“This is what a cafe looks like when the owners have a true passion for what they do and allow the Mana to flow through them. One of the best places to eat on Maui whether you are vegan or not. This was our go-to place for lunch while visiting Kapalua. Fresh, clean, healthy eating. Hope they can keep this place going given the challenging economic environment.“

“Really very good. The wait was not ideal, but the place was small and excellent, so a wait is expected! Service was great, and the food was exceptional and fast.

Only gripe is the salsa was clearly from a bottle and it did downgrade the magnificent burrito and fresh ingredients a bit. :(“

“I am a longtime customer at Naplil Coffee Store and I highly recommend them. Their coffee is superb. They make the best lattes on the island and they have wonderful bakery goods. My favorite is the blueberry muffin and the almond Joy cookies. They also have a wonderful quiche, either bacon or veggie and goes along great with your coffee. They get five stars from me every time.“

Cash only place. Was in between two items and they recommended the chicken katsu. It came with rice and Mac. It was really good and the portion was generous. Their Mac is on the simpler side a little more bland but one can appreciate that. Especially eating something fried and flavorful.“

“My daughters and I went with our friends. It was a group of 9 and we all loved it! We paid for the vip so that we could be front to the show, it was worth it. The food was exquisite. The show itself was excellent even in the rain. I was amazed at the level of love and commitment the dancers had because as the show started the rain did too and it got stronger, but they kept dancing with a smile. Thank you for sharing your culture through dance. I would highly recommend it!“

Server was nice and so were all those assisting but took a long time to get basic drinks like cranberry juice and went long periods of time without water refills. “We just so happened to stumble upon Slappy Cakes while driving by in Maui! We decided to check it out before heading back home from vacation and Slappy Cakes did NOT disappoint!! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was very friendly. Coy was our server and we will never forget how awesome he was!! Not only was he an excellent and very prompt server but he stayed after closing time to finish a conversation with us about the island that left a lasting impact on our hearts. Delicious Food for Everyone The all-you-can-eat buffet was a hit, featuring kalua pork from the traditional imu ceremony, fresh island salads, and kid-friendly options that kept our little ones happy while we enjoyed Hawaiian classics and indulgent desserts. Unlimited cocktails and kid drinks flowed freely, making it easy for the adults to unwind. An Engaging Show The performance was captivating! “This review is not for the restaurant per se but these guys did cater a private luau for 10 for my family at our resort. They were super accommodating and super easy to work with. They created a gorgeous fruit platter, Kalua Pork, Huli Huli Chicken, Poke, Teriyaki Beef, chow fun noodles, grilled veggies, specialty bread and specialty Gelato which was all fabulous! I don't know if the serve any of this at their restaurant but I trust their taste in ...taste! And quality. They were very communicative and arrived right on time and set up a very nice buffet for us. They came in right on budget and also found someone to make us a gorgeous cake. There were lines everywhere because most tourists didn't wish to travel far. Was pleasantly surprised to get a delicious meal at low cost...everything was so fresh. I noted that only 2 people were working the counter...presumably the owners. I watched them serve this enormous crowd diligently and without skipping a beat. Both drinks were great. Appetizer was coconut shrimp. Tender and flavorful. Dinner was Mac crusted ono and mamas Yama meatloaf. Both were on point. Too full for dessert. I felt as if a lot of the staff had worked there a long time. They had confidence and a ease in performing their jobs yet were on top of their game. No slacking. The guy who served our food was picking it up and moving fast to deliver it but took time to explain what we ordered. We will be back!!“

“Roy’s is set on the Ka’anapali golf course. The inside of the restaurant leaves a little to be desired. It’s very basic. Some of the other reviews state it being bright and louder, which I would say is accurate. Feels like a slightly upscale clubhouse restaurant.

That being said, everyone that helped us that evening were very nice and accommodating. They made you feel like you were in a fancy restaurant. Our server, Christina, was fantastic.

The food, including the appetizers and main course, were delicious. Our table enjoyed the calamari, bao buns and beet salad to start. Then we had the butterfish, macadamia crusted catch, which was Mahi, tiger shrimp, ribeye and fish/shrimp duo. We all enjoyed our meals.

As with any of the other “elevated” restaurants on the island, you will want to make a reservation.“
