“Loved everything about this place. Decent amount of room both inside and on the patio for sitting and dining in. Large portions, and it was all delicious. Got a salmon bagel, banana muffin, acai bowl, and a paniolo breakfast. A regular coffee and a double dirty chai. All very tasty, and service was quick and super friendly. And they didn't really need to be since there's not a lot of sit down breakfast options up here. Would definitely visit again next time my family and I are in Maui/upcountry.“
“I love these ladies! They always get it right, and if there are any issues they always graciously assist! I've been taking my daughter since she was 5 and their smoothies are amazing! The coffee is amazing! My favorite coffee place by far, and I moved here from Seattle. ??? Keep it up ladies! You're the Best on Maui!?Kid-friendliness: Always super kid friendly, with a great menu for the kiddos?“
“OVERALL EXPERIENCE: I'd come back for the Lavender Hot Coffee and Service!!! The food was also good!ORDERED:- Lavender Hot Coffee: delicious! not overpowering, and just the right amount of lavender! They also offer free refills (which I thought was really nice!).- Paniolo Breakfast, with Portuguese Sausage: plenty of food and was a good comfort breakfast! I wish they offered a white riceSERVICE: Service was exceptional! The bathrooms are clean and just outside in another building within the complex.PRICE: ~ $20ppPARKING: there is a private lot in the back, as well as street parking. “
“Wandering around Makawao on a Saturday afternoon, we were excited to see this place open. Beautifully decorated space, like an Italian cafe with Hawaiian touches, and such a treat to visit with an owner so passionate about his craft. The hardest part was deciding what to order. I had a lavender vanilla latte, my husband had a regular latte, so so good.Dietary restrictions: Several non dairy milk options.“
“Monkeypod Kitchen was amazing. From the hostesses to the bartenders to the servers, everyone was on their A game. We eat out a lot and service for us is the difference between good and great. The food was amazing as to be expected. But the service was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable. First class.“
“The coffee is fantastic. Smooth and balanced cold brew. The prices are much more reasonable than their two local competitors: Kraken and Lava Java. Their prices for a brewed/iced coffee are easily 30-40% lower than other independent shops. The setting though is idyllic!! BEAUTIFUL garden Courtyard! Absolutely stunning, so relaxing and my absolute favorite.“
“Stopped by after a morning walk on the beach for some coffee. We had a mocha and an americano and both were excellent. It did take a decent amount of time to get them, so don’t be in a rush. The employees were very personable and friendly and I overheard them giving advice for local places to another patron.“
“Drive thru coffee - super convenient location near the airport and on a parking lot with tons of other food truck options. The coffee was really really co! We tried the Mocha Wao and Kihei Kicker, double shot espresso and both were really good and will definitely want another cup again soon. Service was friendly, quick and efficient.“
“I've been coming here since I was a kid. UNREAL flavor and fluffy texture. My fav is the regular cinnamon rolls add macadamia nuts with frosting. There's always a line and now you can preorder for pick up so I recommend that if you can! Here's the line at 6AM when they opened! It was worth it.“
“Stumbled upon this place while looking for coffee during our morning walk. This is such a unique coffee shop in Kihei. They also sell a lot of cute merchandise and their own coffee if you would like to buy it as souvenirs for family and friends.Service was friendly and quick. I got my usual chai latte. Not too sweet or bland. We only stay for a little bit and sat by the windows. Quick easy fix for coffee if you're staying in Kihei.“
“This place is a must visit. We went twice during our week stay and would have gone back if we had more time! The food is delicious and fresh. Everything we had was so good. The people working are very friendly and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed!“
“Great taste of their savory toast sandwich, which is highly recommended. Jain options can be customized on request. Victoria did an excellent job as the host in explaining what options can be made in Jain variety by following up with us over the phone once we had inquired.“
“Stumbled upon this place randomly when searching for coffee in an industrial area. Theirs is tasty and the staff are friendly. The soy latte was good and the (nonalcoholic) Irish cream breve was great if you prefer something creamy and sweet. There’s also local kombucha for the non-caffeine drinkers.“
