As we walked in we instantly became comfortable, the decor has a coziness to it, but it's all fresh,clean and new. I loved the chandeliers; the green couches look inviting if we had a wait. Everyone and everything was wonderful. We both had your No Buzz Mocktails; they were delicious! The meal was perfect, the Cesar salad i could have a plate of your house made garlic croutons. “Oh my gosh, I had heard about mama’s fish house for years from my family and from other people. I was finally lucky enough to try it with some of my best girlfriends! It did not disappoint at all. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was just as expected very very delicious! It’s definitely a treat and we enjoyed it thoroughly!!“

“I drove from Paia to S Kihei just to try the fried fish. It's difficult to find fried fish in the island, so I decided to give it a shot, and it was well worth the drive!

Just a tip, most of the photos show an orange food truck, but it's actually white, and it's located on the northwest end of the property, next to the street.“

“Balai Pata is an absolute gem, and absolutely needed on North Shore / Central Maui in what’s otherwise a restaurant abyss of tourist forward formulaic burgers & fish tacos. Part of me wants to keep it a secret, but it deserves way more recognition than it has received. I’m honestly shocked it’s not packed every single night. Their innovative fusion menu is both playful and thoughtful, with fresh, farm-to-table dishes that change often enough to keep every visit exciting. The staff are the sweetest aunties, making us feel like family and doting on our toddler every time we come. Our little one (and the rest of us!) can’t get enough of their malunggay (moringa) handmade garlic noodles. No liquor license yet, so it’s BYOB, which makes for an even more relaxed, homey vibe. Easily one of our favorite spots on the island - and I’m sure it will become one of your favorites too.“

“Garlic shrimp, ribeye steak, and Korean chicken were flavoured so well and cooked perfectly! The shrimp tastes way better than the more famous shrimp trucks. (We also ordered the ahi Katsu, which didn't land on the faves list, but that's a matter of personal preference. It was cooked and flavoured well...I just prefer a seared ahi over a fully cooked one.)

Service was friendly and quick, atmosphere is average...it's a food truck at the edge of the Lowe's parking lot 🙃

“10/10 the blackened seared ahi tuna changed my life. Fish was so fresh and the sear was perfect. The tartar sauce gave it the perfect creaminess. We also got the lobster & shrimp and that was also cooked perfectly. Great location near the airport

“Happened to be walking by, saw how busy it was, and loved the chill vibe so I waited for a table and so glad I did. Staff is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL! Food was outstanding! The breakfast burrito was 10/10! The smash burger is one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long long time. The pancakes were fluffy and full of flavor! Would 110% recommend Cafe Mambo and definitely worth the wait if they don’t have an empty table!“
