They accommodated my requests and the gentlemen, two asian men, did an excellent job in taking my order and taking care of my dinner. “Not from Iowa, visited the area. I am a huge orange chicken fan and let me tell you - this place has FANTASTIC orange chicken.

Cost was about $17, but that was chicken, rice, soup and an egg roll - so well worth the total package.

The owner was nice at the register and helpful. The to go packaging included some cardboard at the bottom of the bag to keep it all level/stable - incredible, I loved that.

If you collect 10 of their little cardboard sleeves you get a free meal so that would be helpful if youre a local. I'd give this place a 6 out of 5 if google let me.“

“Cool Basil has been a long time favorite of my wife and I. We hadn’t been there in a while when we stopped in for lunch today. The atmosphere was noticeably different. They were playing a funky smooth jazz music where every song sounded the same. I liked the previous light/classic rock mix much better. The staff seems to have completely changed since we were last in. We didn’t recognize anyone, whereas we were on a first name basis with much of the previous staff. The service was noticeably slower and less friendly. The food was still very good. I ordered my usual spice level 2 and it was very, very hot. Much hotter than it used to be. I’m just wondering if they are under new ownership or management because it is a very different experience from a year ago. I still recommend Cool Basil, it’s just not the familiar place that we loved anymore.“

“We don’t usually pick chain restaurants but this one is an exception. Great food, service, atmosphere & location. We come here every time we come to Des Moines shopping. Never disappoints! Pictured is the lettuce wraps. My favorite dish! Served as an appetizer but enough food to make it a meal.“

“While I don't know how long Asian Cuisine has been open in Grimes, it has the small-town feel Grimes used to have. It's in one of what has to be the first shopping strips in town and I don't want the outer facade to hinder your decision to dine in! The restaurant was clean, service was fast and friendly, and the cost for lunch was exactly where I like it to be (under $10). And the main reason to go is because the food is delicious. I will be going back!

“Wongs chopsticks has the best food that I've had in years, I travel clear from Lincoln ne, just for there food its a 31/2 hours drive one way just to eat there everytime its wonderful it does not matter what dish you order it delicious, hats off to the cook he is awesome! Cheers to Wong!“
