Very large warm plates with the whole plate covered with beans, rice and chosen entree. All was super delicious, so worth the price! It is a huge facility and can hold a few hundred people. Great atmosphere and not a fly in the place!!! We were completely full, and wife took half her plate home.\nThis Mexican restaurant puts all others to shame ! “Went to El Tenampa to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Boise State University. The main server was a great guy, Hispanic, in his 50s and struck me as someone who actually might be the owner. There were 10 of us yet we got seated within 3 minutes. The food was great and reasonably priced but the best part was this man's constant attention to us. He must have visited our table 15 times bringing food and refills on drinks. He addressed us as "amigos" and "primo" in the most friendly way. His love of working in this restaurant and serving the public was plain to see and he could teach a course on how to be an excellent server. I live over 400 miles away but his great service to our family on my daughter's special day will make me want to visit El Tenampa again!“

Big mistake. The burritos inside were not just food — they were gravitational anomalies. Heavy, delicious, planet-sized creations that nearly broke free from our grasp.

We apologize deeply for underestimating the sheer size and weight of these glorious portions. Lesson learned: at Los Betos, always use two hands when carrying out your burrito — anything less is a rookie mistake.

All of the young people were constantly in motion cleaning, helping customers, cooking and maintaining an efficient restaurant.
