“The birdcage area is absolutely cool and stunning, but the dining experience was just okay - we went there for drinks/light dinner one evening. Our waiter was very friendly, but he forgot our drinks and a meal item. We received 1/3 meal item prior to our drinks and started eating. When we finally caught our waiter’s attention, we asked for the drinks and he admitted he had forgotten to put them in. When the drinks did finally arrive, we were waiting for two other items. When we asked about the food, we learned that one item was coming and the other had also been forgotten. We had almost finished the drink when the remaining food came - overall, not a great experience. We were also shocked that the $28 chicken skewers were literally two 2-inch pieces of chicken and a 2 short pieces of green onions on two 8-inch skewers. That was absolutely insane pricing. We did not return.”

“We loved attending the Luau at Te Au Moana! Located at the end of the hotel property, overlooking the ocean and perfect view of the sunset. The food is served family style and we enjoyed all of the different dishes they offered. The MC was very friendly and engaging in telling the history of Maui and their culture. The show was well curated, engaging and the dancers were phenomenal! The finale with the fire dancers was a highlight. Free parking in the garage of the hotel was appreciated, and it gave us the chance to walk through the lovely hotel resort.”

“We had salmon that was overcooked – small wonder in a Steak House; the New York Strip tasted beefy and juicy as it should, but I could only eat two thirds because of residual tendons. The „Port of Manhattan“ is an inside tip for dessert.”

10 days ago, on our last day of Maui. My brother in law texted my wife asking us to get him HONOLULU COOKIES. Because IT'S THE BEST COOKIES EVER! So we drove to the shops of Wailea and got him his cookies.
We were in love with Honolulu Cookies! I for sure didn't wanna leave. We loved the free samples! It gives you an idea of what you're buying. ALL COOKIES WERE DELICIOUS. Their limited edition Jasmine cookie was surprisingly DELICIOUS. I wished I bought more!

“Overall we had a great experience. We booked the feast primarily to enjoy the show, and the show was exceptional! As for the food, we appreciated that we got to try a variety of different foods. Not every item was a hit for us, but we really enjoyed the grilled pineapple and the roasted pig. We enjoyed the more intimate crowd compared to larger shows and the bar made great cocktails.”

“Popped in here early afternoon for a Bloody Mary, as the BumBye was closed for renovation. Nice, quiet spot to enjoy ocean views and have a few drinks. Bartenders were friendly and drinks were good.”

“We attended on a Friday evening in October and had an excellent experience. It’s definitely a splurge, but worth it.

Arrival: You can check-in near the front desk of the hotel or down by the actual show. Our table was pre-assigned, so there was no need to line up before the doors opened at 5:15 for the 6PM show. Upon arrival, they gave us each a nut lei and a mai tai. Ahead of showtime, there was a local vendors market, free lawn games, and a professional photographer - latter was $50.

Seating: We opted for the premium seating, which is more expensive, but worth it from our perspective. You’re closer to the stage (first two rows). The tables were also pre-assigned, so we didn’t have to arrive early to line up.

Food: There are four courses: chip/dip, salad/bread, entree, and dessert. There’s also an open bar with a wide assortment of cocktails and non-alcoholic options. The food was decent quality - a bit bland in some cases, which isn’t unexpected in these types of situations when you have to appeal to a broad demographic, particularly those less inclined toward any kick of spice or anything too deviant from the norm. The quantity was massive - there was far more than we could eat and we ended up leaving at least half of what was delivered to the table. The waiter was very accommodating of a food allergy, which was appreciated.

Entertainment: The show was good - there were about 8 or so acts spanning nearly 2 hours. The fire thrower at the end was most impressive.

Cost: It’s pricey - nearly $900 total for 2 premium seats. But everything in Hawaii is expensive and this is the Waldorf Astoria, so as to be expected.

Atmosphere: the show was in the large green lawn next to the beach. The show starts right around sunset, which allows for excellent pictures. The sun is to your back while watching the show, so no glare.”

“The owner was very friendly. Steve made sure that we felt at home. He is very personable. Steve took our order then joined us on the other side of the counter to chat with us about our time in Hawaii. He even gave us other recommendations for food. Drinks were also very good. I got the Rose Green tea and so far, it's the best I've had! If I had more time here, I would definitely come back. Steve said he is opening a location in Cerritos, CA called Cali Tea this summer. He opens the time I visit family, so I will definitely be paying him a visit!”

“To say that the food, service and Atmosphere was 5 stars is and understatement. Our server Michael and his team were just exceptional. This is the epitome of what you expect when you go to Waldorf Astoria.

As a native Newyorker I can tell you that not only did you uphold the Waldorf Astoria reputation but you exceeded it which I thought was hard to do.

Now to the important stuff, the food was absolutely amazing. We started with the Venison Lumpia and Ahi Agua Chile which was as classic as you can ask for. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel but kept to the classic chili water and then embellished with perfect accompaniments.

My wife had the Scallops which were cooked to perfection. I had the Snapper with each layer there was another surprise, just simply delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were velvety smooth and perfectly seasoned, just enough salt without being salty.”

The only thing we could ding is an unflattering pairing, but they have a decent enough selection of half bottles and btg that you could make your own (which is what we did).

“We had reservations because it’s highly recommended as it’s a gem of a place and were greeted kindly - hostess asked us if we have even been to Maui Wine and showed us where the restrooms were- we didn’t even ask so I thought that was so kind of her. Every single staff member came to our table asking how everything was and if we needed anything, cleared empty dishes ect. - Explained the types of wine and our food selections for us and we left with some wine and jelly 🥰 It was an amazing experience!
