“My previous review was accidentally deleted by me, but let me just say that this is by far the best bar around the Chicagoland area. Firstly, let me start by raving about Colleen, the GOAT of bartenders! She is an absolute sweetheart! From the first day she made me feel at home! If you are new, she goes up to you, introduces herself and hands you a napkin. She has the most awesome and proper etiquette for the hospitality industry. Colleen is an absolute godsend! I do not know a single person who badmouths her. She also makes the best margaritas and rums/cokes! She remembers your name as wel and starts calling you by your name on the second day. The other bartenders are amazing as well. On Tuesdays and Thursdays when I go in, Lisa remembers my drink and food order. She is also a gem as well! As far as the food goes, the chicken bacon ranch wrap is one of the best I have ever eaten. The Cheddar Cheese burger is amazing as well. Seriously this place is a great find. As far as the reviews calling this place racist are concerned, to each their own: I have never had any issues and I am disabled and asian that is like a double negative. It is the most inclusive place around town!“

“My boyfriend and I stopped by Cafe Mistiko this past weekend and wow, it was a pleasant surprise. We both got the lavender latte and it was perfectly balanced, not too sweet at all. I called and the owner answered, I explained i didn't have a car at the moment and he personally delivered the order himself. “The sign says established in 1932, and every time I've driven by, I think I need to stop in. I finally did, and am kicking myself for wasted time. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The large bar and restaurant seating is comfortable and spacious. There is a variety of beers on tap, served in well-frosted glasses. We sat at the bar and I had one of the best burgers I've ever had, served with homemade chips. It was so good that I almost returned with another companion the next day!“

“We had an outstanding experience at Smokin' Jack's BBQ, a truly a fantastic addition to Mundelein.

Cody, our server, was exceptional from start to finish. He was attentive and engaged the entire time without ever being intrusive. Friendly, efficient, and clearly experienced, he took our drink order right away and had everything back to us within minutes, even on a busy Friday night.

At his recommendation, we started with the Texas Twinkies and Smoked Pork Belly... and wow. 😋 I never imagined how perfectly both would be curated. The Pork Belly was unbelievably tender and my fork went right through it. Honestly, I may be chasing that level of satisfaction for the rest of my life.

We ordered a variety of meat trays, and as a foodie family, it’s rare for us to have zero notes but we truly had no suggestions for improvement. The flavors were so well-balanced and dialed in that we didn’t even touch the sauces.

If you’re looking for fall-off-the-bone, boiled-then-grilled rib slab, this isn’t that and that’s a good thing in my book. These ribs are hearty and properly smoked with incredible flavor, served without sauce for a reason... they simply don’t need it.

We grabbed dessert to go and left with leftovers to enjoy later if it survives the trip passed our kids.
