“Visiting from out of town and wanted a place to watch the Nuggets game. We stopped in and Dani(sp?) immediately put it on for us! He was super friendly and really went above and beyond for our group. The customer service was great and our appetizers were delicious! Highly recommend and will definitely go back next time we are in town.“

“First time I've eaten there. Food and service was excellent. Had the cheese burger with bacon, mushrooms, and onions...best I have had recently. They take cash and checks only, there is an ATM there. Will definitely Italy eat there again.Parking: Slots are tight and at meal times the lot is full.“

A time travel trip back to a time when everyone knew everyone, and you were greeted with a smile even when you were a stranger. Make a trip to experience this special restaurant. Ask for Mary. “This is a small cafe inside a convenience store with the gas pumps out front. The food was excellent and the service was good. The atmosphere was friendly, and I got the impression that a lot of locals come here for coffee and gossip. Their breakfast menu is robust and this place is just far enough from St. Louis for me to be hungry. I'll be back.“

“Great country diner/restaurant. Found our way to the lucky Rooster after visiting family. Hadn't been there in a while. The food was great. My wife chose a craft pizza, pictured within. I had the awesome spaghetti, great on a cold evening. The dining room was full but the waitress was efficient in taking care of us. Great evening with family and The Rooster helped make it happen. “Just ate there last night. I felt like my grandma's was back in the kitchen cooking. The green beans and mashed potatoes are to die for. The service was wonderful and the young man who served us was very polite. It's nice to see these people take pride in their work and this restaurant. I will definitely be going back.“
“This is a somewhat hidden place in Highland. Unless you're a local you've probably never heard about it and how to get there. It's nearly disguised as a house since it's on a residential street which borders the business district. But either way, it's a great hidden gem. It's a great senior citizen's place, as they are open during certain hours. And in 2024, they will only accept cash - not that it's a bad thing. They do have a great menu, and some may say the food is not top quality. But the prices are very reasonable, whether you're coming here for breakfast and lunch. Service is great as well. Lots of Highland history on display too.“
