“Best hotel in Maui. They provide unlimited spa access unlike four seasons and Ritz, and location is perfect for snorkeling and paddle boarding . Turtles and seals are often visible from the beach . Not as many restaurants at other properties but the property itself is immaculate and leaves nothing to be desired .“

“Seriously the best place on ALL levels. Get there when they open at 11:00 as it gets very busy. There was a line out the door when we were there. Reasonably priced and great to take out for a day at the beach. We had an assortment of food items as we went a few times on our stay in Kahana. Lobster Bisque - Made fresh and it is the best I have ever had Poke - Fresh and delicious. By far the best I have ever had Shrimp Cocktail - You cant go wrong with a classic favorite Fish & Chips - nicely fried - not greasy and large portion Grilled/Fried Fish Tacos - They were both equally delicious and large portions Oyster Shooter - I could have had a dozen Seaweed Salad - Fresh and great flavor Crab Cakes - OMG The piece de resistance though was was the fresh Mahi Mahi that we barbequed. We used the 10 minute soy ginger marinade and it was better than outstanding. All of the workers are so nice and helpful. They work hard and take care of you from start to finish. “The Korean-style chicken barbecue was flavorful, though slightly on the dry side and could have benefited from a bit more sauce. Portions were more modest compared to Won’s in Kahului, though it’s worth noting this isn’t a dedicated Korean establishment and shouldn’t be judged as such. Overall, it was a wholesome, satisfying, and health-conscious meal. Be aware that seating is limited to outdoor tables only.“

“We got plate lunch at several places on the island while we were here. I wasn't sure how this place would compare to the food trucks since it's a franchise. I'm happy to report that the combination plate we got here was the best we tried. The mac salad was the best (most places we tried prior had no mayo, and we prefer mayo in ours). None of the meat was too salty. The steak was cut so thin and was very flavorful and tender. The chicken thighs were perfect and not dry. And the ribs were great as well. I saw several locals going in which also provides confidence. Lastly, I got a spam musubi and it was great; definitely get one before you leave the island.“

“We just so happened to stumble upon Slappy Cakes while driving by in Maui! We decided to check it out before heading back home from vacation and Slappy Cakes did NOT disappoint!! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was very friendly. Coy was our server and we will never forget how awesome he was!! Not only was he an excellent and very prompt server but he stayed after closing time to finish a conversation with us about the island that left a lasting impact on our hearts. “Food was exceptional, possibly the best on the island. That being said the service was lacking for an Applebees let alone a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton. Server was nice and so were all those assisting but took a long time to get basic drinks like cranberry juice and went long periods of time without water refills. Possibly short staffed that night, but have nothing else to compare to but the one evening. Again the food was amazing.“

“This restaurant was a safe haven for us! We loved the delicious chicken and beans. The price was super affordable and the portions were huge!

One of our favorite moments of the whole trip was grabbing lunch, splitting sandwiches, and literally watching whales from the table. “This review is not for the restaurant per se but these guys did cater a private luau for 10 for my family at our resort. They were super accommodating and super easy to work with. They created a gorgeous fruit platter, Kalua Pork, Huli Huli Chicken, Poke, Teriyaki Beef, chow fun noodles, grilled veggies, specialty bread and specialty Gelato which was all fabulous! “We came here for tomohawk Tuesday and it was great! Highly recommend it was a coursed meal with shareable Caesar salad followed by the tomahawk(we got two orders of the dinner so each tomahawk was shared by three of us) and was served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The broccolini was also really yummy and was crispy with a little citrus on it (had to give a shout out!). And then ends with a shareable dessert of ice cream and waffle. We also got the calamari and potstickers to start that were also yummy. Great service and easy to get to!“

“Roy’s is set on the Ka’anapali golf course. The inside of the restaurant leaves a little to be desired. It’s very basic. Some of the other reviews state it being bright and louder, which I would say is accurate. Feels like a slightly upscale clubhouse restaurant.

That being said, everyone that helped us that evening were very nice and accommodating. They made you feel like you were in a fancy restaurant. Our server, Christina, was fantastic.

The food, including the appetizers and main course, were delicious. Our table enjoyed the calamari, bao buns and beet salad to start. Then we had the butterfish, macadamia crusted catch, which was Mahi, tiger shrimp, ribeye and fish/shrimp duo. We all enjoyed our meals.

As with any of the other “elevated” restaurants on the island, you will want to make a reservation.“
