“I'm a Cajun from da mouth of the South (New Iberia, LA) and I approve of this place. We boil dem crustaceans in the seasoning, tho. Also, check out Louisiana Soul Bayou by the IMAX theater if you want legit Cajun food, made fresh by someone from my back of the woods!“

“Best of Meats ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best of Meats aka BOM is a new meat-centric Boise-based food truck that serves Japanese charcoal grilled meat. They offer appetizers, mains, desserts and drinks. I visited for the first time on 11/12/20 and ordered a Grilled Platter. Platters come with two skewers of meat, seasoned rice, cabbage and house sauce. I wanted the beef tenderloin but they were out. I ordered one chicken thigh skewer and one pork tenderloin skewer ($13). That week, everyone who ordered a platter received a free Glazed Donut Ice Cream dessert. One of the owners heard me mention that I was bringing the food back to my office, he generously threw in two more skewers of meat for me to share with my coworkers. I and my three coworkers unanimously agreed BOM deserves a 5 star rating. I am no expert when it comes to Japanese charcoal grilled meat but the meat was high-quality, flavorful and tender. It was served on top of a generous bed of rice and cabbage with a delicious house sauce. The appetizers which consist of two meat skewers, would be perfect for those following a Keto or Paleo diet. Highly recommended!!!“

“This is a great restaurant. We found it while traveling. It will be a go-to for us! We had the Malibu chicken dinner. It was the best I've ever had. Real chicken breast with real smoked ham and cheese. Delicious! It was so reasonably priced.“

“Went to El Tenampa to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Boise State University. The main server was a great guy, Hispanic, in his 50s and struck me as someone who actually might be the owner. There were 10 of us yet we got seated within 3 minutes. The food was great and reasonably priced but the best part was this man's constant attention to us. He must have visited our table 15 times bringing food and refills on drinks. He addressed us as "amigos" and "primo" in the most friendly way. His love of working in this restaurant and serving the public was plain to see and he could teach a course on how to be an excellent server. I live over 400 miles away but his great service to our family on my daughter's special day will make me want to visit El Tenampa again!“

“The best menu I’ve found in Boise for gluten free options. The food was excellent! We had the chop ion soup, ahi blackened salad and salmon fillets. I can’t say when I’ve enjoyed a meal away from home more! And the portions, they were just right!“

“Garibaldi’s is our all time favorite Mexican restaurant in Idaho, and maybe anywhere! And, we’ve lived in Texas, San Diego and Scottsdale where we ate Mexican food everywhere in those locations. The food at Garibaldi's is superb and we’ve tried many entrees. Their daily homemade salsas and chips are so darn good! We love Cadillac margaritas and boy are theirs amazing! AND … their staff, unbelievable! ❤️“

“Best food ever! We came here for our 20 year anniversary and I’m so glad we did! Will come again more often! And for lunch too! The French onion soup really is the best! The wait staff was really friendly, provided wonderful service and…we got the back part of the dining room all to ourselves! We may have spent a few moments dancing in between courses too! Perfect ambiance! Can’t recommend this place enough!“

“Lucky Fins Seafood Grill ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently revisited Lucky Fins in Meridian. In the past, I’ve been to the original location, which is the one in Meridian, as well as the one in downtown Boise, which has since closed. There is also a location in Greeley, Colorado. We started with an appetizer of Kickin’ Shrimp ($15) - Crispy shrimp tossed in a sweet and spicy honey-chipotle sauce, served with a side of ranch and a lime wedge. Similar to Bonefish Grill’s Bang Bang Shrimp, but uniquely its own, this isn’t excellent appetizer! If you like spicy shrimp, it’s worth visiting for this dish alone. I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos ($15) - Tempura battered and fried Arctic cod with shredded cabbage, chipotle aïoli, pickled onions, cojita, and micro cilantro. Served with cilantro lime rice, lime wedges, and choice of salsa. The fish tacos were bland and flavorless. I didn’t realize until I started to write this review that they came with a choice of salsa, but I don’t think that would’ve made much of a difference. I liked the cilantro lime rice. MW ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon ($29) - Center cut, grilled Arctic salmon on Northwest Cedar plank, seasoned with Rocky Mountain meat and fish rub, loaded smashers, grilled asparagus, charred lemon. MW liked the salmon dish, but would opt for something a little more interesting next time. For dessert, we shared Bourbon Bread Pudding, which came topped with ice cream ($10). It was good. The ambience and service were excellent!“
