Komo is a high-end sushi restaurant located inside the main lobby at the Four Seasons Maui. It offers an incredible and exceptional dining experience with a focus on authentic, traditional Japanese-style sushi, not the "North American" style. The fish is exceptionally fresh and aged perfectly, with flavors that shine through in every bite. Standout dishes include the hamachi kabosu, Toro rice bowl, Yasai salad maki, Fuji salmon nigiri, and the Grabbing Temaki. Every roll or nigiri is described as out of this world, creative, and beautifully presented.
The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning atmosphere and an incredible vibe. The service is outstanding, warm, and unrivalled, making guests feel special and completely taken care of from start to finish. Attention to detail is noted in everything, including the special rice imported from Hokkaido, the table-side fresh wasabi, the light and sweet soy sauce, and the complimentary cold green tea palate cleanser.
While definitely a splurge and on the higher end of expensive, most reviewers find it worth it for the world-class food, service, and ambience. Sitting at the bar provides a great opportunity to interact with the chefs. The combination makes for an unforgettable and memorable meal, a highlight of a trip to Maui, and a top choice for the best authentic sushi on the island.
