“Sidekick Coffee and Books is one of my favorite places in the world. I have been coming since they opened, and as time goes on, it just gets better and better. The coffee is the BEST. My favorite drinks are the iced Winnie the Pooh latte and the smoked salt maple latte. The food is also delicious, my favorites being the quiche and the cinnamon rolls. The staff is so kind and helpful. The atmosphere in Sidekick is extremely cozy. They have a great selection of books, toys, games, puzzles, and other gift items. It's a great place to find a perfect gift, and they wrap for free! The events are another one of my favorite things about Sidekick. They have several book clubs, author events, storytimes, trivia and more. My kids (ages 8 and 3) also love Sidekick. It's a fantastic place to bring your kids. They have ice cream, a train table, and fun cubbies to read in! I also highly recommend the summer camps. My daughter did 2 last year, and will be doing them again this summer! Katy and the staff and her staff make Sidekick a place you will want to come back to again and again.“

“Convenient for travel between Coralville and North Liberty. Other than that, I wouldn't go here to just chill. Everything is just average for Starbucks. Serves coffee like all other Starbucks. It's not built for the hospital traffic it's about to receive. Riverside Drive location in Iowa City remains king of the area, this is probably my second favorite location.

Parking: Good for now, when the hospital and apartments are completed it will be a nightmare.“

“On Wednesday afternoon, 03/04/2026, some guy tried to drive through Scooter’s in a big pickup truck, pulling a U-Haul trailer. Of course, it was obvious to everyone but him that this was NOT a good idea. Scooter’s traffic was backed up. Two employees did a FABULOUS job of taking care of customers as the driver of the pickup and his passenger unhooked the U-Haul and got out of the way. Those girls!!!!! One was outside taking orders, running inside and getting them from the barista. Then they delivered them to each customer. The customers had to back out of the driveway since they couldn’t get out the drive-through. It was a sight to see! Kudos to those girls for successfully taking on a challenge that was totally unavoidable and out of their control.“

“I love Scooter’s Coffee!! Very friendly staff who seem like they like their job and want to help me! I only used the drive thru, but the property was very clean. There was no one else in the drive thru and they still had my drink prepared once I got to the window. They’re so quick! I got an iced latte with oat milk and almond syrup, and it was made exactly as ordered. It’s so good!! The best caffeine fix.

“An Iowa City institution. Coffee and pastries are on point. Usually have been pretty good at fulfilling online orders for pickup. Finding a place to sit can be tough sometimes, but if you get one, you can stay and study for a while. I just wish they still stayed open at night. It used to be a great place to hang or study at night.“

“There are some great young staff members at this location. The only thing that I would recommend is that they not close up too early. I showed up around 7:15PM on a Monday and they closed at 8:00. I asked for a drink and a couple of pumpkin loaves warmed. The girl proceeded to tell me that she had already cleaned and shut down the microwave so basically I was out of luck. Lol, she was young and likely inexperienced so I don’t really blame her but it’s not good customer service. Outside of that, they are usually pretty good.“

I spent a lot of time there while it was Capanna and loved it but I have to say, the changes they have made since it has become Midnight Coffee is my absolute favorite. From the great coffee, to the partnering with local pastry shops, to the new interior design, and the new Merch…..the VIBE is immaculate as people younger than me would say. Highly recommended making Midnight Coffee your new coffee spot in North Liberty and the Corridor region. They have other locations in Iowa city and tiffin as well I believe.“

The drive thru can take WAY too long as it's busy almost everytime I go (unless it's like 5am) but doing PU in store has helped and staff has always been friendly!“

“Something that I appreciate about Starbucks is the consistency. This cafe is another example of making consistently good drinks. Of course not out of this world but good and familiar. I stay far away during the semester because it just so busy but during the summer this place is great and the outdoor seating is so nice. The tables are sturdy and the chairs are actually comfortable not just some rinky dink metal ones, they have a great backrest. Although I try to always support local stores seating like this outside is hard to come by for a cafe and I appreciate Starbuck's later hours.“
