This dinner, while expensive, was genuinely one of the best meals and experiences I’ve ever had! I sat near the kitchen for about 3 hours and wish I could go back. “Looking for a quick and easy bite to eat, my husband and I ordered takeout from Da Kitchen Maui. We ordered the Kalbi plate and an order of deep fried spam masubi to-go. The service was fast and extremely friendly. We ended up taking our food back to our resort to enjoy in the comfort of our room.

The Kalbi plate and deep fried spam musubi was plenty for the two of us to share and came with tons of rice and Mac salad. The short ribs were tender, and the chicken was moist. I had never tried deep fried spam musubi before, but I was a big fan.

So if you’re looking for a tasty quick bite to eat, I’d recommend Da Kitchen Maui.“

Holly and the crew at diamonds made great food and drinks in spectacular and accommodating environment. We had over 40 people and they made it work with multiple TV’s and sound. It was a great time! “Decided to splurge a little and treat myself and family to a nice breakfast in wailea. As locals we have our usual spots but decided to give this place a try since there was a kamaaina special. We weren’t disappointed. I had my fill of smoked salmon, ahi poke, bacon, and eggs benny (all buffet so that was a plus). Kiddos had everything and the wife really enjoyed the atmosphere. Not stuffy, great staff (Venus was our server) and the kamaaina was a plus. Coming back again.“

The food and setting are not fancy, but you pay about the same or less than for food from the local grocery store. You can get a meal for about 10 to 20 dollars. Very friendly service. We kept it simple and went with the chicken street tacos, and honestly, sometimes simple just hits different. The chicken was flavorful and cooked just right, the tortillas were legit (no cracking, no falling apart mid-bite—always a silent test), but the real magic? The crema and fresh cilantro. That combo didn’t just sit on top—it elevated the whole taco like it got promoted mid-meal. Creamy, fresh, herby… every bite felt balanced and intentional.

Now, fair warning—this place isn’t cheap. But the flavors do show up to justify the price… mostly.

Here’s where I had a tiny taco tantrum: the add-ons. Lime? Extra charge. Little extras that feel like they should just come with the taco experience? Also extra. At this price point, I feel like lime should not be a luxury item—it should be a given. Don’t make me negotiate with my taco.

Also—cash only, so don’t roll up here flashing your credit card like it’s going to impress anyone. Bring cash, or bring regret.

Final verdict: Hidden gem, flavorful tacos, worth the hunt—but be ready to pay for the full experience (and then some). Dropping one star for the “lime is extra” plot twist. Still, if you’re in Kihei, this spot is definitely worth a taco detour 🌮“

Wow best thing I tasted on island and I been to a bunch of expensive less than amazing places here. Service top notch. Cleanliness is next to godliness here, rest of island not so much. If you need italian your choices are limited. Kid had really good meatball spaghetti. Burger is good enough to buy again. Gonna hit this place up for those ribs again.“
