“This was my first time at Kona Grill. The food was great! We ate on the outside patio which was lovely. We also ate from the Happy Hour menu which was a great deal. Vegetarian options: Depends on how strict a vegetarian. It is authentic Greek cuisine, so there are many seafood options. Strict vegetarians will be limited to roasted vegetables and hummus dishes, but they will try their best to accommodate.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free dishes are labeled on the menu, but I don't think this is a totally gluten free kitchen with separate prep and cooking areas.

Parking: Large self parking lot that can overflow into other parking areas.

Many people got coffee drinks but I didn’t this time. They also have $2 wonky cookies (just weirdly shaped cookies) that are a great deal. “Showed up for dinner with a 4yo and 1yo around 5pm. Sat us at the booth and had great options for kiddos, high chair for baby, and brought all the food out since we had limited time. Everything from the top tier caviar, lobster bisque, branzino, calamari, and even the chicken tenders tasted FRESH and delicious! Valet free but also plenty of parking! Once you come in; you are greeted with a warm greeting and and enthusiastic smule by the host or owner. The servers are very accommodating , friendly and helpful. They check on their customers for whatever they need until your meal is done. The busboys are hardworking and any requests will be granted right away. The food/dishes are cooked just the way you requests. Their steaks and eggs are up to par. The prices are decently priced. For what they serve you, good amounts of food. Well worth it. Freshness and presentations of foods are stupendous! Never did I have any complaints the way the place is ran. Very clean. Wide open. Eventhough i live far. “Hi View will always hold a special place in my heart. My husband has been taking me here for nearly 10 years, and he has been going since long before that. I’ve never had a dish here I don’t like. My favorite things from here are the soups (specifically the cream of chicken rice and French Onion) and the chopped steak breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes. Their pancakes are the BEST ever and I swear by that.
The servers are extremely kind and always interact with regulars. When I was on a liquid diet prior to and after abdominal surgery, they were kind enough to strain soups for me so I could still have something to enjoy. They take care of you like family and that’s why I’ll always support Hi View.

“I've ordered Lou Malnati's through the mail long distance for a couple years for my birthday without ever having been to an actual location. So my expectations were pretty high when we found out we had a trip to Chicago. We booked these reservations immediately. Honestly, the pizza was better when I could cook it in my own oven and make it a little more crispy with bubbly golden cheese and crust. It tasted a little bland like it needed salt and could've been cooked longer. Otherwise we had a great experience. I will try a different place next time we are in Chicago.“
