My wife and I come here every year when we visit Maui. The salads and grain bowls are spectacularly fresh and flavorful. You can’t go wrong getting one of their “signature” bowls (e.g. the ancient grain bowl or the Buddha bowl). Likewise, the sandwiches are delicious as are the soups. They even have kombucha on-tap.

The portions are very generous - we typically save half of our meal for the next day (you can also simply order half portions if you don’t want leftovers).

One suggestion: for people who like spicy food (like us) it would be great if one of the ingredients you offered could be something like jalapeño peppers.

Finally, the staff are very friendly and very helpful. There are so many choices that it can be a bit intimidating initially figuring out what to get, so the friendliness and patience of the staff are greatly appreciated.

“I want to take a moment and express sincere gratitude to the staff at this cafe, great service, quick and yummy. But specifically Pam who went above and beyond providing me with an amazing spread of fruit and chocolate covered strawberries when my sister called to set it up as a surprise. Not only did she do a great job with the presentation but check on me when I came to the cafe for breakfast to be sure everything was alright and continued to greet me like family as did the other staff. Unfortunately I can’t remember the other names, but Pam was awesome.“

“This was our first restaurant in Maui right after getting the rental car, and I can say that it was an amazing start to the trip. Its a small place may be 10 tables to expect wait. The service is prompt and courteous. Food is the star of the show. We ordered the Chicken cutlet, Kumu Shrimp, poke and spam musubi. Everything was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place.“

“I was on my way to the sunset views when some locals recommended this place and said it was really good. Since it was so close, I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did!

It was excellent! Honestly, coming from the Ritz-Carlton, I’d say it was just as good. The portions are huge, and they are so generous! My husband and I are absolutely stuffed. 😂

“I am happy to see this local family get a brick and mortar location. For those of you that are from upcountry. These are the guys that used to do the ono BBQ on the weekends a few years ago. Then they were in Lahaina for a little while then at Foodland Maui Lani. Now they have this place. The food is still great and the value is awesome. These guys really give you bang for your buck. This trip I ordered the BBQ Steak plate and the BBQ chicken Plate. They both come with rice and green salad and their house dressing which I love the taste. I have tried almost everything on the menu with the exception of some of the specials and I can say they have some of the best BBQ plates on the island. I really like their BBQ chicken the flavor is all the way thru the meat. The location is new to them so it is still a little bare but they are working on it. I highly recommend these guys. The service is really good and I really like the fact that I am supporting hard working locals than know how to crank out good food at a good price. I recommend stopping by. The nice thing is you can buy the meat by the pound if you extra hungry.“

“First time eating here. Had the Ancho Seasoned Steak Sandwich. Best sandwich out I’ve had in years and I eat at a lot of sandwich shops and almost never leave reviews, but this place earned it. Thank you for the great dinner ladies!!“

“We recently had our wedding at Gannons and it was AMAZING! We were blown away at how beautiful the ceremony site was (Molikini Lookout) as well as the reception site (Lower Lawn). Gannons was great to work with from the start! If you are looking to get married at Gannons we would HIGHLY recommend upgrading your ceremony site to Molokini Lookout, the view was breathtaking and the pictures do not do it justice!! We are so glad we decided to have our ceremony at Molokini Lookout. We were really happy with all the staff (especially the bartender, he was AWESOME!!). We did have a few hiccups with dinner and dessert. The crab cakes (appetizer) were to DIE for and everyone loved the salads. We were disappointed that the fish that was served along with the filet of beef for dinner was very fishy and not edible. The filet however was delicious. The timing of the meals was also disappointing. The salads were served quickly but the dinner course took quite a long time to come out after. We had guests asking where the dinner was. We also had the same issue with dessert, unfortunately. The dessert was not brought out until after last call was made (over an hour after dinner was finished) and less than 15 minutes before the wedding was over! We had decided to add the "chef selection of desserts" for our guests along with serving cake and unfortunately hardly any of our guest were able to enjoy any dessert since it was served so late. So, if you do decide to get married at Gannons (which we still recommend) we would suggest having a detailed timeline for courses and dessert to avoid what happened to us. Overall, we are very happy with our decision to choose Gannons for our wedding day!“

Comments like this is the Cleanest CFA, kindest…Well I’ve never been to one with rude customer service. Anyhow he suggested I try the Banana pudding milkshake, amazing. “We needed a place late at night to eat before our flight, and this seemed like one of the best options.
The burgers were satisfying. Nothing special, like something you might have at a friend's BBQ, but they're solid. Fries were pretty great and my wife enjoyed her drink quite a bit.

Service was excellent, our waitress Nancy was quick to help and was regularly checking in on us to see if we needed anything.
