“We love going to Leilani’s on the Beach. The service is top-notch, and the setting cannot be beat (although admittedly, many Maui b chaise restaurants match it… West Maui is amazing!). Every meal we’ve tried has been delicious. When we first visited in 2008, it inspired us to name our daughter-to-come Leilani. She is now 17 and we are on our way back soon for her grad trip. Can’t wait to see you in April!“

“Seriously the best place on ALL levels. Get there when they open at 11:00 as it gets very busy. There was a line out the door when we were there. Reasonably priced and great to take out for a day at the beach. We had an assortment of food items as we went a few times on our stay in Kahana. Lobster Bisque - Made fresh and it is the best I have ever had Poke - Fresh and delicious. By far the best I have ever had Shrimp Cocktail - You cant go wrong with a classic favorite Fish & Chips - nicely fried - not greasy and large portion Grilled/Fried Fish Tacos - They were both equally delicious and large portions Oyster Shooter - I could have had a dozen Seaweed Salad - Fresh and great flavor Crab Cakes - OMG The piece de resistance though was was the fresh Mahi Mahi that we barbequed. We used the 10 minute soy ginger marinade and it was better than outstanding. All of the workers are so nice and helpful. They work hard and take care of you from start to finish. Thank you Jim and crew for sharing your food and hospitality. You bet I will be back on my next visit to Maui. Mahalo!“

“This was honestly my favorite meal of our entire stay on Maui. The teri steak and coconut shrimp combo was excellent. Flavorful and juicy, generous portions, and fairly quick service. My husband’s Korean BBQ chicken was great too. Price was fair given the portion size and what you’d expect. Would definitely go back again! “Best hotel in Maui. They provide unlimited spa access unlike four seasons and Ritz, and location is perfect for snorkeling and paddle boarding . Turtles and seals are often visible from the beach . Not as many restaurants at other properties but the property itself is immaculate and leaves nothing to be desired .“

“Chicken katsu curry and garlic chicken plates were delicious. Ask for katsu sauce on side to dip in. We got the mini plates which were enough food for the average adult at $15 - fair price for Maui. Got take out and brought back to the resort to eat poolside, this is a solid local spot not a tourist spot“

“Forget the candlelit, white-tablecloth spots where they charge you $65 for three seared scallops and a single blade of grass. If you actually want to eat like a king without refinancing your home, this is the spot.
I ordered the half chicken platter, expecting a reasonable lunch. What I actually received was a glorious, juicy meat mountain that successfully fueled my lunch, my dinner, and a 10 PM pool snack. The chicken was so ridiculously tender and full of flavor that I almost felt bad for the resort restaurants nearby.
If you want to skip the dress codes and fancy beachfront pretense to just eat top-tier comfort food wrapped in foil by the pool or on the beach, do yourself a favor and stop at Mama’s. Just bring an appetite—and maybe an extra pair of stretchy pants.“

“It's nice to have Nanea's fine dining open again. The menu is pretty small but their options for food and beverages are a step above the pool bar. We had Lindsey 2 different nites and she was an awesome server. Another nite we had someone else and I think they were new and seemed scattered. “In the midst of Hurricane/tropical storm Lala, we found ourselves short a couple of squares of foil. We headed to Times supermarket to pick up foil, but they were closed. We saw lights on at Paradiso Pizza and would have pivoted and ordered dinner, had they not just closed. Upon asking for a couple of pieces of foil the man at the door popped inside and quickly returned with the needed foil to make our dinner back at the condo. A BIG MAHALO to them for that kindness. Next week when we are in Honokowai we will return for lunch or dinner one day.“
