“This is the best Japanese bakery around. I have been coming here for years. The bread is so delicious you can eat it by itself and it is also the perfect bread for sandwiches and even French Toast. They have a wide variety of delicious pastries as well. I highly recommend Crescent Bakery. You will not be disappointed.“

“I loved my visit to Tous Les Jours Bakery Café! The pastries were fresh, soft, and not overly sweet — just perfect. They have a great selection of cakes, breads, and drinks, and everything looks beautiful and tastes amazing. The café is clean, cozy, and very welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely a great place to stop by for coffee, a treat, or to pick up something delicious to take home. Highly recommend!“

“We tried two slices of cake and two pastries. The cakes were absolutely amazing — so light, fluffy, and delicious! We’ll definitely be coming back for more and can’t wait to try other flavors. The pastries looked beautiful, but we weren’t big fans of the filling — it had a pudding-like texture that just wasn’t to our taste. Still, that’s a personal preference, so I’m not taking off any stars for it!“

“My fave cakeshop ever! I love their We always come here for sponge cakes, no matter the occasion. I’m super picky with cakes, but these ones completely win me over—it’s not just how pretty they look, it’s the taste and texture too. The mango shortcake and red velvet are our faves and absolute must-tries, and the Kahlua is seriously amazing as well! I love that they sell by the slice so you can sample different ones and discover your favorite.“

The cakes themselves were delicious. I have had them before in Texas, homemade, and these tasted very similar.

We tried the following flavors:

Signature Mille Crepe- it’s like a vanilla flavor- 20 crepe layers ($11)

Dubai Chocolate Mille Crepe- chocolate and pistachio pastry creams with a knafeh inspired topping of kataifi, pistachio and tahini ($15)

Peach Melba Mille Crepe- Raspberry cream, vanilla milk cream, peaches, with a raspberry glaze ($11)

Guava Mille Crepe- guava infused cream cheese pastry creams, strawberry sponge cake, with a guava glaze ($11)

Pistachio Mille Crepe- 20 layers of crepe with whipped pistachio pastry cream and crushed pistachios. ($11)

All were outstanding. Everyone had different favorites.

The price is so high that this couldn’t be a regular treat. But the quality was high as well. At this price point, I might have to learn to make these crepe cakes. Apparently these are made in New York, frozen, and then driven to Chicago. The slices we bought were several days old. But they still tasted great. Highly recommend for a special, expensive treat.“
