“Channing Lynn Owens is a fantastic bartender. She is so attentive and caring. She converses with her customers but doesn’t overwhelm them. Anytime I’m close to an empty, she has a fresh one ready. She is what drew me to this bar and the person that keeps me coming back. Love her and this bar ♥️”
“I have been going to the Road Hog since I was a little girl. I hadn't been there in years until last month. Still had the same great feel of your small town biker bar. Was glad to see that the burnout marks were still on the floors. The staff was awesome!”
“Haverhill is unique in many ways. The food is fantastic, above "bar food". You get what you pay for. Small Town Iowa doing big business. One downfall is going to the bar to order drinks and food the prices are more and one has to wait themselves .The staff doesn't seem to be happy. Not many smiles.”
“Not bad for a little hole-in-the-wall place in Baxter, Iowa. I was participating in a bike ride through the town and don't know if the food and menu were representative of their usual fare (burgers, dogs, and fries), but it fit the bill that day. There's a very nice patio just outside. The inside is small and cozy. Not bad at all.”
“We stopped in here for lunch with a large group. They have a very small staff (2, maybe 3 employees). They were friendly an very organized as they took out orders a few at a time and worked quickly to prepare our meals. I had a grilled pork tenderloin sandwich and onion rings. The tenderloin was very good. It was prepared about an inch thick, not hammered to hubcap size. Onions rings were the beer batter style.”

“Close your eyes and imagine a small town bar… ? That is this place, complete with the friendly patrons that stare at you and eventually ask we’re you’re from. That’s why 5 ⭐️’s.”
