“Very clean, and staff is very pleasant. It is a low key gaming spot with the machines to the side so it is also a great place for the non-gamer. The food is typical menu of burgers, hot dogs, subs, etc. I go in a group and everyone has said their order was great, regardless what it was. It is well suited for groups.“

“DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!!! My husband and I moved to the area a few years ago and since we have found this place, we rarely go anywhere else. He had a kidney transplant and is extremely particular about what he will eat and Union Ale House ALWAYS accommodates! Michelle, who is honestly, the most amazing bartender, knows our orders by heart. She welcomes EVERYONE and makes us all feel like we’re sitting at Cheers! The atmosphere is so friendly and the patrons all become friends.
The only time I am bummed is when Michelle isn’t working…“

“Been coming here since 2007! Always great and delicious food. Cozy bar, lots of TVs to watch all kinds of sports. Spiro the owner is very natural and friendly. Highly recommend that place. It’s a great stop when you are in the Deerfield area.“

Depending on the time of day you might need to park a little further away; try for one of the municipal garages if you can, though there's a lot of on-street parking too. If you are lucky enough and in the right place at the right time, you might even score some parking right in front of the bar's front door!

“The Ribs were to die for. They fall off the bones. The BBq sauce has the perfect amount of bite. It's not spicy, just a pleasant lil tang. The chocolate cake for dessert had the right amount of moister. I just wish it had a few more slices of strawberries. Even without the extra berries. I would get it again.“

“Rand Road House delivers fresh hot food and ice cold brews. Stopped in for lunch while waiting for my vehicle to finish across the street. I came just in time for 1/2 Price Burger Tuesday. Ordered a 1/2 pound burger with lettuce, tomato, onions and cheese and boy was it delicious, The patty was cooked exactly as requested medium rare and-just fabulous. Nothing could be better than an ice cold beer and the bottled Old Style was great! Bar staff was attentive and friendly... Rand Road House is a bar without much fanfare and looking forward to a return to try out the ribs with fries.“

“Great location and reasonable pricing for fashionable, downtown Lake Forest. Fun to have the model train running around the ceiling and historical pictures on the walls. The food was the disappointment. Meatball, cheesburger, and BLT sandwitches were mediorce at best for lunch. Several different options for sides. If in the area and want a reasonably priced meal, a good option, but I would not go out of my way to eat here“

“There's something about their wings. They are not large but they are good. At an extra cost you can do all wings on the order or all drumsticks....they got other food options too and alcohol if that's your thing. But try the wings.(crispy)“
