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The kimchi was perfectly fermented, the bulgogi was tender and savory, and the bibimbap was a delightful mix of textures and tastes. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Korean dining experience. Five stars all the way!“

“We came here on a Monday when they happened to be open. First time customers. We ordered Kimchi fried rice, meat jun and chicken katsu combo, and meat jun fried mandoo combo. Everything was very good, good flavors, perfectly cooked. We recommend!“

“I lived in Korea for six years. It’s hard to find that perfect beef and leaf joint you remember from your Sam gyup sal days in Korea, but this place can do it.#1. The staff is great. I enjoy seeing them every time I go.#2. They have the soju, the Korean beer, the makgeolli.#3 The BBQ is on point, the sides are delicious and the kimchi is always great. If someone doesn’t like this place, then they don’t like real Korean food. Plain and simple.“

“Great quality when it comes to the meat. A lot of variety to pick from and it is reasonably priced. They offer a bunch of different sides with the meal as well. Although there are better restaurants as far as aesthetics goes, I really like this one. This is the only Korean BBQ place I eat at. Fast service and the servers come to your table as soon as they notice you have started cooking all the meat they brought. Highly recommended!
Parking: Located in a shopping center. Plenty of parking.“

“Good Korean style chicken. Lots of different sauce options. I thought it just had slightly too much breading. I got 10 boneless wings which are considered "half" and it was about $18. Slightly overpriced but that's Hawaii. I would recommend getting something else with the chicken. I got the special sauce and it was good, and it just had a slight kick which was nice. I ordered to go, don't forget to grab the utensils though because it wasn't in the bag.
If you want some Korean Chicken, go check it out. They had some good Korean drinks available too.“
