“Panhandle Cone & Coffee is one of my favorite stops in downtown Moscow, especially on a warm summer day. I visited during the Saturday Farmers Market, and the shop was busy with people cooling off with ice cream while the downtown streets were full of visitors.

The staff has always been friendly whenever I’ve stopped in, and I like that they offer some unique ice cream flavors. This visit I tried the Salted Caramel Brown Butter Cookie, and it was absolutely worth ordering. Rich, creamy, and a fun combination of flavors.

As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series novels, I travel extensively researching the real places that inspire my stories. I enjoy finding locally owned businesses that give a town its character, and Panhandle Cone & Coffee is definitely one of those places.

Inside there’s plenty of seating, with several smaller tables near the front and a large community table in the back that makes the shop feel welcoming and social. It was a hot afternoon, so almost everyone seemed to be ordering ice cream instead of coffee, but it’s easy to see why this has become a popular gathering place downtown.

As a romance novelist, I also appreciate places where people naturally slow down, visit, and enjoy each other’s company. I’ve been here several times over the years and have enjoyed every visit. Highly recommended.“

“I’m a fan of smash burgers and Humble Burger does them right! Brioche buns, delicious pickles, and burger patties with rich beef flavor and thin crispy edges. The house burger sauce tops it off and makes it a really special treat. The fries are also among the best anywhere. I live in Spokane and will happily drive to Moscow and back just to eat at Humble Burger. Go try it, you will be glad you did!“
