“I was on my way to the sunset views when some locals recommended this place and said it was really good. Since it was so close, I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did!

It was excellent! Honestly, coming from the Ritz-Carlton, I’d say it was just as good. The portions are huge, and they are so generous! My husband and I are absolutely stuffed. 😂

We were overindulged from the moment we sat down at the table with the most beautiful view, surrounded by soothing live music. The care and concern from each and every staff member was evident, making sure that the best possible bottle of wine for our meal was chosen, that our water glass was never too empty, that each plate delivered was well executed and well presented and explained, when done each time dishes were taken away quickly, the pacing of the meal was well done, just everything and everything! Perfection! And a special note to Sasha- we already noted during our meal service- the finesse and skill you brought to the level of service was just outstanding! Kudos to you and to the team that supports you in making sure that each of your tables gets the attention that they deserve! To say that our anniversary dinner was memorable is truly an understatement! And then the Haleakala filet mignon, once again perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned and topped with compound butter that was melted at table side with rosemary. (It feels like we are saying perfect too much! But we do mean it!) Then to end the evening celebration with our chocolate lava cake surrounded by white and milk chocolate fondue with banana bread and fresh fruits was simply scrumptious! “Oh my gosh, I had heard about mama’s fish house for years from my family and from other people. I was finally lucky enough to try it with some of my best girlfriends! It did not disappoint at all. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was just as expected very very delicious! It’s definitely a treat and we enjoyed it thoroughly!!“

“This is the best shaved ice (that I know of) in the world. Although it isn’t shaved ice (its baobing, the Chinese take on shaved ice), the combination of all the toppings and the price point make it truly delicious. Other places for shaved ice in Maui cost $5 per cup, and the cups are minuscule. Here, the share size Sunset baobing costs $13 dollars and six people couldn’t finish it. It came with popping boba, mochi, fresh strawberries, and a surprise of ice cream in the middle. This combination satisfied everyone in the group and filled everyone up for a good price! Best of all, there was no line nor wait, and our baobing came out instantly!“

“Looking for a quick and easy bite to eat, my husband and I ordered takeout from Da Kitchen Maui. We ordered the Kalbi plate and an order of deep fried spam masubi to-go. The service was fast and extremely friendly. We ended up taking our food back to our resort to enjoy in the comfort of our room.

The Kalbi plate and deep fried spam musubi was plenty for the two of us to share and came with tons of rice and Mac salad. The short ribs were tender, and the chicken was moist. I had never tried deep fried spam musubi before, but I was a big fan.

So if you’re looking for a tasty quick bite to eat, I’d recommend Da Kitchen Maui.“

“My Thai Maui was quite literally the BEST food my family and I have ever had. Each dish was packed with so much flavor, love, and sooo fresh. Not only did the food come out so quickly but it was so hot. We loved every single thing we ordered. The family is so kind and helpful, they even gave us extra mango with our mango sticky rice 🥹 I wish we found this place sooner during our stay here because it was so amazing. The restaurant is so unique & has such wonderful decor. We loved it here and when we come back to Maui, this will be our first stop. Definitely GO & support this spectacular family owned restaurant.
