“This is the first time in a very long time I’ve had exceptional service at this subway. The staff was friendly, my sandwich looks great, and they just all around looked like they loved their jobs which is so refreshing to see at this location. The man making my sandwich was dancing and singing and just made the environment friendlier than I’ve ever experienced. Not sure if it’s helpful, but one man was bald and one had locs, they both were very friendly. This experience gave me hope in this location again :)“

Our daughter is home from college, and she told us that’s the best burger she’s had in a long time. She had the bacon cheeseburger. Hubby had the double cheeseburger, it looked great too. He must’ve enjoyed it, he ate the whole thing! Glad we found this place, we will be back.“

“Went with my niece before an appointment. Showed up a little before 9 and Zuella was the cashier. She was very personable and polite. She had a warm feeling about her. We dined in and my niece and I both got the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Both sandwiches were fresh and Zuella came out and checked on us. She was very hospitable. Restaurant was clean. What I did appreciate was there was a table of staff all sitting together eating behind us. Well in my case B Bops solved my Number 9 Burger and Fires problem with consummate professionalism not seen not seen since the Roman Siege of Alesia in 52 BC. I went through the drive thru a week or so ago and ordered, then pulled ahead and a younger boy made sure to stop and tell me my brakes were squeaking and it was extremely dangerous to drive in that condition. His concern was so sweet and thoughtful. You have very nice employees, I am always impressed!

“I served in the Army for nearly 10 years and was lucky enough to travel to Hawaii, where I first tried Hawaiian BBQ and loved it. When I found out there was a location here in Des Moines, I had to stop in while in town for the INPS Nurse Practitioner Conference.

The food was great—juicy, savory, and full of flavor. I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken (their main entrée, I think) and it did not disappoint. Their packaged sriracha sauce added the perfect heat. I do wish I had ordered veggies instead of double rice, but that’s on me! The twist soft serve was fantastic, and although I’m usually a huge fan of Spam and rice, I surprisingly didn’t love the spam musubi this time.

What really stood out was the service. My food was ready before I even sat down, every staff member I interacted with was friendly and smiling, and the restaurant was spotless. When I overheard they had a Veterans Day special after I’d already paid, the manager (David) went above and beyond and issued me a refund—very kind gesture. My only complaint was the ice machine running out, but the manager handled that right away.

All around, great food, excellent service, and an awesome team. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town and highly recommend this spot!“

As with many businesses, with high employee turnover rates, there just seems to be not many give-a-dangs given by most of the staff, with one or two members truly caring about their jobs and their customers. That being said, the ones who care, do what they can to keep things alive. The food is hit or miss on heat. I even had 1 Frisco handed to me on regular bread that wasn't even toasted. I gave this Hardee's a 4 out of five for their hard workers that are trying their best to keep the business alive and not complaining to every guest who pulls up to the window. The fries are always good, the sandwiches are good, just not always hot or built correctly, and drinks are always cold and fizzy. A for effort to those who do their job. Instead of the usual, both my kids devoured thier burgers, and were even asking if they could get another burger. They are currently talking about how they can't wait to go back. The nuggets were delivered on time to our home by an employee of the store at no charge. They were fresh and hot upon arrival! “Back in the early 2000s I worked for Taco John's corporate for a few years. When I moved to an area where they don't have these, I always make a point to stop and eat at one if I am traveling. Back then we were meticulous. I know that they have changed almost all of the top people now, and that this location is a franchise and not owned by the company, but I was disappointed by a couple of very noticable changes. No salsa bar? No super hot sauce, roasted red chipotle, Pico de Gallo, just packets of hot sauce? No olives on the super potato? No bringing my food to my table? As for this location I stopped for lunch off the highway today. I'll say that the potatoes seemed over-seasoned, and the meat and potato burrito had an awful lot of lettuce on it. None of this is too bad. Service was fast and friendly. Bathroom was immaculate. Lady at the register tried to upsell me twice, and when I didn't want a beverage she offered me a free water cup. Doing everything the way we use to. Taco John's has always been more expensive, but you get what you pay for. This one is pretty good, but I wish they had that super hot sauce.“

From the moment we pulled up to the speaker to the moment we drove off with our food, Victor and his coworker (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) had us laughing, smiling, and genuinely enjoying ourselves.

Their energy was amazing, funny, upbeat, and so naturally warm. They told jokes, kept the conversation light, and turned what is usually a quick, forgettable stop into something that truly set the tone for our whole day. “I was pressed for time and needed to order pizza for a work luncheon with 10 people. After looking at local options, I decided to give Blaze Pizza a try. I placed an online order around 10:09 AM for 8 specialty pizzas. I arrived at the location around 10:45 AM, and a staff member came out to ask if I was waiting for an online order. I confirmed, and he promptly brought all the pizzas out to me. He was courteous and professional, which I really appreciated.

The pizzas were a huge hit! Everyone loved the variety of toppings and sauces, and the crust was absolutely fantastic. I’ll definitely be returning for more work lunches and will also be bringing my family next time. Thanks so much for the great service and delicious food!“
