“Hawaii Calls is in a spectacular location on A Bay on the Big Island of Hawaii. Sunset views of the lagoon and Pacific Ocean beyond. If the food were mediocre and the service bad people would still come but neither is true. The food is good with a few items Excellent (salads, nut crusted fish) and the service is excellent“

“Had a great experience at Roy's. My first visit to this one. We have one in Las Vegas that I have been to. The cocktails were wonderful, Mai Tai and another specialty drink I can't remember the name of. A bit disappointed in two of the food items. The poke nachos were so spicy, I couldn't eat them. The Butterfish had a profoundly wild/fishy taste that made it inedible. I had not had butterfish before, so maybe that's just the way it tastes. In either case, I would have liked a warning. We had the MacNut blondie for dessert and it was amazing!“

“The food is good for the price. It's pretty affordable for Hawaii Food standards. You can get a plate lunch for under $10. Depending on what day of the week one of the cashiers is not friendly and seems angry all the time. There is one girl that is younger that is friendly and has a great personality towards the customers. I recommend their food if you want something cheap to eat in that area.“

“innovative Japanese fusion food, along with with outstanding classics such as a full line of sushi, sashimi and other favorites. Of particular mention is the dynamite shrimp - crispy panko-coated shrimp with a masago smelt aioli and a unagi glaze, and the crab ramen with cilantro, scallion, Thai basil and jalapeño in a truffle butter broth - UMAMI BOMB! I only wish I had room for the lobster-crab ravioli in a truffle-Madeira-cream sauce. Just thinking about it gives me the shakes. Glad I’m moving to Kona, or I’d never survive waiting for that dish (!)“

“Very nice place in the north of big island with an incredible atmosphere. We stopped for a bite in the evening and stayed for an amazing club concert. Owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. Fantastic place to spend the evening with delicious food and great music. The brussel sprouts were particularly exquisite.“

“Our server Brandy really made our Birthday evening. Exceptionally friendly and accommodating. She took photos, gave us the primo view, and made multiple suggestions from the menu. Her smile and attitude was Infectious. Burgers, fish tacos, poke, and steak were all great. Mmmm ice cream cookies too. She loved our matching shirts too!!“

“Love this place! Great piano player —he's amazing! Lovely menu staff is well trained and very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately servers still seem overwhelmed so don't come here if you're in a hurry or want to rush. Come here to stare at the stars and have a leisurely paced dinner. It's great!!“

“Perfect family night out, even with celiac disease. The wait staff were incredible with modifying to accommodate my strict gluten free dining needs. The marinara sauce on the gf pasta was so so good. My family loved their non-gf food, especially the kid-size individual pizza for my little girl. Everyone was so friendly, and there’s nothing better than fine food in an unpretentious setting.“

“Amazing dinner and location! While the setting sun of late September was intense for the start of our meal—the sunset was beautiful and rising full moon was spectacular as well.
Relaxed atmosphere with outstanding food. Two of our party had the ono special which was divine. The ribeye was perfect. And for dessert—try the lilikoi sorbet—-yummy.
Brown’s was very attentive to food allergies which made the visit even better. Our waiter was friendly and attentive as well. Can’t wait to return!
Dietary restrictions: Attentive to food allergens as well as food intolerances. Plenty of ideas for substituting foods one needs to avoid.
Parking: Valet parking is free—just have the ticket validated at the check in stand.
Wheelchair accessibility: Full accessibility givens it’s at a hotel—tons of paths down to the beachside restaurant. Elevator down to ground floor.“

“Our family of 11 adults stopped here to eat after landing at KOA. It was suggested by our AirBnb host as we were on our way to Ninole. The service and the food were outstanding. The view was something out of a magazine. I wish we would have got a ton of pictures but I think we were all ready to eat. We tried a little bit of everything there was to offer and it was all amazing! Thank you from the Forbes Family! Greenville, NC.
Dietary restrictions: We have one person in our group that has a mushroom allergy. Before we could announce that, our waitress asked right away about allergies. They truly cared.“
