“I'm a bit particular about my coffee and Kraken was one of my favorite coffee places in Kihei other than the green coffee shop which was great too!! The coffee wasn't watery (I find that to be an issue at a lot of places these days) and it was genuinely good!! Nice little spot.“
“OMG I love this place! Everything was delicious! Have a cali burrito and an açaí bowl! The ambiance is so nice and I love the music that is playing- Jimi Hendrix, Bule Oyster Cult, Led Zepplin and BB King. Its such a chill place to relax and have some great eats. The drip coffee was perfect too~ you'll be happy you stopped by!“
“On a recent trip to Maui we walked to this great little shop multiple times throughout our stay. The parmesan bagels were amazing! The coffee and staff were also delightful and it is definitely a spot that will make you want to go back for another visit.“
“We are so glad that they have an offshoot in West Maui now. We used to drive all the way down to their original location in Kihei to enjoy their food. Came here with our family and NO ONE was disappointed. Loco Moco is a hit, fried rice was also well liked. The banana mac pancakes were quite delicious. Some of our family members got a side of catfish and fried jalapeno peppers which they thoroughly enjoyed. The servers were extremely helpful putting together tables to accommodate our large group. I would definitely recommend this place and would return.Kid-friendliness: High chair available“
“We had multiple lattes during our Maui visit. The Honeysuckle and The Roco Java on repeat. First is more subtle, second has a little more punch to it. Last day we had breakfast and wished we had eaten there sooner. Delicious! Avocado Toast and Eggs Benedict. So good! Service was always friendly.“
“I’ve tried their hawaiian coffee in Waikiki and also their matcha latte and loved it; here in Maui i thought i tried different latte ( my usual latte) just regular latte with oat milk and trying out their ube bagel with uber cream cheese and coconut cream. I love my latte and for the ube bagel, it is definitely a different bagel, the ube bagel dont have ube flavor but when you eat it with ube cream cheese and coconut cream it is better. I wishes they make the ube bagel more ube flavor. Well, it just my opinion.“
“I was charging the rental Tesla near this store and was so glad I stopped in. Everything I have ordered has been very good. The chia ball was fantastic. I could eat one everyday. The service was solid and they do a couple tables where I got a bit of work done. I will be back.“
“Im not tell you its groundbreaking new recipies or the best in the world but I am telling you the Ube pancakes are truly the best. Usually the Ube Ive had are just purple pancakes w/overly sweet Ube flavoring. The pancakes are fluffy, and not overly sweet! I also had the Island deluxe. To put it into perspective, this isolated location surprisingly had a deli that has adobo, mushroom chicken breasts, poke, wings, pizza etc..Very friendly staff obviously just pack some patients as its busy during the weekends and tables are hard to come by. Hope you enjoyed this review and this place if you visit.“
“My husband and I were in Maui for our honeymoon a year ago. We found this place and walked to it every single day from our resort. We are still dreaming about and can’t wait for the day we can come back. We haven’t been to any of the other islands, but I really want to just go back to Maui, mostly just for Island Press coffee! Best coffee I have ever had!!“
“After seeing their ads on various social media platforms, I felt we had to stop and see if the coffee was as good as the name implied. It really is pretty good coffee. As for the location, can't get much better than Front Street, Maui, HI!“
“This coffee shop is perfection. My "usual" each day on vacation was an iced coffee w/almond milk and a pump of coconut and macadamia nut. Drinks were consistent each time. I loved the hibiscus mango tea and ube banana bread for the occasional pick me up.I also love to see staff genuinely smiling! ? Thank you for being our little hub during our girl's trip.“
“What a delight to go to this Gelato store. The woman was so friendly and accomodating about helping us chose which gelato to get, from her extensive homemade gelato flavors. There is something for everyone! I highly recommend this creamery. 700 Front Street Lahaina, Maui“
“This is an amazing store with wonderfully unique items that you can’t find elsewhere. Every time I am on the island, I love to visit the store for gifts for others and for myself as well. I highly recommend you stopping by, these are quality products that they sell, and a great variety.“