“Really good and high quality pastries. The croissants are buttery, flakey, and full of layers. The cinnamon bun was really sweet, but so tasty. My only complaint is that, despite best efforts, the ladies working the front counter did not seem very efficient. I felt sorry for the woman running for food because she looked a bit frazzled and barely able to keep up, meanwhile the lady on cash just kept taking order after order. We ordered two pastries and a sandwich (not heated) to go, which seemed to me like the person on cash could have grabbed those and sent us on our way. Instead we stood, watched, and waited for about 15 minutes.Parking: Parking lot is small, but there is public parking along the side street.“
“We tried a pineapple dream smoothie and a paradise smoothie. Both were made from real fruit and no added sugar. Tasted very natural and delicious. Wonderful shaded eating area with very clean bathroom for patrons. We actually stopped there on our Hana Highway drive then came back 2 days later to see the Rainbow trees that we had missed the first time. Very friendly staff. A great place to stop for a treat. Mile maker 5.5.Parking: Plenty of pull in off the road parking.“
“After just arriving from a 7 hour flight, coffee sounded wonderful! This little drive thru stand was conveniently located! It was in a part of Home Depot parking lot that was away from the busy walking area. We were greeted by very friendly staff! When we ordered we were given helpful information about ingredients and how the items are prepared. The fruit smoothie was fresh and delicious! Our mocha lattes were superb! The chocolate did not overpower the coffee. Perfect temperature of the milk! Definitely would return!Wheelchair accessibility: Drive thru location. There are stairs for walking up to the window and that window does not appear to have wheelchair access.“
“The best cookies hands down! And always samples available so that you can get that taste of the Islands. Parking is plentiful and free so be sure to stop in here to take a box home with you. These are hands down, hubby's favorite cookie. I don't mind them either.“
“We live in Haiku and the Magic Oven is our go-to for date night. The food is amazing, the service is incredible, and the ambiance is great. If you're vegan, they have some great options for you. And a must not miss: the lilikoi mousse.Don't miss this spot! The staff is so friendly, we byob, and enjoy. We love bringing our pups too!“
“This establishment possesses considerable appeal, both in terms of its location and ambiance. Upon ordering an espresso, it was noted that the beverage exhibited an acidic profile, lending it a sour flavor, which may suggest it was under-extracted. Additionally, the mocha was found to be somewhat lacking in flavor.“
“I consider myself a bit of a coffee enthusiast (a bean boy, if you will) and after trying a number of coffee spots around Maui, I can say Akamai is without a doubt the best “third wave” coffee I have experienced here. I tend to gauge a coffee shop by its straight espresso, and Akamai doesn’t disappoint. They make a well balanced shot with good acidity and they serve it in an adorable custom demitasse with sparkling water - that’s how you know they aren’t goofing around. Their menu doesn’t have traditional drinks on it - I figure to cater to a broader crowd - but the barista’s eyes light up if you order a cortado or a flat white (both of which were on point), so don’t be afraid to order your favorite drink. This particular shop in Kihei was my favorite - way less crowded than the one in Wailea which had a line of resort goers at the door before opening the day I went. The Kihei shop has immaculate vibes and the entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about their craft. Aside from picturesque sunsets and wonderful endemic birds, Akamai will be what I miss most about Maui when I head home.“

“A great place to hit when starting the road to Hana. Perfect lil shop on the side of the road with lots of drinks and snacks for the long upcoming journey. Was the food amazing? No, but it wasnt terrible, it was good food for the price you were paying for but nothing extravagant.“
“What a great find! The food was fresh and yummy, I enjoyed the juice, and oh my GOD the lilikoi crossaint I had was SO GOOD that I came back the next day and bought all remaining 3 - sorry to anyone who came after me! Thinking about moving to Maui from Oahu just to have easier access to the lilikoi crossaints. Jk. But seriously they were so good. I did seem to get incredibly lucky with the first one, which was loaded with filling, some of the ones that followed didn't have nearly as much, which was a little sad, but I still thoroughly enjoyed!“
“I was so pleased to have a long wait for the bus that led me to wander over to the curious little trolley car. Succulents and enticing scents lured me in. Such a pleasant atmosphere with kind, helpful staff. The espresso was perfect and the muffin was delicious with a bit of healthy (my favorite combo). I how to return someday!“
“Hands down the best coffee I've tasted. They have the most delicious pop tarts. I went not knowing what to get. It was my first time and the lady was absolutely amazing. She was kind, helpful, recommend options, etc. Super down to earth. The truck looks super clean as well! 10/10 recommend checking them out!“
