“We found this place on another online platform after going to the Dole Plantation. It is located in a strip mall that looks old and run down so we were skeptical. We located the restaurant in the corner of the lot (next to the Goodwill). We sent a scout in take a look prior lol. The scout gave us the all clear so we entered the restaurant, which was clean and had open tables. We were greeted by a nice man who took the time to get to know us and give us some island history. Ok to the food: There were 4 of us. Each ordered a different entree. 1. Spam hand roll and a tempura hand roll - deliciousness 2. Energy roll- this tasted very fresh and was a roll with eel and avocado on top with eel sauce- deliciousness 3. Ahi poke bento box- came out looking just like the picture on the menu( how many times does that happen!) lots of fresh fish and rolls- deliciousness 4. Tempura shrimp bowl with spicy sauce on top. Tempura shrimp Packed in a bowl on a bed of rice. - deliciousness 5. Spicy ahi poke bowl- came out with tons of fresh ahi covered in spicy mayo and sriracha sauce. - delicious if you like spicy fresh fish. This mom and pop shop deserves your business. The food (all of it) tasted fresh and made with care. I would not write it if it wasn’t true. They will serve you a complimentary miso soup to start ( no spoons here, sip out of cup!) All in all great grub. We will be back!“

“I've never had shabushabu before and it was amazing! So many choices of everything! It's buffet and ridiculously delicious. So much food and so healthy too. Good idea to go for lunch because it's cheaper than dinner. And they were so kind to let me and my friend sit as long as we wanted. The service was wonder. I will definitely be back!“

“I’ve dined in and done take out. They’re usually busy for dinner time and it’s limited seating so come early or you can wait. The staff is friendly and it’s quaint inside.
I like the free miso soup they bring before your food, and there’s plenty of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. The rolls are huge and well worth the price!

“This is a literal hole in the wall, easy to miss in a covered parking lot near the McDonald’s. There’s outdoor seating, pretty much right in the parking lot.

Food quantity is high and the sushi rolls have some of the lowest ratios (in a good way) of rice to non-rice. The fried food was very good, not too greasy with a great crunch and the food tasted very fresh.

Service was exceptionally friendly. The nice man that took our order and served us even brought out some free bottles of water for us.

I love finding places like this that feel like it’s locals, for locals.“

“This is a great little bento shop. It is cash only. It’s also local, don’t look for whole grain rice, fine slabs of ahi, or anything of the like. The fried chicken is great with tasty skin. Generous portions for the price (about $9 as of late 2022)“

The restaurant is fun and you order from your mobile device and the food is delivered via a train system that runs along the tables. I feel the prices are fair and they have the best French fries! “Had lunch here with a bunch of friends today after our Sunday morning meeting - it’s been awhile since my last visit, so when a friend wanted to take me today, I was exited to try it again. It’s been a long time since I had Chicken Katsu, so I decided to order that with all white rice instead of the Mac Salad. The Chicken Katsu was pretty thick and very very juicy. Two others in my group ordered the same, one with gravy, and they both loved theirs saying it was the best one they had. Other friends ordered the Cheeseburger, Fish Tacos, Cesar Salad and Portuguese Bean Soup, saying it was also very good. A friend shared her Artichoke Dip with us saying we just had to try it because the last time she came, her family ordered two. She was right! The Artichoke Dip was the best I had. Delicious! Highly recommend u order that. Another friend ordered the Cuban Sandwich saying it wasn’t too bad, but there was a sauce on it that wasn’t to her liking, but other than that, the service was absolutely amazing, our area was spacious and very clean, which made our gathering more enjoyable. “There was a wonderful koi pond in this restaurant. It was not that busy. However, they seemed shorthanded because I kept looking for the waitress for a take out box. Finally, I had to stand up and ask for one from a man in a red shirt who appeared to be helping another table. The food was good. I especially liked the tempura of pumpkin, and string beans, the shrimp tempura was perfect. I ordered miso Butterfish. My husband liked it, but I did not like that it had a lot of black char on it. I read somewhere that the black Char is carcinogenic.“
