“I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! It appears they have their do no recommend set so that your post cannot publish. Called this morning to let the staff know we were going with a group of 12 and they said that would not be a problem. In an hour our group received water and a drink order placed but never got it. The same server continued to wait on other tables, make drinks for other tables and made no effort or hurry to make ours or come back to take our order. In addition, the bartender continued to walk around and socialize rather than makes drinks. We even wrote down our whole order and patiently waited for her to come back to make it easy for her. This is the second that we have attempted to come to your establishment with the same results.“

“Pam and I met with my Class of 1968 at the Boulder Tap House in Ankeny Thursday for our monthly luncheon. This restaurant is pretty new and we've been wanting to try it out and lucky for us my class of 1968 chose it.
I ordered a Cuban Sandwich which featured sliced ham, pork carnitas, Swiss cheese, red cabbage,
sliced pickles and Dijonnaise served on a pressed
ciabatta loaf. For my side I picked a cup of Black Bean Chili, topped with shredded cheese. Both were clear off the charts delicious.
Pam ordered a Bacon Boulder Smash Burger which features
two smashed 4oz Angus burger patties,
2 slices of American cheese, pecan smoked
bacon, Pabst onions, Alabama white sauce and
butter leaf lettuce, tomato and pickles. Served
on a toasted bun. I didn't have a chance to try a bite but she was exceedingly pleased with her pick, neither one of us left remotely hungry. Our server did an amazing job, despite the fact we were a large group, our orderers were quickly taken and arrived at our table promptly.
Pam and I will for sure be returning next time we're in Ankeny and hungry, lots of really good tasty entrees to try.“

“I was in town for business and met a friend here. The staff recommended plenty of good options but I ended up with the Pork Tenderloin sandwich. It did not disappoint. It was a nice change from the usual lettuce and tomato and instead having the slaw with the pickled onion and jalapeno! I'll visit again next time I am in town!“

“Love the bar, free pool on Sundays, weekly specials, and friendly bartender. The reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is because the dj sucks. He takes a lot of smoke break, his mic smells like stale cigarettes, he sings the longest songs taking away time from the customers that are there to sing, and his equipment needs better sound quality. It drowns out the singer. So other than needing a new dj I say it’s a great place to visit!“

“This is a great place to go if you like watching sports. The crowds can be lively and enthusiastic when watching the games, but thankfully not unruly or out of control. The menu has a variety of good burger, pizza, and appetizer options. Our server was polite.“

“Sure, it's a strip mall bar that's pretty much a dive, but I love it. Staff is surprisingly attentive and polite for how busy it can get and I've never had much of an issue with the clientele. Love coming hear to watch Hawkeye, Cyclone or Cubs games. Insanely low prices also. One of my favorite bars in the city.“

“Well come in un knowing and got brave and ordered the oysters on the half shell. So wonderful to get such high quality in DSM. So bruschetta was out of this word my wife had the chicken biscuit. Fantastic So I was brave again. Shrimp and grits. The seasoning and cook on the shrimp. So so good. Service was fantastic even though I had lots of questions Didn’t always know but found out very quickly. Very happy to have such a fantastic place to enjoy in town. EVERYONE should try it out!!!!“

Buffalo chicken Rangoon = fire! Amazing flavor/texture. Was perfect.
My wife had the pork tenderloin sandwich with macaroni (& cheese) and loved it.
My main was the surf and turf rice bowl and I have to say it is the best rice bowl I’ve had in a very long time, even from places much more expensive. No joke - this place exceeded all expectations and the food was perfect, from flavors to textures, the unique blends weren’t over the top, and were perfectly executed. Seriously, amazing food. Nice staff up front too and the place inside looks incredibly nice. Will be back to eat in when I have more time.“

Big selection of beers and menu was also great looking with plenty to choose from.
I took the Mexican Philly chicken cheese and it was almost to big to eat. Tasty and homemade kettle chips.
Definitely would stop back if in town.“
