“This is our favorite food in Maui.
Totally authentic, totally delicious.
The katsu is their specialty, but don't sleep on other options - Korean chicken, tempura, and all the sides are great too.
A must for a taste of local Japanese cuisine.
We sat on the small bench near the counter, keep in mind there's really nowhere to sit, so plan to eat in your car or back at your accommodations.“

“Absolutely worth the stop! The orange truck is parked in the empty lot next to the old Home Maid Bakery in Wailuku. Japanese husband-and-wife team serving up top-quality, delicious grinds. It’s now a weekly stop for us! Favorites are the Keyakiya chicken, Katsu, shrimp tempura & veggies, and beef udon. Everything we’ve tried has been outstanding! Slight wait for freshly cooked meals but sooo worth it!! ⭐ Highly recommend!!! 😋“

“The food here was unexpectedly excellent. ALL of it. It’s a food truck in the parking lot of an old gas station, but gave the atmosphere 3-stars because there is shade and the tables and bathroom were clean. Really nice people to. Will absolutely be back.“

“Get here before the lunch rush and you’ll get a seat, no problem. A local recommended this spot & it did not disappoint. Extensive menu and we ordered the Chicken Katsu & Chicken Katsu Curry. Both were delicious & portion size was perfect for us. Excited to come back & try other menu items!“

“THE local grinds place! The Dry noodles are outstanding as is the entire menu. They serve local style foods, so please keep that in mind if you are visiting. It is a small diner with excellent service, and fast! The folks there are aweet--Tiffany and Casey are da best! Enjoy!!!“

“The food is good, the portions large. The menu has 127 items, while not all are available, it is still impressive. And difficult to choose. The butterfish it's exactly that, butter soft and delicious. Sushi portions are too big for a single bite.“

“We have ordered a big bowl of chow main and A chicken katsu plate,both came in a very large sizes,then a rice bowl which came also in a good size,I appreciate it,normally you don’t get that good sizes in a restaurant on Hawai’i.
It Tasted really good and it wasn’t that pricey either.i am thinking of visiting ramen ya more often.“

“Excellent night place for a later dinner, family friendly staff and atmosphere, good variety of food, group of 3 of us, shared unagi don, tonkatsu ramen and a katsu chicken plate all were good, the unagi was so so, a little to mushy,like it firmer and prefer it really cooked over a fire grill, but overall we enjoyed it!“
“The food was delicious! Prepared swiftly and hot! And the owners are very kind! The Crispy Mahi Plate comes with 4 pieces - only 3 are shown in this picture because I ate the 1st before deciding to leave a review. When I look for places to eat, I often turn to google reviews and pictures to help me pick. At the time, this truck has a 3.7 star rating and they deserve a higher rating! Hope this helps push them into the 4’s. If you’re looking for a good fish or sushi food truck, you’ll be pleased with Sushi Kochi!“

“Food was amazing! We don't have a Genki Sushi in South Texas, so we really took advantage of being able to eat it. We ate here 3 times within the week while on vacation. The wait wasn't too long for a group of 8, and the other days that we ate with just the younger kids (a group of 4), there was no wait at all.“
