“I arranged for an 80 th birthday celebration at the Greek island restaurant in Lombard. . After 80 years of waiting for a celebratory birthday , George , the manager and his staff exceeded my expectations. We had a family style meal for 50 people . Not required preparation , planning and coordination for the staff and cooks . They exceeded our expectations . Everyone of the invitees raved about the quality of the food , the presentation , timeliness , and the competency of the staff . The servers and runners kept the food coming , clearing for the next course , taking drink orders and keeping everyone’s place settings clean and organized . It was an amazing service and all the guests thanked the staff and the hostess for the superb presentation.“

“I have been coming here for years and would have recommended it until tonight. I walked in and was told that they are too busy to take my order!! WTF!?!? Isn't that a good problem to have? Suck it up, that is part of the business!! I have never in all my life been turned away from a restaurant for such a stupid reason. They didn't even know what I was going to order, which was only a gyro and only taken a couple minutes to make. Not very professional, nor a good way to treat a customer....“

“Went here on a field trip with two busses worth of people, and all went smooth. Although we're were served a different menu due to the field trip, the food was still great, service members were kind and attentive, and the area was clean and inviting. Owner was bright and fun, and the staff were each wonderfully selected people. Definitely will come back to try the Greek selection!“

“I really enjoy Mediterranean food and this dish not disappoint. The trio of dips was super tasty and salmon and spinach salad good too and both were plenty to share between two for lunch and arrived to our table quickly. Pricing was reasonable too“

“Stingy about giving condiments. Asked for small sauce for side of gyro meat and register guy took it out of the bag after chef put it in bag because register guy said it I didn’t pay for it and it was extra. I asked how much it was he said 77 cents. Shocked at how Cheap Cheap Cheap this place was. He couldn’t just leave the sauce in the bag. Very very POOR CUSTOMER SERVE!!! Otherwise food is good.“

“Went tonight on a whim for dinner and I’ll just say this place was spectacular! Without even knowing anything about this restaurant in advance, and in town from Pittsburgh for a youth hockey tournament, we happened to drive by and decided to stop and eat there. Walking in the atmosphere was fantastic and the service was spectacular. We sat at the bar, had a few cocktails, unbelievable appetizers, terrific meals for dinner followed by the most amazing desserts ever. While we were there, we had an opportunity to meet and chat with the owner for a little while. Always a pleasure to talk to someone that is passionate about what they do and appreciates both their employees and customers. It was a fantastic dining experience and I highly recommend this place. Thank you Ted for your hospitality.“

“I always go here for the RIB DINNER!! Call in advance to place the order. Well priced, hot and delicious ribs that fall off the bone. Your choice between Greek potatoes or French fries, Greek salad and garlic bread. They never disappoint. HUGE deal on Sunday for the Rib dinner. $20 bucks for two huge slabs, potatoes, salad and bread! STEAL!! Must try!!“

“My fiancé and I have been a gyro war. I’m a Skokie Dengeos girl and he’s a diehard Squabs fan. While it’s hard to compete with childhood memories after trying Squabs I totally get it. The gyro was perfectly cooked, the tzatziki was beautiful, the fries were delicious. The absolute standout was the customer service. I was having such a bad day. I confused the gyro plate with the gyro dinner and they took such good care of me. I had cried the whole ride over and left with the biggest smile and a plate of leftovers. 10/10 I will be coming back every chance I get.“

“Absolutely amazing! The 1/2 Greek Chicken at The Gyros Factory is one of the best meals I’ve had in Des Plaines. Perfectly seasoned, cooked on the bone, and unbelievably tender. The rice pilaf and Greek potatoes complete the plate beautifully. A must-try!“

“My mom goes here a lot but I barely got to tgo for the first time ever, and their food is SO good! I will say my spicy chicken sandwich looked old, it still tasted good, but it looked like it had been sitting there for a while, but their steak sandwich and gyro meat are to die for!“

“I just want to share an experience before the Internet. I have no clue if this is a family owned business or a franchise. I grew up around the corner from the restaurant in the 70's until I was 8 I would walk there everyday and get cheese fries and pickle spears. I was what you would call a regular customer. I was there so much the owner then out of the kindness of his heart would always take care of my bill and send me home with some extra pickle spears. This was before people ever invented paying it forward. So I would like to truly say thank you and I will always pay it forward from all the kindness I learned in my childhood years. Best cheese fries ever wish I lived closer.“

“Stopped in while traveling through O’Hare airport and was really impressed. The burger was excellent, and the fries have officially become my new favorite—crispy, hot, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and quick, getting orders in and out efficiently while still keeping a solid standard for quality. A great stop if you’re looking for good food on the go.“

“Almost forgot about this when scrolling thru my photos. This past June was the first time trying this location, 2nd time overall and the previous was at the Schaumburg location.
I really like their menu here although to many it may be just another Chicago style/Greek fare restaurant. That's fine by me being I live for Chicago hotdogs, juicy burgers, Italian beef, gyros, fries, etc.
The food overall is really good here but the gyros are the bomb. We don't have any Brandy's locations up in Lake County (I live in Beach Park) but I sure wish we did!
If ever in the area again, I could definitely go for some tasty grub from Brandy's. Wish for continued boomin' business for decades to come for the owner(s).“
