“Absolute must-try when you're in Maui!

Sol Brothers Southern BBQ, run by the wonderful Saul and Sonya, completely delivered today. We ordered the Brisket plate and the Rib plate and both were outstanding.

The ribs came glazed in a rich, sticky, perfectly balanced BBQ sauce that clung to every bite. Tender, smoky, and messy in the best way. Paired with creamy mac & cheese and a soft Hawaiian roll...pure comfort food.

The brisket was next-level. Beautiful smoke ring, a thick peppery bark, and that perfect pink smoke ring throughout. Sliced nice and thick, super juicy, and packed with flavor. The sides of mac & cheese and baked beans rounded it out perfectly, plus a little cup of their sauce on the side.

Everything was generous, cooked with real care, and tasted like it came from people who genuinely love what they do. Sonia is friendly, welcoming, and clearly proud of their food.

“Tiki's Shaved Ice was probably the best shaved ice we had our entire trip, and that is saying something because we tried A LOT of shaved ice.

You have to come here. The flavors are unique, the texture is perfect, and everything just works together. I especially recommend trying the snow cap, which takes the whole thing to another level.

If you are in the area and craving something cold and refreshing, do yourself a favor and stop here. This was easily one of our favorite shaved ice spots of the trip. 🍧🌺“

“We spent 8 days in Kihei, we started the trip with dinner Kihei Fish House, they were open later (9pm) and it sounded good. We loved it so much we ended our trip with Kihei Fish House. We got the Grilled Mahi-mahi and Jumbo Shrimp tacos BOTH times, they were that good. The only place we ate at twice our entire trip. I'm going to be dreaming about the tacos forever, and probably comparing all future fish tacos to them.
The picture shows only two tacos, but an order comes with three. We couldn't wait to dig in before remembering a picture.“

“Absolutely the best Animal Fries & chicken Caesar wrap I’ve ever had. The fries are better than In & Out, they are crunchy and the sauce and onion are so flavorful, I couldn’t stop eating them! We weren’t disappointed. I had my fill of smoked salmon, ahi poke, bacon, and eggs benny (all buffet so that was a plus). Kiddos had everything and the wife really enjoyed the atmosphere. Not stuffy, great staff (Venus was our server) and the kamaaina was a plus. Coming back again.“