“The food was good. They were short staffed but you wouldn't have known it. The service was quick and friendly. Our food arrived quickly and it was delicious. The atmosphere is kinda funky. We spent a lot of time looking around at all the oddities in every nook and crany.“
“Food is very good and very local. The ritz has really gone out of their way to include locals businesses. From hiring local florists to produce amazing flowers and plants daily, to providing local authentic Maui products and food. This coffee shop being one.The products are all made locally. Including the egg sandwiches. I normally hate premade breakfast sandwiches. But this one is legit.“
“This is our favorite spot on the Island to get the best, yummy coffee drinks. We make daily stops during our yearly trips, always buy their funny shirts and love taking story with Ms. K (Barista). She is terrific and so is the Gentleman that used to be at the main Lahaina store. If you're in the area, try the cinnamon roll place just down the street. Aloha!“
“I frequented this coffee shop when I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Maui late May. The coffee choices on menu were abundant and each time I tried something different with iced coffee it was always delicious and smooth.Service was excellent with friendly attentive staff that even remade my coffee as I failed to tell them I needed non dairy creamer. One morning I went down and tried the acai bowls and wow were they delicious amd healthy! Only downside was I should have asked how big they were. They were too big for me to finish and my partner and I could have saved money and split one.But the ingredients were fresh and didn’t skimp in the amounts of berries, nuts, or other toppings. Was my first time trying these and was delicious. So convenient having such a nice coffee place with options available right in the resort.“
“Went to this location for the first time today, and wow the employees were so friendly and kind! They were positive and welcoming to each person, and handled busy moments in an upbeat way rather than seeming really stressed or upset (as I usually see in Starbucks at home on the mainland). Their service was quick and excellent, but the cheerfulness of the team really surprised me and made me want to come back to this location.“
“Love this spot! Locally grown coffee from right up the hillside. Dark, Medium and Light roasts available. Packaged to go through the airport. We used a cooler bag to protect the coffee from heat and to travel it through Agricultural Inspection with no problems.“
“I find Starbucks a great place to grab a hot cup of coffee, as well as doing some work on my laptop. When working in the field, I have to file some service reports and I find going to a Starbucks coffee shop to be very convenient for me as far as having a comfortable setting to do my work, as well as get a quick hot cup of coffee to sustain my long day.Today's adventure was in Lahaina, as I was doing some work at a local Federal Credit Union and upon completing my job there, I decided to drive a few blocks down the road to this Starbucks coffee shop.Parking here is plentiful, as it's shared with a Panda Express (don't worry, I didn't go there today, Lol!), & a Walgreens drugs store.I'm not sure if this complex is considered the Lahaina Gateway Shopping Center, but I can tell you just across the street where you can see Ross Dress for Less, the Ace Hardware store, or Foodland, this is where the Lahaina Gateway Shopping Center is.This particular Starbucks coffee shop in Lahaina is rather small in comparison to the other Starbucks I've been to on Maui, but on the bright side, this Starbucks store does have a lot of covered outdoor seating, as well as a automobile drive-thru.I basically just dropped by today to TCOB = "take care of business", as well as drink some hot coffee. Took care of what I needed to do, then I was off again in the field.“
“I am very late to write my review, but given the situation in Maui and the devastation left by the fires, I wanted to take time to review all the wonderful places we visited in August.Royal Scoop is located inside the Royal Lahaina Resort and they serve the best frozen Kona coffee drink which is so satisfying in the summer heat. The ice cream is delicious as well and they service a decent selection of fast breakfast food items as well. This is a must try when you are in Maui.“
“I was here a week before the sad Maui fires and had a fantastic bowl of acai along with a beautifully presented bowl of fruits, with the papaya acting as the bowl. It was fresh and such a great start to the morning. Also tried a nice large mug of latte which didn't disappoint. I hope they can rebound and re-open soon! Mahalo.“
