Tried them again after getting a raw pizza from the place across the street. Seems that they've gotten some folks hired. “I’m Chicago born and raised, so yeah—I don’t play about my pizza. Deep dish, tavern-style, Sicilian… I love it all. So when my friends kept talking up Smash Pizza, we decided to try it for Mother’s Day. It’s a cute, smaller spot, so just know you might have to wait or do takeout. But the staff made it worth it—our waitress (purple ponytail, wish I caught her name!) was so warm and helpful with recommendations. We started with the bread plate, and listen…that alone was a win. Fresh bread, olive oil, butter, burrata—honestly didn’t even need the extras, it was that good. Now the pizza. I was a little skeptical because Chicago folks know—we like our crust thin with a little crunch. But we went with their Sicilian style and I’m so glad we did. That crust? Light, airy, crispy…nothing like that chain pizza pan crust. Just done right. We got the Queen, and my son tried the mushroom and fried kale. I don’t even like mushrooms, but that fried kale? So good—crispy, flavorful, perfect texture. Everything tasted fresh. Like, really fresh. Hell, even the water tasted fresh, lbs! All in all, this place is legit. I haven’t had pizza like that in a long time—it really reminded me of home. If you’re thinking about going, just go. It’s worth it.“

“Tried the pizza first time about 2 months ago, it's definitely different than anyone else's and it tastes so good, a little lite on toppings but it's full of flavor and prices are reasonable. Crust and sauce have amazing taste.“

(I thought the dough would rise) We called and talked to them they said bring it back and gave us a new one, also told us to pick 2 sides from the case. Great customer service.“

We don't get to have it as often now that we're farther away, but it's always a treat when we do. “This place opens up at 2pm but must have opened on the day I visited since there were already about 20 people in the brewery when I showed up at 2pm for the FIFA World Cup semi final match. This brewery has more beers on tap than the two brewerys near it (Stompbox and Front Street). This brewery also has food but I didnt order any to comment on it. The strawberry gose was the best beer I tried. Wonderful service by the bartender and I would definitely revisit based on the service and sports viewing provided.“

We quickly realized we may have waited too long and couldn’t find anywhere taking reservations or walk ins. We came across antonellas and waited for them to open. I’m so glad we did! I’m not sure if we would’ve enjoyed anywhere else quite as much. They were short staffed and still delivered us a perfect meal from the wine to the pasta. Friendly faces, personable service, and excellent Sicilian cuisine. Thanks for making our valentines special! We will be back!“

“Bettendorf is our halfway stop to home and we were looking for a good pizza. We found Harris and ordered on the road. Food was done exactly when promised. There was a slight mess up on order but staff quickly remedied it and more than made up for it. We will definitely get pizza here again. Food was perfect!“

“I really like the product but not the store on 53rd in Davenport. Iowa. The manager assured me it would take 8-9 mins to make my order and he would bring it out to my car right outside their door. I was the only order being made at 1:12 pm. I went in at 12 mins and the manager said it would be another couple mins with no explanation and he promised to bring my order out to my car. At 22 mins I went back in and no one else had placed an order in all that time. The manager would not even come out to talk to me. He made a young man in the back come out and finally give me my order. No apology or explanation given. I will drive to another location next time.“

“Huge shout out to Happy Joe's Pizza & Jungle Bungle - W. 50th took my kiddos here tonight for the first time and had a blast. Staff was off the charts helpful and entertaining. The "Jungle" is massive and the slides are crazy. My 2 and 4 year olds freaked out when they walked in. Pizzas(2 large) were fire and the cheese sticks (we got the large order as well) all the food fed 2 adults, a 9 year old and my littles with plenty of left overs for the late night snack fest. Making this a trip at least a couple times a month from now on when we wanna unwind locally. 100% recommended this for anyone with hyper kiddos.“

The pizza and cheesy bread (delivery) were hot, fresh, and nicely presented. The driver (a tall guy with lots of braids and a big smile) was great--I figured I would have to go to the front desk at the hotel but he brought it directly to my room. This whole experience was positive, fast, and fairly priced. Kudos to this whole team!“
