“We love going to Leilani’s on the Beach. The service is top-notch, and the setting cannot be beat (although admittedly, many Maui b chaise restaurants match it… West Maui is amazing!). Every meal we’ve tried has been delicious. When we first visited in 2008, it inspired us to name our daughter-to-come Leilani. She is now 17 and we are on our way back soon for her grad trip. Can’t wait to see you in April!“

“We made a reservation in advance for the omakase experience. We've tried a couple of omakase dinners before but the one at Takumi felt intimate and personal. For omakase diners only, we were seated inside a room together all facing the chef, save for a table of four on the other wall. We tried their flight of sake that was chosen with chef specialty and had the best service offered by the waitressed who refilled our glasses plenty and attended to all our questions during dinner. It was an experience worthwhile and we celebrated our one year anniversary here! Definitely would recommend to those looking to try something new and wanting to taste unique sushi dishes. “Seriously the best place on ALL levels. Get there when they open at 11:00 as it gets very busy. There was a line out the door when we were there. Reasonably priced and great to take out for a day at the beach. We had an assortment of food items as we went a few times on our stay in Kahana. Lobster Bisque - Made fresh and it is the best I have ever had Poke - Fresh and delicious. By far the best I have ever had Shrimp Cocktail - You cant go wrong with a classic favorite Fish & Chips - nicely fried - not greasy and large portion Grilled/Fried Fish Tacos - They were both equally delicious and large portions Oyster Shooter - I could have had a dozen Seaweed Salad - Fresh and great flavor Crab Cakes - OMG The piece de resistance though was was the fresh Mahi Mahi that we barbequed. We used the 10 minute soy ginger marinade and it was better than outstanding. All of the workers are so nice and helpful. They work hard and take care of you from start to finish. Thank you Jim and crew for sharing your food and hospitality. You bet I will be back on my next visit to Maui. Mahalo!“

It is a resort restaurant, and worth every penny! Right off the beach of Black Rock Beach and easy to access.

Shade seating as well.

“our dinner last evening was perfect. I had the seafood platter and my husband had a steak. Everything was done just right - beautiful presentation- peaceful, lovely setting. We had a delicious dessert - can't remember the name, but it was a chocolate/coffee ice cream pie 🤷❤️“

“We came here for tomohawk Tuesday and it was great! Highly recommend it was a coursed meal with shareable Caesar salad followed by the tomahawk(we got two orders of the dinner so each tomahawk was shared by three of us) and was served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The broccolini was also really yummy and was crispy with a little citrus on it (had to give a shout out!). And then ends with a shareable dessert of ice cream and waffle. We also got the calamari and potstickers to start that were also yummy. Great service and easy to get to!“

“Incredible beach front restaurant! It is a bit on the pricey side but it was worth every penny. I would recommend getting dinner and dessert. I got the surf and turf duo, it comes with a filet mignon and lobster ravioli with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was delicious so flavorful and a great pairing between the two and the veggies. I also got the ice cream sandwich for dessert. Let me tell you, this is no average ice cream sandwich. It is huge and way better than anything I’ve ever had. The Tahitian vanilla ice cream paired with the brownie crust was amazing. I highly recommend the Ulu Kitchen to anyone staying remotely near it. It is great for date nights and nicer dinner with your family. The atmosphere and service were also excellent.“
