The food was really good, but the highlight of our entire time there was our server Carla. Carla went above and beyond for us. With so many great options, it was hard to choose, but our server, Alexis, was absolutely phenomenal. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and guided us through our indecision with ease. Their exceptional service truly elevated the entire experience. Alexis was the highlight of our visit, and we’ll definitely be returning! French onion soup, shrimp grits, tempura cheese curds, cheesesteak, huevos rancheros, filet mignon sliders, Korean bbq bowl, espresso martini…. Literally everything was amazing.“

You won't need to turn on your phone flashlight to read the menus here. On the way to the restroom you'll pass over the vault in the floor that gives the place it's name that has a transparent see-through floor panel. A pleasant and cozy place to linger and it has an excellent cocktail menu, and The Propietor smoky Old Fashioned cocktail in particular is highly recommended. The only thing that needs to be fixed here is the music, which is a chaotic mess that doesn't synch with the ambiance of the place at all. It needs a theme, like soft jazz, or Mozart classical, or soft New Orleans blues, or 90's grunge.....“

“Walrus Room is a solid five star restaurant. Table service is fantastic. Our server knew the menu inside and out, provided useful recommendations and was very attentive without being pesty. Starting with the appetizers four of us had Shrimp DeJohgne, the Burrata, Curds and Chorizo Mussels. All very very good. From their extensive lists the ladies had wine and I had bourbon. For dinner we ordered the walleye on rice, Amish roast chicken and the prime steak frites. All really good although maybe the entrees were a bit salty. We ordered too much food and drink so the nearly five hundred dollar bill was our fault. Great service, fantastic atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.“

“We LOVED it! My special lady friend and I have both been in the Hospitality Industry for years and we love to go out- not often. So when we do have a chance to go out it becomes a critical examination and banter between us. The staff sometimes catches on as we stare at the linen napkins for 10 minutes discussing how ours do not absorb water as well as these and this color! Is it denim? We don’t serve our pizzas with a pie server - do you? Yeah, but this one is nice and heavy and will not slide off the wood board. Oh- yeah we ate too. It was all very scrumptious, delicious, filling, and quite cozy. We sat on the family side- since I rarely behave and it was nice and noisy, busy and nice to see families out on a Thursday night for dinner. We skipped cocktails and binged on deserts. And they are wonderful! Chocolate Budino and the Lemon Ricotta Tart-order both!! Thank you Tara, Brad, Paulina and the charming food runner- we will be back soon - mostly to checkout the decor in the bathrooms- we didn’t make it back there-“
