“We love going to Leilani’s on the Beach. The service is top-notch, and the setting cannot be beat (although admittedly, many Maui b chaise restaurants match it… West Maui is amazing!). Every meal we’ve tried has been delicious. When we first visited in 2008, it inspired us to name our daughter-to-come Leilani. She is now 17 and we are on our way back soon for her grad trip. “Seriously the best place on ALL levels. Get there when they open at 11:00 as it gets very busy. There was a line out the door when we were there. Reasonably priced and great to take out for a day at the beach. We had an assortment of food items as we went a few times on our stay in Kahana. Lobster Bisque - Made fresh and it is the best I have ever had Poke - Fresh and delicious. By far the best I have ever had Shrimp Cocktail - You cant go wrong with a classic favorite Fish & Chips - nicely fried - not greasy and large portion Grilled/Fried Fish Tacos - They were both equally delicious and large portions Oyster Shooter - I could have had a dozen Seaweed Salad - Fresh and great flavor Crab Cakes - OMG The piece de resistance though was was the fresh Mahi Mahi that we barbequed. We used the 10 minute soy ginger marinade and it was better than outstanding. All of the workers are so nice and helpful. They work hard and take care of you from start to finish. Thank you Jim and crew for sharing your food and hospitality. You bet I will be back on my next visit to Maui. Mahalo!“

“Best hotel in Maui. They provide unlimited spa access unlike four seasons and Ritz, and location is perfect for snorkeling and paddle boarding . Turtles and seals are often visible from the beach . Not as many restaurants at other properties but the property itself is immaculate and leaves nothing to be desired .“

“Busy parking lot for a busy plaza. Had to loop several times until we could get a parking spot.

Cash only place. Was in between two items and they recommended the chicken katsu. It came with rice and Mac. It was really good and the portion was generous. Their Mac is on the simpler side a little more bland but one can appreciate that. Especially eating something fried and flavorful.“

“Chicken katsu curry and garlic chicken plates were delicious. Ask for katsu sauce on side to dip in. We got the mini plates which were enough food for the average adult at $15 - fair price for Maui. Got take out and brought back to the resort to eat poolside, this is a solid local spot not a tourist spot“

“Food was exceptional, possibly the best on the island. That being said the service was lacking for an Applebees let alone a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton. Server was nice and so were all those assisting but took a long time to get basic drinks like cranberry juice and went long periods of time without water refills. Possibly short staffed that night, but have nothing else to compare to but the one evening. Again the food was amazing.“

“We just so happened to stumble upon Slappy Cakes while driving by in Maui! We decided to check it out before heading back home from vacation and Slappy Cakes did NOT disappoint!! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was very friendly. Coy was our server and we will never forget how awesome he was!! Not only was he an excellent and very prompt server but he stayed after closing time to finish a conversation with us about the island that left a lasting impact on our hearts. Most would have pushed us out, but not a single staff at Slappy Cakes rushed us out at close so we could enjoy our meal and our experience while also making powerful connections! “First night in Maui and as a southerner I'm looking for bbq. I was skeptical but found out that both the South and the rainbow State have one thing in common we love us some pork. Pulled pork was juicy chicken wasn't dry and have flavor. Enough said. Sides want all that impressive just filler. They don't offer bread but with the price if bread there who could blame them“

“We came here for tomohawk Tuesday and it was great! Highly recommend it was a coursed meal with shareable Caesar salad followed by the tomahawk(we got two orders of the dinner so each tomahawk was shared by three of us) and was served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The broccolini was also really yummy and was crispy with a little citrus on it (had to give a shout out!). And then ends with a shareable dessert of ice cream and waffle. We also got the calamari and potstickers to start that were also yummy. Great service and easy to get to!“

He is incredibly welcoming, charismatic, and has genuinely incredible vibes all around. He gave us great recommendations for food, which were all amazing dishes. He is also very funny, if I could give this spot 100 stars for service I would do it. Although on the pricy side, it is definitely worth dining here 1000%.“

“Roy’s is set on the Ka’anapali golf course. The inside of the restaurant leaves a little to be desired. It’s very basic. Some of the other reviews state it being bright and louder, which I would say is accurate. Feels like a slightly upscale clubhouse restaurant.

That being said, everyone that helped us that evening were very nice and accommodating. They made you feel like you were in a fancy restaurant. Our server, Christina, was fantastic.

The food, including the appetizers and main course, were delicious. Our table enjoyed the calamari, bao buns and beet salad to start. Then we had the butterfish, macadamia crusted catch, which was Mahi, tiger shrimp, ribeye and fish/shrimp duo. We all enjoyed our meals.

As with any of the other “elevated” restaurants on the island, you will want to make a reservation.“
