“We were out at an outdoor event in Des Moines. I took notice of an ice cream truck that was not familiar to me. Plenty of flavors to choose from and I was served promptly and with a smile. I could not believe that I could get the same homemade , creamery taste from a food truck ! It was amazing and my only regret is that I shared mine . Best I have had in Iowa and worth every penny , especially on a hot Iowa day!“

“This place is the best i honestly can’t believe ive never heard of this place before, my car broke down on the side of the road due to a popped tire, this girl with glasses waiting outside to clock in walked out of her own car to lend me a hand and completely changed my tire on her own in return i offered her 80 bucks but she said no and it was just a kind gesture i went inside got a couple of snacks for my nicks and the food is just so amazing they can’t stop eating it.“

“Friends and I were out on a road trip and stopped in Indianola for some ice cream. The staff was OUTSTANDING and helpful. The ice cream was excellent. The store reminded us of stores at the time we grew up! A must stop when you are in the area!“

“Cute icecream shop with so many options! The icecream sandwhich with your choice of cookie and icecream was a hit with the kids! The strawberry lemonade sorbet was AMAZING!! Friendly staff, inviting family environment and amazing treats for the entire family! 10/10“

“Today I stopped in with my 8th grade softball team. I think it was Taylor (one of my girls thought she read that) she was working by herself and she did absolutely amazing! She took care of all 17 girls and 2 coaches. She was very polite and calm. That many orders she handled it very well. It’s always fun to stop by after playing and get a nice cold treat! :)“

“I've been wanting ice cream and one day we just turned into DQ & drove up to the window.Didn't even see the microphone area to order, up to the window we went. Were able to order 2 Med. Blizzard's ...Awww, just sweet delight ?“

“This is in a predominately Latino strip mall so a lot of the staff don't speak much English but I can usually get by on hand gestures. The paletas (popsicles) are really good here! I usually get the "fresa con crema" which is strawberries and cream. They also do a lot of other novelty foods which I haven't tried yet, but they seem very popular! They also have hand-scooped ice cream but I'm not sure if it's made in-house or not. Apparently, that was very good and creamy!“

“The inside is beautiful, with plants and how the tables are arranged. They even have a little area where board games were located.
I got the gelato three scoops regular strawberry and green tea. The strawberry was a bit sour but the... ????? ???!!!? was soooooo smooth(that I forgot Im lactose intolerant) having both helped balance it out. 10/10 recommend ?“

“We live on the north side of Des Moines & this is the ONLY Dairy Queen we go too. Altoona & Ankeny both don't come close to comparing to this one. We went again today & everything was perfect. Hot food and friendly employees, don't get any better then that. Thanks to everyone who works here & the Owner. GOOD JOB😁“

“Nostalgic Atmosphere ... this place has been family owned for 40+ years and continues to have quality food.. still the best ever fries.. the mushroom Swiss best... do them a favor and like and share little johns burgers and icecream... Now LJ's Burgers & Ice Cream! we want local businesses to survive so share and stop in for tasty meals!“

“The kids that work there are Amazing, polite and very professional at their job. My last visit I had the pleasure of having the BESTEST shake flavor combo ever... Peanut Butter & Fruity Pebbles.. OMG 10/10 on every level!! It'll be my scheduled stop Everytime I go to Des Moines!“