“Don't let this unassuming strip mall coffee shop fool you - it's worth the stop. I wanted a quick breakfast before heading to the airport and I'm so glad Google guided me here! My latte was strong (I can't stand those watered down ones) and my salmon eggs benedict had THE BEST hollandaise I've ever had. I didn't take a picture because I ate so fast! 5/5 hands down.“
“Wow! Cookies are unreal! Every one I try just keeps getting better, can not recommend this place enough!! I’m a Cookie Monster and this place hits it out of the park! I went to the cookie wagon and the Scottish lady who helped my was super nice :)“
“So I wasn't sure what to expect...but was surprised at how good my flat white was!I had her add cinnamon.....honestly it's a simple drink but also really easy to mess up.Stoked at how great it was! Would definitely say try this spot out for coffee and espresso at the walk up on the side!“
“Ice Cream is sooo delicious here you won’t mind the slightly slow service. They had 4 employees working with a super long line. One guy was slowly stocking up the cones (no sense of urgency) while one other guy was trying his best to move the line along as quickly as possible. Props to him but he needed help! They should call an audible when it gets extra busy: keep one person on the register and 3 to service the clientele.Ice Cream I HIGHLY recommend:Mint ChipCoconutOreo Cookie CrunchKaua’i Pie“
“Awesome spot to get açai bowl. We stopped for a snack break after the beach and it was delicious - one of the best açai I’ve had on Hawaii so far. Would recommend the Piña Colada one, too! The chia pudding added something delicious to it. The service was also super friendly.“
“I'm so glad the shops at wailea are so close to the wailea resorts. It's nice to have these non resort options for more casual and reasonably priced food. The açaí bowls at island gourmet coffee were a hit! On a hot day, this really hits the spot. Portions were on smaller side given that avg bowl is $15+ but were delicious nevertheless. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating ont he first level of the outdoor mall. Btw free public wifi.“
“This is the only Krispy Kreme location in the entire state of Hawaii! I'm so happy whenever I come here. Nothing better than hot soft donuts in the tropical breeze. The entire donut making operation is separated by a glass wall, you can see how the dough makes it through the machines to become the donuts. Super cool!“
“A few things to address here based on some of the reviews, as well as our personal experience.First, for whatever reason, it does not show up on a Yelp search, but it is nicely tucked into the lobby of the Wailea Beach Resort.Second, depending upon your experiences with baristas and other coffee shops, including other Starbucks locations, you will appreciate the feel of this location - the interior seating in a very nice air conditioned room, as well as the option for seating in various areas of the lobby.Third, yes it is busy and yet well staffed so that you get in and out (if that is your choice rather than sitting and relaxing there) far more quickly than any other location.Fourth, the staff. These are resort employees, and it shows. They care. They smile. They engage. The serve. Having been to at least 100 different Starbucks locations, this one tops it off. The staff here make the experience great!Try this location...it will become your HAPPY PLACE!“
“The coffee shop is very cute and beautiful. The vegan cinnamon roles were amazing! They also a few other vegan options. The coffee was only ok, they don’t have a real barista and their oat milk is not suitable for coffee (no Barista Oatly but has a sweet very oaty taste).“
“Deanna helped me today whilst we talked about Australia. This location is connected to Foodland so plenty of parking. Centre has USPS and lots of other shops. Only 2 tables inside, I did not see any place to connect a charger and 5 tables just outside. Disappointing but no big deal.“
“We almost didn’t book this luau based upon the bad reviews but I’m so glad we went! This was our first luau and we loved everything from the atmosphere, the food, the location, and the storytelling. We had a great server who kept the food and drinks coming….I lost track of how glasses of champagne she brought me ? We all loved the poke and platter of meat and the variety of desserts. We couldn’t finish all of the food and we are a family of meat eaters! The pre-dinner activities were a nice touch and the sunset view over the ocean was incredible. We paid 1200 for a family of 5, so it wasn’t cheap, but I highly recommend going!“
“Great place to take the kids to learn about bees, agriculture, and just hanging out to suck up the nature and awesome experience. They serve coffee drinks and lots more! Stop by their store to get some in-home, honey, vegetables, avocados, bananas, and a smile... Love, love, love this place!!“
