“You'll find Emma's tucked alongside three other restaurants. Just ring the bell if no one is in front. The kare-kare is a bit bland but otherwise decent. The Balabok has unique flavor but nothing to write home about. The pork & peas my daughter loved. Thr meat is melt in your mouth. But comes with potato salad and not lettuce salad. The Hawaiian plate also had potato salad. My son liked it but I think the pork needs a bit more smoke flavor. The calamansi is unique but too sugary.“
“I was pleasantly surprised! The shrimp was super fresh we got the coconut shrimp and the dynamite shrimp and it was great! The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and pricing was reasonable compared to other places which cost much more. It’s a quick stop place in the food court but could easily outdo some of the local restaurants we’ve been to in the area for shrimp ??“
“We had a chance to dine here twice during our visit to the Big Island in February 2024. On our first visit, we had great food, drinks, and service. To top it all off, they even provided a wonderful sunset! Although the depth of the menu was rather small, we all found something on the menu we liked. The food was well portioned. Our second meal was just as good as our first, although without the sunset. On a side note, I was very disappointed that the clothing did not come in 3XL.“
“We have always started and ended our vacation with roy's. Why? The staff is consistent, the food - off the chart and it is always a treat to be helped by Arnie's team. They recognize the r&rs (regulars and returns) and you are made to feel like family. Courtney is the bomb...she gets it as do the other bartenders...we love to mix the happy hour menu with full menu. Such good food. We leave thinking we cant wait to return.“
“Delicious food, served quickly and convenient phone menu and ordering. Fun selection of island birds hanging around, if you are a birder or animal lover. Great place to see the rosy cheeked love birds that live on the island. Bottomless coffee would have been nice!“
“My son’s and my food order was excellent. However, the server who assisted us was in my opinion, the worst I’ve ever had. I won’t offer any problems either food but if this young lady waits on you, you can hardly wait to leave! As you might expect, her tip was $0.00.“
“Nice setting, poolside with ocean view. Server was very nice and attentive. Service was excellent, no complaints there. Mahi with macadamia nuts was a disappointing, rubbery small portion and bland seasoning. Vegetables were cooked perfectly, rice fluffy. Wedge salad had very little blue cheese and bacon, adequate size, basic and boring. Price average for resort setting. Food needs to improve to match service.“
“Party of six showing up at prime dinner time. No problem getting seating. The southpaw colada is amazing. A taste sensation. A hula in your mouth. Don't forget to eat the dried lime. So good. The mai Tai is a great way to end you day and begin your night. The keiki enjoyed their burgers. Grandma liked her burger. The vegan curry was stellar. Good amount of spice. The fish tacos are on point. Perfectly cooked to fall apart in your mouth. The mochiko chicken is an interesting take on fired chicken, Korean flair. Also it really says a lot when mangers and owners walk around to make sure dinner is good. I really appreciate when they do that.Dietary restrictions: They do cater to allergies just be sure to tell the waiter of your needs.“
