“Great Food, But Way Too Loud The food and service were both excellent — no complaints there. Unfortunately, the live band playing downstairs was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation and had to keep asking our server to repeat himself. Two nearby tables left because of the noise. If you're hoping for a peaceful early dinner, skip the 4:30 PM time during happy hour music. Great restaurant, but the volume ruined the vibe.“

“Aloha Mixed Plate offers patio and bar side dining. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp and Mahi Mahi. The mixed plate had a very small portion of fish, so if you like it, just order the fish in an entree by itself. The chicken and beef on the mixed plate were okay, but the mac salad had too much mayo for my taste. The Aloha Pie was pretty good too! The ocean views were spectacular, especially since we were there at sunset!
The parking was difficult for this restaurant because the lot was small. We had to park in the shopping center across the street.“

We arrived 20 minutes before they opened and had to wait approximately one hour to be seated. It was impressive how the organized the staff was. If you get the pancakes, get a side of bacon or Portuguese sausage to add a little savory. Our favorite breakfast in Maui!“

“There are a lot of expensive restaurants in the area this was easy to find. Open air. On the beach. Good amount of parking. No fee to park. No, wait during happy hour when I went. Portions were ok. Prices were some of the lowest I found. Under 25 for most meals. Mixed drinks were strong. This is a great place to eat.“

“Been coming here for years. Every single time i visit Maui, i stop by. Okazuyas are the places i enjoy eating at. The moco loco, chicken katsu, macaroni salad and mahi mahi are excellent. Try going here before or after the rush hours during lunch or dinner. The parking lot gets full quick.“

“We just so happened to stumble upon Slappy Cakes while driving by in Maui! We decided to check it out before heading back home from vacation and Slappy Cakes did NOT disappoint!! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was very friendly. Coy was our server and we will never forget how awesome he was!! Not only was he an excellent and very prompt server but he stayed after closing time to finish a conversation with us about the island that left a lasting impact on our hearts. Most would have pushed us out, but not a single staff at Slappy Cakes rushed us out at close so we could enjoy our meal and our experience while also making powerful connections! “Great food order more sushi for 50% during happy hours. Get there between around 4:30 and you should be able to get a table. It’s okay to order more and take it home. The only thing is that all food and drinks there is a mandatory 20% tip that is included.“

“We went for dinner and put our name on this list and went to bar. Ignored and then when others came and sit beside us they were greeted and were assisted asap. Im not one throw race card but it seemed very prevalent...politely left and went next door to Lelani and was treated great and like a valued customer! please do better Hula grill!“

“A bare bones, casual poke shop. You're not coming here so much for the atmosphere, you come here because you want good poke. And they deliver!! I had the spicy Lahaina with salmon and Maui local salad. I really enjoyed it. It was maybe a little bit too much sauce but I think that's the style here for poke - so can't complain.
Admittedly we had the Maui signature bowl yesterday and weren't too impressed - but today was awesome. Would go back.
A friend ordered the fish tacos and they were the most generous, largest sized fish tacos that I've seen.
Also ordered a Maui tea. I chose unsweetened. I'm sure with more sugar it would have been great, but I enjoyed the simple tea flavor.“

“This place is very a very unique and interesting place!! We had breakfast and we’re served by a new server from Cali “ Mati” like us!! And she was not only a sweetheart but fast and one of the only servers doing circles in the whole restaurant and still making sure we we’re doing okay the whole time. The food was great. “We have used this place as our last dinner in Maui for the last 3 years as it never disappoints. The service is always wonderful and the Tiki Bar is one of a kind on the Island. This is a hidden gem that I would be sad to see it become crazy but we would be happy for it as we don't want it to ever close. We have lost too many good food places on the island over the years and to have a consistently delicious local food place to count on visit after visit is priceless. This is not a tourist trap but a local place that may be hard to find but once you do, you may never want to stop visiting. We are looking forward to our next visit next year.“

“We started with cocktails which we amazing. I had mango mojito my husband had the special markers mark whiskey made for Roy's. Not sure about the brand. It had ginger beer too. Both drinks were great. Appetizer was coconut shrimp. Tender and flavorful. Dinner was Mac crusted ono and mamas Yama meatloaf. Both were on point. Too full for dessert. I felt as if a lot of the staff had worked there a long time. They had confidence and a ease in performing their jobs yet were on top of their game. No slacking. The guy who served our food was picking it up and moving fast to deliver it but took time to explain what we ordered. We will be back!!“
