“When the sushi roll arrived at the house I was immediately impressed by its presentation. The roll was perfectly rolled, with each piece of crab and rice in perfect alignment. I couldn't wait to take a bite. As I took my first bite, I was blown away by the explosion of flavors in my mouth. The spiciness of the roll was just right, and it was perfectly complemented by the freshness of the crab. The rice was also perfectly cooked making it the perfect companion to everything else. But what really set this sushi roll apart was the service. The waiter was attentive and friendly, making sure that I had everything I needed throughout my meal. He even made a few recommendations for other dishes that I might enjoy, which I appreciated. The sushi roll has been incredible, and the service has been above and beyond. I can't wait to try more!“

“Sakana is definately in our top three for Sushi restaurants in Boise. They are easy to get to and we've always been able to get a table. They have a traditional menu and allow us to customize their rolls which is nice because I like more tempura and spice than they show on the menu. They also offer Tepanyaki dinners which we've witnessed but never tried.“

Brad was our waiter/server and he was so helpful and friendly and Fernando was our cook and he was hilarious and so entertaining. The food was so tasty and there was so much of it! “This review is for the Garden City location!! I have loved this place for a long time. But unfortunately tonight my Katsu was burnt to a crisp, fried rice was as dry as the Sahara. My kids plate was the same order and not any better. My partner's orange chicken was rubbery, like it had been out for a long time. Her Katsu was burnt as well. We have eaten there so many times but the last 2 times it's been absolutely terrible as well and I feel like it was a waste of money. We made macaroni and cheese because we had to throw it out. Next time, we will have to go to the Meridian location and see if our luck is better, but it's going to be a while before we do.“

“After being turned away at a different location and arriving here 15 minutes to closing, they welcomed us and got our order done quickly and accurately. I wish I had gotten the girls name that took our order because she was very professional and kind. We had never eaten here and wanted to go quickly for them, so we wouldn’t make them late to close and she remained patient with us. She and the cook did a great job and the food tasted great. “I go to the one @ Linder & Chinden. Today I added an egg roll to my order and OMG it was the best one I've ever had. The teriyaki bowls are great; generous amount of meat and always tasty. Rarely much of a wait and everyone very nice. Highly recommend.“

“Staff was friendly. The food portions are a healthy size. We ordered to go towards the end of the night. My order took a little longer since there was quite a few to go orders. I was offered a free drink to keep me happy because the wait time was so long. Overall, my experience was good.“

“I grab a chicken bowl from here every day. There were a couple of people waiting today and being impatient. It was only 7 minutes or so on a busy night. The kind gal upfront 'Nicole' was super sweet and respectful in letting everyone know the timing of their order and that other orders were already being processed. The food is yummy and affordable. They definitely get busy here and the food is cooked correctly. Some reviews talk about the veggies being plain but I personally like them steamed plain without seasoning, as I add their delicious custom sauce to it. I will be back every 48 to 72 hours I am sure...“

“The sweet owners and talented cook were so kind. The restaurant was clean. The food was very good. We had the chicken katsu/teriyaki chicken combo with fried rice and veggies. We enjoyed that the chicken katsu was sliced thin, crispy, and the chicken was so tender. The teriyaki chicken was equally tender and the sauce was great. They even had shoyu (soy sauce) which we appreciated. We will be back! Thank you so much!“
