“We visited the Huddle House in the Ozarks for breakfast, and while my experience was a bit hit-or-miss, there’s definitely potential here.

I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry, so I just ordered a biscuit with gravy. Unfortunately, the biscuit was hard as a rock, which was disappointing for something so simple and classic. That said, the gravy had great flavor, which helped salvage the dish a bit.

My wife’s meal, on the other hand, looked and tasted fantastic. She had a big, fluffy omelet with perfectly crispy hash browns and absolutely loved it. I also noticed that the food coming out for other tables around us looked really solid—generous portions, fresh, and well put together.

The place itself is a classic diner-style chain, with that cozy, casual vibe and an all-day breakfast menu. It's the kind of spot that usually delivers reliable comfort food, and I’m guessing my biscuit was just an off moment.

Overall, while my dish wasn’t great, the good service, my wife’s excellent meal, and the quality I saw around the restaurant made me believe they’d redeem themselves on a second visit. I’ll definitely give it another try next time we’re in the area.“

“I came to experience a call back to Route 66 in Litchfield, IL. Jubelt's did not disappoint. I picked up a menu, chose a table, then went to the counter, placed my order, paid, and returned to my table. I ordered their Cuban sandwich, which was a pork tenderloin with thin sliced ham, swiss cheese, pickle, and mustard. Delicious! I took home a Snuggie and Hungarian Cheesecake slice too!“

“We stopped in on Sunday 3/16/2025 on way home from Springfield. I saw tablecloths and cloth napkins thought we would be out of place. Far from it. From the hostess, to waitress, bus boys made everyone feel so welcome. I wish I could remember our waitresses name, she was so good, friendly, knowledgeable. Fried chicken was awesome, as was my husband's chicken fried steak, soup and salad bar. So to the very pretty young lady with the long wavy hair thank you for making us feel so welcome, making fresh coffee and never letting cup get empty.
