Considering the location, pretty reasonable prices on the food. Specials depending on the day. We were staying on KMC on a Friday and Saturday so we had the fish and chips on Friday. On Saturday I had the teriyaki chicken and rice. Food was good!There is no waitress. You place your order at the cashier when you go in and you get a number on your receipt. Most visitors to Volcano Park probably eat at Volcano House. We stumbled upon Crater Rim Cafe, part of military housing midway through our hike. What a find. The place was quiet, food was great. Coffee was the best I’ve had on the big island. Best of all prices were very reasonable. Lunch is only to 1 pm so plan accordingly.Vegetarian options: There was on vegetable option my husband had that he said was good.
