“Perfect small town "dive bar" where everyone is super friendly whether you want to have a quiet night cap on the way home or if you feel like chatting up everyone in the place. We're not there often enough to be what I would call "regulars" yet each visit almost feels like we are. If they had a wee bit of a "bar food" menu is give them 6 stars.“

“A friend who I had shared with that, I had the best bar pizza in my life told that Behar Bar also served this particular pizza as well I jumped at the chance. As it turned out they were out of the supreme Pizza that I wanted. At first I was kind of bummed out but then they told me about their other specials I figured I'm already here so I might as well order. I ended up having a good Time. The place has darts to play, video poker and a bar that is stacked. The Bartender was friendly and her suggestions were on point.“

“Octopus is a bit of an institution: following in the footsteps of places like Steb's and Pour Richards. Dave is a huge supporter of local and regional musical artists of all shapes and sizes. There's always a cheap beer for those with just a few bucks in their pocket; and plenty of crafts for a few bucks more. They recently expanded their space adding some food items in the process. Popcorn is always available for those with munchies. Lots of regulars for sure. Guests should feel welcome. If you don't bump into a friend...you can quickly make one at the bar. “Enjoyed my first visit to Berk's. We were there in the late afternoon and it was mostly an older crowd like ourselves. I understand that late in the evening it gets more lively with the college students. It was very pleasant, the bartender was friendly, the environment was peaceful at that time of day. The other bar patrons were friendly. They have comfortable upholstered bar stools as well as table seating. There are bags of snacks that you can buy.“

“Normally our time goes well when we go to Brass Tap in Cedar Falls. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience on our most recent visit, Friday June 7th, 7:00pm. We went for dinner fully expecting it to be busy, which was fine. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes, while the lead bartender lady and trainee COMPLETELY IGNORED US. The bar was dirty, and needed wiped down. A nice waiter finally came, asked us what we wanted to drink, and gave us food menus. Unfortunately he did not return to take our orders. I did look at the menu for a while, but still come back to check on us. We are now 30 minutes into our experience, and the bartender, along with the girl she is failing to train behind the bar, still have not said a thing to us. My boyfriend asks the women if we can order, and the lead bartender walked away, didn't say a word, and left the trainee to fend for herself. It was very clear she needed help. We eventually got our food order in. The food came out fast for how many people were there. It was cooked well, and we took home what was left over. I had to ask for our silverware, napkins, refill, and check. Not once did the lead bartender talk to us. Not once did we get checked on. We asked for everything we needed. Just crazy how she could talk to everyone around us, but not us. Not a word. The trainee was super nice, but it was very clear no one was training her. We will be back, because my boyfriend loves that place. We will NOT be at the bar, and really hope the service is better next time.“

This is the bar to go to if you're wanting a chill night with a few buddies. You will find people of all ages at this bar UNLIKE its next door neighbor Sharky's. Also, you can write on the wall and literally leave your own "mark" on the bar! How fun!“

“It’s old and it can be depressing but the people are nice and most have calluses on their hands from the blue collar job they retired from. Friday nights and every other Wednesday is karaoke and it’s actually a very good time. Brenda has worked here for 30 years and now is the proprietor of the place. She’s doing a little work here and there to spiffy up the place. The hey day of folks cocktailing here and the phone ringing saying your table is ready at the Hickory House may be over but Brenda is doing it right in a part of town that doesn’t get much love.“

“I love this bar. It's got a Great Jukebox, several pool tables, a heated outdoor smoking area for the less pleasant times of the Iowan Weather. Great Prices on Domestic Cans and Bottled Beers. Plus what you'd expect to pay for mixed drinks, with a good pour!! And my personal favorite about BJ's is that I can go have a relaxing drink in complete anonymity, which is worth paying a nonexistent cover charge for. Any time I want to have a couple drinks and not be bothered by anyone in the place. Let alone some drunk who thinks he remembers me from somewhere else a long time ago. For ME, it's the opposite of Cheers, where I can go, and no one knows my name. And for that, I tip very well.Took my daughter in tonight, something I never thought I would do in my lifetime. “Whenever we are in Cedar Falls, we always make sure to stop at the Landmark. The friendly atmosphere will warm your soul, or maybe that's just the good brews that the incredible staff serves. Inside, there is plenty of seating at the bar or at high top tables. Play some tunes, Buck Hunter, or darts! Outside, the patio has several tables to enjoy your favorite sport on TV or you play giant Jenga! Definitely a place I recommend everyone to check out!“

“This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks we have been to Chad's Pizza. This is the absolute best Pizza & food in the Cedar Valley area. Alex answered the phone & took our take out order. We ordered or favorites, a Chad's Special & Crab Rangoon Pizzas. I went to order the Barrel Tots as an appetizer but the we out. I also asked if we could get a gallon of lemonade he said no proble. I drove 30 minutes from Jesup Iowa to pick up or order. When I got there, Alex had the order ready. Since they were out of the Tots Appetizer, Alex sent us home with their Broasted Chicken. It was Amazing just like the pizzas. Alex as had a gallon of lemonade as well that he went down to Kwik Star & got for us! That is True customer service. Going above & beyond for us. He also let me borrow a Pizza Bag to take everything home so it stayed hot & fresh. Our hats are off to Chad's Pizza & especially Alex for the most Amazing service & the Absolute BEST food! We will go no place else ever for Pizza & Appetizers. Alex, Thanks Very Much for all you do for us & Chad's Pizza!!
