“There we were, 5:30am, Des Moines. My buddy and I were 16 hours into our drive, and in desperate need for a meal. We saw McDonald’s opened at 5:00, and thought ‘Hey, why not?’ In our latest hour of desperation, we ordered sandwiches and coffees. We were met with delicious food, and wonderful service. We were kindly offered more coffee, but we were so stuffed, we had to decline. What a wonderful way to start the day at the Des Moines McD.“
“Howdy just rolled thru had a great experience. The food was soso, not hot but it’s McDonalds so obviously we weren’t expecting 5 star shit…that is till customer service legend, Connor, who is the actual real MVP of the Fleur Drive McDonald’s, rolled through and made everything awesome so somebody oughta at least give him an atta a boy, if not a raise or a bonus.“
“I came in with my girlfriend and made an order at the kiosk.
Debra kindly greeted us with a smile and asked us if we needed any help.
She was very polite and well mannered. It was so nice to see a smile and a genuine greeting.
The floors and tables were clean, the music was friendly and inviting. The food took only a few minutes to be prepared and was still warm in the bag.
The sweet tea was on point!!!
This whole review is for Debra though, she made my day and should be recognized for her efforts in that encounter. As a fellow foodservice worker it was a pleasure to see someone who really cares about what they do.

“Don’t understand why this specific McDonald’s has such a low rating! When I went the service was great. The staff helped me with my order and made sure when the kiosk didn’t print a receipt to get me one. Gave this a 4 out of 5 because it took quite a while to get my food but I do understand I went right when school let out and a ton of kids were there. Overall great experience“
“Very, very busy location. Lines are long. Very fast and quick service, though. Sometimes the orders are wrong. The quality of the McDonald's food, though, is better than the other ones nearby. Employees here work hard and are managed well. Clean place, clean bathrooms. It's a mcdonalds. All in all, a good McDonald's location imo.“
“Whoever the dreaded man was working the second window at this McDonalds at 12:35 pm on Saturday, January 6th should at minimum be general manager if not working in corporate office. He brought something to McDonald’s that I would never expect 1 a fast food chain 2 let alone a McDonald’s and that is hospitality. He was so kind and asked great questions and then asked if we tried the new drinks, we said no and he grabbed us a small blueberry drink, and it tasted like something from Starbucks. Our food was also solid, but it’s random employees like this that make us want to go to a place over and over again.“
“Did an app order. atmosphere outside was fine. The employees at this restaurant are always super nice been going there for about 3 years now.
Parking: This place is in a great location. Always plenty of parking and the lot and trash are always picked up and clean. Make sure to recognize this particular location.“
“This is my go-to McDonald's when I'm feeling a fast breakfast. The staff is always super friendly and the service is quick. I think the most I've waited in the drive thru is a couple minutes when they were clearly busier than usual.“
“I just wanted to share my appreciation for shane working at the 3610 mere hay road location. I had a long wait for my food because of a little mix up and while I was waiting I watched shane treat each customer with respect and apologize for the waits. He was trying to attend to everyone and make sure everything was right. I could tell they were understaffed or just super busy, either way shane was doing great under the pressure. Please give him some recognition or a raise!“
“Went to McDonald's on Saturday the 21st of July ordered to sandwich to meals both of them or incorrect but they were correct on the box but they were food was incorrect called McDonald's and told him that I'd bring him that I would be back for the correct meal this is probably the 99th time it's happened play should be closed down and cleaned and proper help hired preferably people that I understand food sorry this happened to me again but sucks to be me maybe someday we'll be a real Pam burger place on the southside of Des Moines“
“I wanted to leave a review because one employee provided excellent customer service and was clearly working very hard despite not feeling well. She was friendly, attentive, and did a great job taking care of customers.
However, I was concerned that she appeared visibly sick while handling food and interacting with guests. My concern is not with the employee herself—she was doing her best—but rather with the decision to have her continue working in that condition.
I would appreciate clarification on the company’s policies regarding employees who are ill, especially when food handling is involved. Employee health and food safety are important for both staff and customers. I hope management ensures team members are supported and encouraged to stay home when they are sick.

“This location is pleasantly updated with a smaller play place that included a gaming table, a light up table and just a space for play without climbing apparatus'. We ordered our food on the app for table delivery and it was SO FAST! I don't think we've ever received our food in such a timely manner. They're doing something right at this location. Thank you!“
